That's a S-tier intro: apologizing about framing while there's blurry blob in frame at the bottom of the screen. I hope that was intentional, because that is just perfect [chef's kiss emoji].
Seriously good shit, man. Don’t sweat it on the framing. There’s still tons of great info here. As someone who’s watched your old spotmatic videos (many times), I can definitely see this being a good replacement series. Looking forward to part 2!
Even tho the framing is kinda bad, we can still make out what you're doing. So the video serves it's purpose (to me, at least). With this, I feel confident to open up my SP2 and figure out the weird meter and the squeaky curtains. Keep it up Mr. Bronco!!
They looks so freaking easy to work woth T_T" And also the fact that you are literally un-rusting the back of the camera just above the mirror box is top notch professional method here haha
Outside of replacement I don’t have any great recommendations unfortunately, there’s a seller on etsy I think Hugo Studio or custom camera something like that that does a great job
So satisfying to watch, and interesting to see the inner workings of this camera. Do you also repair Nikon f’s? I just bought an f3, would love to see the inner workings of that camera!
Vote Romping Bronco for Pentax sponsored person, maybe a few mentions of Pentax in the comments will wake Pentax up. We love a Pentax even a grungy Pentax. POV is ok, Its good to see a Pentax repair video again, its been a while. More Pentax 👍
It's all fun and games when the gunk can be taken off with swabs and cleaning alcohol but when the gunk is in there good and has become one with the camera its heartbreaking

Watching this on a Sunday afternoon with coffee in hand and an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic SP with lots of potential as a personal DIY CLA project.
That’s the dream! Best of luck to you
@@RompingBronco Thanks!
@@RompingBronco Do you recommend using sewing machine oil or watch oil when overhauling the SP? Thanks!

Admire your skills for repairing 35mm cameras. Flaunt the imperfections, mate.
This is good stuff.
Thank you, I was really disappointed with the framing but we'll get em next time.
Nice so i learned something; il use vinegar for the moldy parts of my ESii
