Usually the series lamp stays on if short circuit and goes off if not. in this case, the lamp stays on (flashes) because the power supply wasn't taking power till needed?
when the PFC circuit tries to boost the voltage, in that specific time, if the input voltage are dropped, then the PFC controller stops boosting and waits until the voltage reach again at required volatge value. when using the series lamp. the lamps drops more volatge in that PFC startup time. thus the line voltage are dropped at input terminals of power supplies and PFC goes in reboot mode. which causes the flashing scene on the series lamp

Great video as usual. You probably know this little trick already. When trying to measure a component that keeps moving around , like the diode did. Try and take a piece of tape (masking, duct, etc.) and place the component on it and it will stay still to measure it.
Very good investigation as usually. At 09:50 exactly near the bulging electrolytic capacitor, there is a diode which looks externally broken. I'm not sure if D810 is the pcb marking, I cannot see it clearly.
assalamu alaikum, I would suggest that you always before starting repair to visual inspect the whole board. Sometimes it gives you some hints where to start your troubleshooting. Thanks for the video
Sir ji please show some of the weird faults for example a zener diodes apparently good on multimeter but in circuit it is failing after some time. I am talking about a zener diode in path of feedback to the Offline switching ic. If we solder both ends of this diode it will work upto next morning then again it stops working no output and if we solder again then it is working fine upto next morning. Please make a video about these problems. ❤
The axial diode mounted just beside the bulged electrolytic cap is also physically broken. But maybe is working fine… You can look at the video to see the broken diode.
That is RCD snubber diode. Snubber diode's failure never causes short circuit at input line please check this link th-cam.com/video/nf7IGVU1KYA/w-d-xo.html
Good evening Mr Haseeb. I have a question for you regarding the output of a 48vDC led drive for a 1200w light fitting. The drive gives good 48v output but when it’s connected to the light the fitting flashes constantly. The fitting is brand new and works fine with another drive. What could be problem? Maybe I could send you the drive for you to create tutorial video on the problem? Many thanks.
I have a powersupply using 3842 ic. In this supply I have problem og flucting output. If I place black prob on positive and red prob on positive it show stable -24v. But when I put black prob on negative and red on positive it show 8 to 35 v flucting voltage. At VCC capacitor flucting voltage, aut input optocoupler 0 to 0.9 flucting, at main capacitor around 250v in place of 315-320. I changed main capacitor, VCC capacitor,3842 but no benefit. Also check all diode, auxiliary supply. What may be the problem ? No short found in output.
Sir, I designed a 24V half-bridge SMPS with an IR2153 IC. I'm getting a 24V output, but when I connect a load, the voltage drops to around half of 24V. What is the problem, and how can I fix it?

most welcome and special thanks for your valuable presence
Sir, there is a faulty diode
Next to the faulty capacitor
Check out the video at 9:56
Thanks for your valuable information
Yes, you are right. I showed this capacitor
I replaced that capacitor in next step.
Very interesting fault finding Sir 💐 🎉 🎁 🍰
yes, it is interesting and logical,

So nice sir ji❤❤
Very nice video sir....what can we do if half output is present,i mean 12 v output instead of 24v... please guide us sir ...

Remove and check the mosfet or transistor
mosfet & transistors are in DC line. our problem is in input AC line
Asslam o alaikum sir please full video banae Arduino uno ki k kis tarah agay ipm say koi moter yah compressor chala sake apni marzi ki frequency say

How much watt for series lamp for test (best practices)?
100 watt tungsten lamp is good for regular use.
For low wattage power supplies 60 watt is more safe
