Hi, I am Brad and I am an addict. Consider yourself lucky 4nines. For reference I am 67 and I have collected from the age of 10 ish. It started with coins and stamps, then moved to rocks and fossils, then towards junior school historical artifacts of the space program and WW2 militaria. I never quit collecting the other items, just kept adding more to areas to collect. The rocks and fossils hobby became self sufficient and I always planned vacations around a destination I could collect from the source. The rest I have spent money and more than once pissed off the wife. How I make it all work is, I would sell emeralds ,sapphires and so on that I found and polished to have the money. If someone wanted a piece of jewelry I made I gave them 2 prices. One was the cash price the other was the 90% silver price. At a time I should be downsizing, I am still adding.
I love the quality of Perth Mint. Finished the Kookaburra album. I needed a 1999 1oz no privies, but only one on eBay $100... So, I waited & waited. Then one popped up for $50 turns out to be toned with blue & purple all along the rim. Currently adding the 2024 colored carded dragons. Need only 3 more to finish. I was trying to trade some other silver for a vintage Australian kilo bar to top it off, but the guy wants cash only. Afterwards, looking to add more back year dragons, the rabbit, & the snake. When I feel comfortable with the amount of silver I have. Then to add the fractional Gold. To finish the 1/10 gold kooks add to my 2020! Goals!
@FourNines-silver it's getting there. Selling off some libertad proofs to buy a chunky libertad roll & finish the carded colored dragons. Anything left will go to the 3rd Germania Beasts, 2024 Libertad, Perth Lunar Snake, Tiger, &/or Rabbit. I'll then line up for the 2025 Kookaburra to drop. Then back to fractional Gold Kooks, Dragons, & and Snakes.
If you start stacking more gold you could consider alternating between a slightly more numismatic pickup and follow it with something like a 1/10 or1/4 oz US eagle or somesuch or a low premium old coin like a French Franc, British sovereign or an Austrian ducat. They're usually pretty low premium and add some gold weight in a (slightly more) affordable manner and for me at least keep collecting gold interesting as you get to learn about these older coins while also seeing what modern mints produce. and sometimes maybe save a bit for a half or full oz. Enjoy bro and nice video again thank you:)
Oh I know brother. I spent 250 to 600 a week on drugs. I had a ball but nothing to show for it. for the past 20 years I have been investing in myself. Now I spend about that on silver, gold and other investments. I don't buy anything that doesn't make me money or improve my life.
lack of patients and fomo cause poor decisions and makes "addiction" worse. it can be a cycle of failure. its ok to sit back once and while to make a better, more informed choice. which sometimes takes time.
Hey missed you man!!! It’s been a long time since I’ve been around on a stream or video. I’m glad you’re still around making amazing content!! Post note I just turned 18 on the 15th so now I’m a legal adult stacker 😂
@ Thanks brother it’s much appreciated!! I’ve been stacking since 16. I’ve learned it’s the most responsible and enjoyable hobby I’ve ever had. I can both enjoy what I buy while still being able to sell it if I have no other choice if I need extra cash. But so far I’ve just traded for some gold. And now I’m starting again to acquire more silver to my stack! There is just something so special about silver and gold. I couldn’t care what it’s worth I just love it as a naturally beautiful material!
I thought you were going to allude to people stealing your precious metals collection as being dangerous. I like your funny spin on this about going into debt to fund your collection. If you have to go into debt to be in this hobby my advise and yours is to only buy what you can afford even if it is just a generic one ounce silver coin or fractional amounts every few months. You could always stack generic or doubles in silver and then sell your doubles that you already have one of already for gold coins that you want. Helps consolidate your stack.
At the moment i only buy platnium. At 28 I will begin to buy some silver again, but not much, silver and gold is to expensive at the moment in my opinion. At 26/25 silver is getting more interesting and at 22 i go all in
The perth mint is great Got my 1oz silver Kangaroo made by perth mint today and have 2024 1oz silver rectangular dragon coin coming made by the perth mint I plan buying a perth mint 5 gram gold bar when I get paid at the beginning of the month
@@FourNines-silver 100 percent buy what you like as a collector but as you said be careful that it is something you can afford. After years of paycheck to paycheck living I have been fortunate enough to have been gifted enough money to put that fear in my past. I just started stacking silver about 3 months ago and honestly I probably went to fast. Not necessarily due to FOMO but just because it is so fun, but in many way addicting. Thankfully I haven't spent anything more than I can afford but I could certainly see a situation where there could happen.
Addiction is real
Yes I want more!! No, seriously

Discipline and foresight are virtuous pertaining to collecting anything.
Patience is key!

True!!!!
Love the channel and the work!!
I personally put away 5% each week from my paychecks to stacking silver. It’s a good number
I agree that's an excellent ratio to maintain!
Liked, subscribed and saying hello. Good luck with your channel and your stack.
It can be very addictive especially having a TH-cam channel.
Thankyou for following and liking! And you're right, youtube does add a tiny bit of pressure to continue picking up nice pieces!

Very good strategy i agree. Slow and steady wins the race
Premium silver... Pricey! Imagine if you got your silver/gold through "waffles".
Only us Addicts know the pain 😱

Well, you’ve got to know your limits.
Exactly!
dont forget to mention that you can get heavy metal poisoning by handling this without gloves
I will keep buying 90% not paying 3 to 9 dollars for the pretty shit bought at the dip today I’m 67 know what I’m doing
Are we men or magpies? The fascination with shiny things? Yes, it can be addictive I guess.
Sorry cant not and been stacking for years....thats not a safe stack would neveeeerrrr
My stack is not fun or interesting...i see your collection that would be an easy ounce bigger if generic gold bad investing...but nice stuff enjoy
