    cool footage. In Gatineau we have a signaler walking backwards and frontwards with a glow stick at night same in the daytime but with no glowstick to make sure nothing happens in front to guide the truckers etc..., and to make sure all is well in front also with a radio and we all stop if a citizen is the sidewalk to let him or her pass. He also can check if he sees something in the snow that could get stuck and brake the shear pins of the blower.

    The residents in the streets where you live could have brought you a coffee if you were already on your street as a thank you for your help. That would be a given in our country. Of course, bringing you a coffee would be great👍👍👍😊

    Bro great video, and the drone shots are outstanding!! You told me people in Ottawa know to stay away from the machines??? 2:00 & 2:10 are exactly why Montreal has safety guards walking ahead of the blower to keep the path clear... Personally I would NEVER walk that close to those machines!, guard or not! Ottawa trippin' lol 2:10 could've been run over if the driver was looking at the snow blower in his mirror

      @@OFP always stay out of the way of snowblowers I hit a car one time when I was walking with my snowblower and I asked them to move and they ignored me so that's what they get for having there car in the road just sitting there

    I watch one of those snowblowers eat up a parking meter throwing it in the dump truck change and all like it wasn’t even there haha

    THIS is the way snow should be removed...dont know WHY it isn't done this way in the snow-impacted States of the US!!!

    Good videos. Ho by the way, question here. I still wonder why in Ottawa, dump trucks don’t have those tall boards on the side of the back box like in Québec we see. It can pack up and carry so much more snow that way. Is there a city bylaw against it? And idea? Merci.

    As I'm watching this I think to myself, "surely they will collect the no parking signs before the snow blower gets to them." then later, "oh ok, that's how they collect them" as the snow blower eats them up. 😂😂

      @@OFP the snowblower prolly runs them over and they get turned into scrap then the toe truck comes and removes the cars that are parked where they shouldn't be then the vehicle owners like where the hell is my car. Oh it's at the tow yard

      When they start through out the city it’s at least a dozen operations… it’s massive they normally start downtown

    wonder if the environmental wizards will complain when their street is not done? Maybe we can fashion some solar panels or windmills to the top of these graders and blowers etc. or not, wait till the complaints come pouring in!

    I love how in Montreal every snowblower has a person walking in front of it and one thing they do is pick up the No Parking signs from the snowpiles. In Ottawa there is no safety person so the showblower just grinds up the No Parking signs and spits them out into the dump truck :(

    • @OFP
      @OFP  ปีที่แล้ว

      They remove all the garbage and signs once the snow is all melted don’t you worry!! Why force someone to freeze?? There’s no need for a person to walk infront of the blower
