I love love landscapes!!. I liked the red very much, the way you used it was so shadow and contrast effective. Please continue doing more landscape, especially with water. 🙏🏼❤️
Beautiful llandscape! I also love Pe-ry- lene green as well. Sorry but my mom was a stickler for pronunciation and spelling when I was growing up, so now it is a pet peeve with me. Not your problem, it's mine.😂 when I hear praline I think of sugared pecans.😊
Great idea and challenge for me! I haven’t painted any foamy or larger waves on camera yet but I’ll add that to my short list! I did paint an ocean scene with calmer water here to get you started: m.th-cam.com/video/nRMxDu75JbM/w-d-xo.html
I enjoy your landscapes and your use of purlene green and red. I don’t quite get your use of water, it seems you’re going in dry, yet you’re getting mainly one coat coverage. I see you going back in with more pigment yet you’re not getting cauliflowers….what’s your trick?
The trick is to have a damp brush. Cauliflowers or “blooms” are created when you add too much water and not enough pigment to a damp surface. The water spreads, but the pigment is pushed out by all the water and settles in at the edges. If you dab your brush off on a paper towel or rag (I use a rag), then you can avoid the blooms. Definitely a more “dry” painting technique, but it gives you a lot more control!
Great landscape 🥰🥰🥰🥰. I think you may be mispronouncing Perylene Green, sounds like you are saying Praylene. Pronounce like pear-a-lean. I may be wrong, please let me know, my be my old age. So enjoyed your video😊
Before I used it in a video last year I googled how to say it but maybe I used a bad source! I’ll do more research as everyone seems bothered by my pronunciation this time around, haha!
Just a couple of comments and a question I know that watercolor and oil and acrylic painting candy really super messy so I was kind of cringing through the whole video hoping that you didn't get all your rings messed up with😊 LOL also if you don't like the pad of paper just throw it out and here's my question where did you get that porcelain Tran how much is?
Watercolor is water based and will do no harm to my rings. Even if pigment did get on them, it would wash right off. Oil and acrylic are a little more “risky” but again, metal and diamonds are pretty safe from the evils of painting. I often use paper that I don’t love to test out different techniques or work in a subject that makes me uncomfortable: like landscapes. I really like this size even if the paper isn’t my favorite. It can be liberating to try something new “for free” and I usually experience a lot of growth through these trials. You can find my porcelain mixing tray here: amzn.to/45R2xT2
My 4th baby arrived prematurely in April and was in the NICU for several weeks. He’s great now but my maternity leave started unexpectedly early and I wasn’t able to pre-record as many videos as I had planned. Hoping to be back to recording/posting soon! Thank you for understanding ❤️
I would love more beginner tutorials like this. Thank you!
Oh good! I have more coming-just waiting for naptimes to work in my favor, hah

Thank you for the feedback! It really helps me-I will definitely paint and share another landscape soon ❤️

I enjoy HG and Magnolia tv and those pastural landscapes are showing up in their decor often. Especially with big clouds, hills and trees.
Love landscapes
I’m learning to love them myself! I never considered myself any good at them in the past but I’m enjoying this explorative process
Just found your page & so excited to follow some tutorials as I learn watercolors 🎨 I’d love to see you do some ocean/waves paintings!

Very pretty! The overlay is very helpful since the pencil marks are difficult to see. Thank you for the wonderful instruction!
So glad it was helpful! Thank you for the feedback ❤️❤️❤️
Loved this! Thx❤
So glad!
Hello Katrina! Welcome. Thank you for your video.
Hello! So glad you enjoyed the tutorial ❤️ thank you for the kind comment!
Thank you. I want to do uncomplicated landscapes as I am just starting
That seem to be more of my style-if I try to get fancy it all goes wrong, haha
Beautiful work
Thank you so much ❤️
I like the red!! I can see why you don't like the paper. I used to think it was me with certain paper.
Yes! Thankfully I’m experienced enough now to know the difference. It would have really set me back if I was more novice
beautiful work, beautiful wreath❤️ please tell me the link to the polish, you bought it online, thanks in advance
Hello dear! I think you left this comment on the wrong video-if not, could you tell me more about the polish you are looking for to refresh my memory?
@@katrinacrouch Using Google translate, I said that you have a beautiful job, a beautiful landscape.
Where did you buy the ceramic paint palette
There’s an Amazon link in her supply list for the palette.
Beautiful! I love this style.
@@suel4269 спасибо❤️❤️❤️
Do you have a tree tutorial?
Pine tree or deciduous? I have the process for my pine trees in this video (but not a dedicated tutorial): m.th-cam.com/video/J5_dD-rhGSg/w-d-xo.html
I'm a very beginning beginner😊. Can you tell me what the pen is you are using for the contrast around the lake? Thank you
No pen! Just watercolor built up to make it darker ❤️
But the tool you're using is a brush? I can't tell🤷♀️😊
Yes! Just a small brush ❤️
Thank you so much❤❤
Show more tutorials!🤗🤗Thanks
So glad you enjoyed it, Joanne! ❤️❤️❤️

That’s a great question-I’ll try to film a video demo on that for you soon ❤️
Meanwhile, thank you for your response and I’ll try this today again.

Sea scapes please.
Oooh, that could be fun but I’m also intimidated 😬 haha
Does anyone know how to properly pronounce Perelyne? I've heard it as "pray-lean", and as "pear-eh-lean". It's been confusing me for months! 😂
It’s “Pear-eh-lean”, unfortunately. Pregnancy brain hit me hard with this video and I tried to read it off in a rush and messed up. Sorry!
@katrinacrouch oh no apology necessary! I've pronounced it "pray-lean" for sometime 😅 I swear I still have pregnancy brain... and my boy is 13 😂
Are you off ?
Off of what?
