When removing the two screws holding the prism at 9:21, DO NOT loosen both. They set the lateral position of the prism and affect what the finder shows. Loosen only ONE of the two screws. This will maintain the lateral position of the prism.
This is a great video. I love this camera. The frame counter on my Spotmatic is stuck. It doesn't move when winding the film advance lever. When the back is opened, the counter doesn't reset to zero. How can I repair it?
Thanks for the video. Because of people like you we can keep enjoying our cameras
Thanks for your words!

Thanks for the tip.
Thank you for sharing. Your video made it a very straightforward job for me.
What size is that tiny screw drive?
Hi, it's 1mm...
can i ask if you know which pentaprism from other cameras can be replaced with spotmatic sp1?
Sorry I don't have that information...

I soak pentaprism in isopropyl alcohol to remove old foam adhesive. If you leave it the old adhesive will cause de-silvering.
Where did you get the new foam strip from?
You can find it on Amazon in sheets: amzn.to/3ZiDpUC
One giant mistake. The frame counter should reset to -2 and to 0.
You are absolutely right! I did correct that later on...
