You look so happy! I'm glad the hormones are working for you and that you don't seem to suffer any harmful side effects. I'm one of those women who get really bad side effects from hormones so I think they should be handled carefully and it's important that everyone receiving any hormonal treatments do so after careful consideration and after being informed of all the potential risks, as with any medicine
Thank you 🙏❤️ Yes I’ve been very lucky with how the process has gone so far. I know many people find hormones can have a massive impact on emotional and physical health. I’ve had terrific advice from my endocrinologist who started me on a relatively low dose to check everything’s ok, and I have regular check ups. My dosage has increased, and I still feel great. My next meeting with her is next week in fact!
I appreciate this message ~ I am an androgynous person. I set up an appointment for HRT and I got estrogen than very same day, no questions asked ! The doctor didn’t explain any of the side effects or potential consequences. I will not be taking my estrogen, the vile is sitting in my cabinet. It’s been hard but I am starting to love myself and my body for what I have already. My male anatomy is a gift and I’ve decided not to transition from my organic blueprint of life as biologically male. Spiritually I am a combination of both genders. I am huge ally for the LGBTQ, but I think we need to start having conversations about HRT and how it can be dangerous for certain people !
Subbed and looking to see what I can learn. I'm a father, husband, teacher and I see trans numbers ever-increasing in our schools, which has led to some huge distractions to the educational process. Seeing the regret years later from sterile sexless beings is heartbreaking. Why experiment with hormones? That grass isn't greener. Kids should deal with the issues using methods that have shown results(therapy), not with the current medical experiments. Seems some just don't want to be alone in misery, so encouragement continues. You're obviously an adult, so go for it, but I'm still curious, so that's why I subbed. Not looking to hate on you, but to see if I can glean anything of value. I sense sincerity so I subbed, but I think we disagree, which is hopefully how I'll grow. Thanks for making content.
Hello, I am so happy that you've found my channel and taken the time to comment. I really don't want this channel to be a bit of an echo chamber and even though it can be exhausting moderating these comments, ones like these really make it worthwhile so thank you 🙏 I truly believe that for almost anyone, if we were to sit and have a conversation about life - not just transgender issues - we would find so much more commmon ground, and as someone also working in education the safety and security of children and students is my uppermost concern. I know from my own experience how difficult childhood can be and I'm sure you agree that the best way forward is to provide the best support and care possible for all kids. No one should be given care which is inappropriate which means more resources and education is essential. I had zero such support as a chil, but would my life have been better had I had access to therapy and treatment ? I can't really say for sure, but I imagine so. It would certainly have helped me understand myself and my place in the world sooner, and as such reduced some of the shame and disgust I felt towards myself. Do I regret not transitioning sooner? Honestly, it's hard to say. I've actually got a video coming up called 'grief' where I talk about that a bit; it'll be coming out in a couple of weeks. I share your heartbreak for anyone who regrets transitioning. Such people have clearly had a very difficult and traumatic experience. We should certainly hear their stories to understand their history so we can all do better in the future. Anyway, thanks for subbing, and do continue to ask questions and make comments. I need to know if I'm reaching people like you as I see you as my audience. I really hope that through better understanding on both sides we can all get through life in a peaceful way. Have a great week, Andy 😊✌️❤️
@@joecoffey4199 thank you that’s very good advice! I do in fact need to get a check up done. I used to work with someone with your i user name (minus the numbers, of course!), I don’t suppose we meet in the real world my any chance? In Sri Lanka I think?
I think about that too. I think once you are on T blockers your prostate risk declines substantially, though I am not sure. I heard somewhere it shrinks a lot. It may be a myth.
The risk of prostate cancer decreases when a transwoman is on hormones yet checks are still advised, especially for those over 50. Also, the prostate does atrophy and there's different experiences transwomen have when this happens... Some apparently have reduced pleasure during intimacy if I can word it in a TH-cam friendly manner. Take care.
Here in Australia, we have women who need HRT to treat menopause. There is a shortage of such medication in Australia and around the world. And you're using this medication for no real medical reason. Why is it, any which way it goes, real women keep getting screwed? So more women feel like shit because they can't get the hormone thearpy they biologically need while you call them "happy" meds.
@@sarahquinn6989 I wasn’t aware of this issue. Thanks for flagging it; it really is worrying for all women everywhere. To be clear it shouldn’t be that one group’s needs shouldn’t overwrite another’s. That being said, that there are other reasons why there’s a shortage on patches (www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/517695/hormone-replacement-therapy-patch-shortage-what-s-going-on-and-what-can-you-do). I’d be wary of anyone demonising any groups for being the sole cause for the woes of others. Life is frequently more complex than “group X is responsible for Y” but we often see that argument made to one extent or other. I do feel incredibly privileged to be able to access this treatment as so many others are not in a position to do so. Please understand that trans folk are not out to get anyone or to take away the resources of others. I know that for many our ‘emergence’ seems quite new and there’s a lot of conversations to be had. But that’s one reason why I wanted to make these videos: dialogue is a 2-way interaction, and I appreciate people like you taking the time to comment. Again, thank you for raising this. I hope this gets resolved soon - “into 2025” days the article which isn’t great. Take care, Andy
It's not trans people's fault there's a shortage but the medical industry. Please direct your concerns elsewhere. Also trans people absolutely need treatment and it literally saves people's lives.
Remember, these people are more important than everyone else, and we must not upset them at all costs. Especially not at the cost of biological women, can't have that.
@@philnicholson7863 do I seem upset to you? Take a look through my and other trans creators' comments section, and you'll probably find more 'upset' people like yourself.
