you probably lost the little plastic bit (he calls it the gasket) that comes loose when you take it apart... It doesn't work without it.

this saved my life oml It came
like that outta the box and I thought I was stupid and not drinking it right because it kept making a screetching sound and no water was coming out and after I flipped open my straw I saw the air thing was jammed and now it’s perfectly fine for me I needed to pull the hole thing out so I used a roasting marshmallow kebab skewer and pushed it out from the other end and then fixed it now it’s fine :)

a hydro you just pull it towards yourself like the guy in the video my gasket was jammed and I needed to take it out and replace it my bottle is fine now
