Yeah the camera turns to Johnny and Johnny seems to be looking right at the camera and into his soul. The cameraman quickly turns away because he can't handle it. Great moment.
Thom has mentioned that as they had Clive adding drums and percussion to this tour, they were allowed to try songs that were too rhythmically complex such as this one.
id be surprised if Radiohead didnt play this more in the next decade, this tempo and sound is very Thom Yorke of this era. A lot more percussion oriented and danceable
well tbh with AMSP they dropped their dancy beats a bit. It has a lot more strings, chilled songs and a bit of melancholy in each of them, which is cool, they're always contrasting their previous album
they finally played it right!!!!!!! took them long enough! well to be fair, when they first played it in 2001, their idea of experimental was for Jonny to play the riff on guitar through a fast tremolo pedal... it just goes to show how far theyve come in the last 15 years, as far as reproducing ALL of the songs on stage. they can play ANYTHING.
This was my first and only Radiohead show. I loved it. This video got 35K hits the first three days it was posted. People all over knew they hadn't played it in a decade.
My favorite intro to any Radiohead song, I once dubbed that intro for over 20 minutes like a mantra that relaxes me...but they played it really fast and loud, maybe they weren't rich enough to have two drummers or something, but man, it probably drove Thom nuts, great song can't do it justice live...and now they can, thanks guys, way too cool and also unexpected..there really is nothing this band cannot do..yet put an acoustic on Thom and start Exit Music, I am floating.what is it about this guy
Great version - very different in terms of instrumentation to when they played it 10 years ago. Less fuzz bass and more synths, and for the first time ever they played the drum intro! Excellent upload, thanks.
Wow they nailed this one. I love how Thom claps for the performance at the end. Applause was so clearly the appropriate response that he just did it automatically.
Jonny at 0:50: So, you are recording the show Tell me how does it feels to be the only one doing it? Amazing Performance, one of my favourites from KidAmnesiac period !!
Next album's gotta be krautrock-y. It's gotta have a good version of Follow Me Around. And then they'll tour and reintroduce stuff like this into the setlists. Lastly, garnish this fantasy with me actually being able to fetch some tickets and I've pretty much made my life.
Oh I agree, but I still love that groovy previous version. Although I wonder if they'll keep this in their repertoire for the upcoming shows and how it'll evolve.
The funky live version wasn't supposed to sound like the studio version. That's why Thom said "Time for a little experiment." This is the first time they actually tried to play it live like it was on the recording.
I like this version a lot more than how they played it back in the day. It's closer to how it is on the album yet still sounds a little different to it, and it's also closer to their current style.
i like both live versions this one that is more like the album version but better... and I love the origional 2001 live version as well .. this is why Radiohead are so brillliant =) they need to perfrom The Butcher now..........)
Yeah the camera turns to Johnny and Johnny seems to be looking right at the camera and into his soul. The cameraman quickly turns away because he can't handle it. Great moment.
DailyNihilism Or, he's just bored and with a funny expression on his face. But I like your version more
sigma male jonny
What makes you think it was a man, because it was a great shot? Agree.
0:49 Jonny is too good to be doing shit
0:46 -“Now I know how Ed feels”
0:46 wtf jonny
Manuel Dengis lmmmmaaaaaooooo
LOOOOOOOL
Hilarious.
Omgggg hahaha
HAAAH hes just vybing yo
Thom has mentioned that as they had Clive adding drums and percussion to this tour, they were allowed to try songs that were too rhythmically complex such as this one.
I honestly like this version so much more than the older version they used to play on the Kid A/Amnesiac tour.
but unlucky its not well recorded
Its rendition I don't mind but I prefer this. Love the rhythm
Stunning. Love both live versions but glad they did one akin to Amnesiac
Can we take a little moment to appreciate Ed's on screen facial expressions from 0:20 till 0:27 please
99 likes later , yesssss
id be surprised if Radiohead didnt play this more in the next decade, this tempo and sound is very Thom Yorke of this era. A lot more percussion oriented and danceable
Hmm, it doesn't seem like they have played it this year or so, at least from searching on youtube
well tbh with AMSP they dropped their dancy beats a bit. It has a lot more strings, chilled songs and a bit of melancholy in each of them, which is cool, they're always contrasting their previous album

They still haven't played Worrywortt
YOU HAVE LOST IT. LOST IT
They haven't played Cuttooth :c
haven't played pull/pulk yet either
haven't played Tell Me Bitch
00:47
+Pigs on the wing He's like "I can fucking see you, ya know?"
"boi."
Pigs on the wing i
Thom's really groovin' on this track... He must be really enjoying himself playing it. :)
This was my first and only Radiohead show. I loved it. This video got 35K hits the first three days it was posted. People all over knew they hadn't played it in a decade.
amnesiac is such an interesting record. definitely not my favorite of radio head's work, but i just love how quirky it is.
For me its their best album to date
definitely in my top 3
Micah Buzan It's an amazing record, one of their best.
I truly love it. Even the strangest tracks, like pulk/pull revolving doors. There's that.. groove.
I may get a lot of hate but amnesiac is probably my least favorite radiohead album
I come back to this everyday
Although this is a song already they should re record it in this fashion. With Jonny's keys. Sounds fucking amazing.
Jonathan Vazquez-Perez Ill Wind reminds me of this version, with the Amnesiac-meets-King of Limbs-esque atmosphere and synth sounds.
