I will never get over their ability to render the synths so perfectly in a bluegrass quintet. It is a huge testament to their abilities not just as musicians, but as listeners. So much nuance here...
I saw Punch Brothers in a 120-year-old school auditorium in Madison, Georgia in September. It's probably in my top ten shows of all time. They are mesmerizingly brilliant. If you like this, I highly recommend tracking them down and seeing them live.
"im a reasonable man get off my case, get off my case" This song fits so well with my experience as a south eastern ky guy, in my automobile. Dirt roads turning to gravel, while the trees twist in sleep along the melting hills and mountains.
Some things that would make this better: 1) If they were all riding unicycles. 2) If they were all blindfolded whilst riding said unicycles. 3) If they were set on fire whilst blindfolded and riding unicycles. Just some thoughts...
I love Noam. I want to consume and be consumed by his voice, let alone the banjo... magic; it's magic. But why is he wearing his uncle's suit? Hadn't he won the Steve Martin award by then?
I dont wanna sound like a douchebag Radiohead hipster fanboy; but I think you really need to know the song really well too appreciate how brilliant this cover is
@JESSISINHO2011: Thanks for the suggestion. Actually, I like this one better. Strange, because I'm a a big fan of classical. I just think the mood is truer in this one than the Sybarite5 version. Sybarite5 version is really dissonant. Feels a slight bit off.
This group obviously has:
1) good taste in music
2) talent in playing their instruments
3) awesome arranging skills (most impressive imo)
They're a reasonable band, get off their case.
I feel like Jonny especially would appreciate this
I love how you guys do Radiohead's weirdest ones, and give it some stringy sound.
I like my Radiohead covers like undercooked green beans served with overcooked chicken: tough and stringy.
After Twelve years of waiting I found this wow
Wow. This is awesome!!!. This is a hard song to cover
Moses A definitely!! Stop many different timings and little ambient 'picks' but they did a great job!

This is the best Radiohead cover. Choice of song is crazy. How they pulled it off is even crazier! Well done all around! Absolutely brilliant 👏👌😀👍🙌
I wonder if Thom and the boys have heard any of these Punch Brothers covers. I bet they would approve.
I love how they make it sound like a Penderecki composition
I just hope Jonny Greenwood finds this video one day, and I'd love to see his reaction.
This is why I love youtube, so you can see stuff like this!
That was the most impressive cover/rearrangement of a song I've heard in a good while. Major props.
Wow. This amazing cover just reinforces how significant Radiohead's music is.

i thought this song was impossible to cover... OMG this guys are genius
I think at this point Chris Thile could compile an entire album of his bands (Punch Brothers and Nickel Creek) covering Radiohead.

The use of the banjo for feedback and the guitars percussion are the best parts! My earhole just jizzed!
