I love you correction for the heatgun and pushing a bulge in the back for the light to sit in. Quick question on retaining the bulb. The retaining clip that came with the factory lights will not work with the new bulb. Did you have this same issue and if so what did you do to correct it. Thank you much Bryan
@umbrobryan I used the same hella clip , my kit was from DDM tuning and their 55 watt bulb just mash it in but make sure you align the index marks right.
Hahha thats f'n dope! Know it's a noob question cause i haven't really done much research yet. But what is each housing pulling lumen wise? Wanting to throw a 30" led bar on my bumper but thats more then I want to spend right now.
Two questions for the OP. 1. Do you know if this would work on a black magic series light? 2. Could you put a link to the kit you used in case I missed it
I don't know what SANO means, but I don't want anything to do with it. No offence dude, but I'll take a clean grommet over that bulbous deformity ya put on that housing any day.
Hey yall been meaning to post another vid to show how things turned out , i will asap till then just cut the ends then add what ever ends you want . Hella has changed their housings so be creative and i use DDM tuning 6k 55 watt HID in this kit. So worth the trouble when you see these,I will post what they look like as soon as I put a song to the pics taken back then so youtube will load them
Start up voltage: Unmeasurable without a High Voltage DMM, with test leads attached bulb won't ignite. Run voltage: 86.3V AC (106.8V AC on a non RMS meter) Wattage at bulb: 42.29W Lux at 300mm from bare bulb @ 15mins runtime: 5,638
Wow people, don't pull the race card so fast. If you really did your homework on Hella 500's you would know that the ones made in mexico fade and crack in the sun unless you paint them. The newer ones from elsewhere do not!!! Nuff said I think. Hella also changed the retainer for the bulb. This video won't work for the new hellas.
Glad I found your video helped me a lot did it n it turned out great. Except I messed up on one it's all good thanks
Thanks for posting man! This really cool keep the videos coming!!

Good info and craftsmanship, but your vulgarity makes you sound ignorant. Not trying to insult you, just a heads up.