Max Van Westerop Yeah, I agree. I honestly really liked The King Of Limbs and his precise rhythms, although the critic had a bad response to it
My favorite intro to any Radiohead song, I once dubbed that intro for over 20 minutes like a mantra that relaxes me...but they played it really fast and loud, maybe they weren't rich enough to have two drummers or something, but man, it probably drove Thom nuts, great song can't do it justice live...and now they can, thanks guys, way too cool and also unexpected..there really is nothing this band cannot do..yet put an acoustic on Thom and start Exit Music, I am floating.what is it about this guy
After years of waiting they played this song only once. I hope this version gets more love whenever they tour again. A lot more love.
i envy the people who got to see this so much
It's cool that they bring out random stuff and try it again. I'd love to see them try something like this when they come to New York on the next tour!
This came true... Let down last night!
AMNESIAC is one of their two best records, along with THE BENDS--
and criminally underrated, to my ears.
I love how he's looking RIGHT at the guy filming.
I SEE YOU!!
This is awesome! I love the amount of improvisation.
I'm in love with this song. I listen to it on a daily basis
Niiiiiice - True Love Waits for all good Radiohead songs! Thanks for posting!
Thom looks ecstatic they're pulling it off at the end of the song, glad they risked it !!!
Huge uproar!
This is outstanding!!!!
Bloody amazing. Drums on point, Jonny getting straight ethereal on us over there
Easily one of my favorite Radiohead songs. This makes me very happy.
wow jonnys additions sound awesome
I still come back to watch this video... stellar performance!
thanks for this.
pretty good quality! thanks for uploading!
Gives me chills just watching the video,i can't imagine how incredible it would be to see them live.
So jealous of you lucky people !
Great version - very different in terms of instrumentation to when they played it 10 years ago. Less fuzz bass and more synths, and for the first time ever they played the drum intro! Excellent upload, thanks.
I love this. So much closer to the album than the other live version of this.
This is awesome!
I love these guys
AMAZING! First ever true-to-the-album performance! Hope they play this in Santa Barbara!
Goddamn! Love Radiohead so much for bringing this back, I want them to play LA so badly!
Holy crap this is cool, can't wait to see them again in june
I patiently await the return of this song to their setlists
They look like they are having so much fun and flourishing because of it.
After years of waiting.. they played this song!! (amonst other not-often or never played songs)
Best band.
Perfect illustration for their song
theyre awesome
superb
I don't know why, but I can't help but smile when this song starts
Would kill to see this band live, especially now that they've started playing this song and 'Amazing Sounds'
Wow they nailed this one. I love how Thom claps for the performance at the end. Applause was so clearly the appropriate response that he just did it automatically.
Oh my god!! They've never played it this way before, that's soo sooo good :')
Jonny at 0:50: So, you are recording the show
Tell me how does it feels to be the only one doing it?
Amazing Performance, one of my favourites from KidAmnesiac period !!
I see what you mean. I loved/still love the old live version too... But this definitely takes the cake for me.
YAY!
How very solid, and virtually unheralded, is Phil Selway's mastery of beats...
I love how Collin sits down half way. So chill.
i was next to you, thx for posting!!
I can't believe Jonny Greenwood, he's like the cutest puppy ever !
I hope they play this in Chicago. One of my favorite tracks on Amnesiac.
Holy crap! This is amazing! Definitely better than the Studio Version. Of course, I love that studio version too.
Ed's face when the the song is beginning is priceless. You can see him mouth the percussion part.
cazzo che bel video!
Next album's gotta be krautrock-y. It's gotta have a good version of Follow Me Around. And then they'll tour and reintroduce stuff like this into the setlists. Lastly, garnish this fantasy with me actually being able to fetch some tickets and I've pretty much made my life.
Follow me around Is on kid amnesia now lol
Ed's face in the screens at the start of the song are hilarious! Waiting for the audience reaction, haha.
Amazing how this version sounds much closer to the studio one than the funky live version they used to play a decade ago.
Dear god that pan to Jonny's face kills me every time!
Shocked to find out it hadn't been played since 2001...whyyyy?! Great song.
dang you guys are lucky
After years of waiting, nothing came. So Jonny wait still.
was there and lost my shit when they played this! totally unexpected!
Oh I agree, but I still love that groovy previous version. Although I wonder if they'll keep this in their repertoire for the upcoming shows and how it'll evolve.
And he did, indeed :)
Holy shit the beat
The funky live version wasn't supposed to sound like the studio version. That's why Thom said "Time for a little experiment." This is the first time they actually tried to play it live like it was on the recording.
“Time for a little experiment” lol
It went well imho 🙌
Groovy as f*ck
jonny's keys reminded me (gladly) of seal's version of fly like an eagle
I can't remember the last time they played this song! Guess you could say I'm an...*takes off sunglasses* ...AMNESIAC!
I like this version a lot more than how they played it back in the day. It's closer to how it is on the album yet still sounds a little different to it, and it's also closer to their current style.
Man I was there...oh my god...
GOO
And they haven't played it since! I thought this sounded like a successful enough experiment for it to hang about on setlists!
this sounds a lot more different than it did on amnesiac i’d honestly say it has a similar sound to tkol
OH MY GOD....
wow fcking amazing..
wowwww
DAT KEYBOARD
i was just wondering today if they ever played this one live
Thom was well pleased
But those keys... they add so much!
Ohohoh, infamous Greenwood stare. Dare I say both of them innately possess this trait.
0:46 sobbing
word
0:47 "k pinshi flojera thom qlo no hago nada alv"
they haven't played this since this performance...hope that changes tomorrow in Camden!
I was at this show and this blew my mind. I like this version much better. A little less abrasive and more warmth to it.
i like both live versions this one that is more like the album version but better... and I love the origional 2001 live version as well .. this is why Radiohead are so brillliant =) they need to perfrom The Butcher now..........)
That Casino Thom's playing makes it sound like LIttle By Little
Came for the song, stayed for Jonny's face
AND IN THE EYES OF A JONNY I SAY KA-BOOM!
i could never tell, but was anyone else 2 tabs deep and just taking it to the face.
