Got 5.11 for the first time from my old job, I loved how they fit and the durability. I did restoration so lost of bending/ crouching. Constantly getting wet due to flooded basements and they would dry out quick. Now I have to buy them myself and they’re $90, yikes. Worth the price though
Thanks for the comparison video. I love the 5.11 trousers. I own a few pairs in coyote/brown and ranger green. They have a good poly/cotton mix, so they don't take forever to dry. When it comes to tac jeans with a more civillian like look, LMS Gear and 4-14 Factory are of exceptional quality. They come with loads of pockets for all kinds of stuff (incl. 5.56 and pistol mags). You'll get a removable gear-insert with the 4-14 Factory ghost. There are additional multi-purpose tool/mag inserts and pouches from blackliongear, that fit perfectly into to the mag/back pockets.
I have a pair of proppers I have had for a year they’re 36$ usd I like them a lot I switched from 5’11 to them they’re 65% polyester 35% cotton and theyre are ripstop it’s the same brand that makes pants for the us military and have been doing so since the 70s or 80s
What color are the 5.11? I love the pants but the color I ordered are too grey and I’m returning for another one. I’m looking for a neutral/mid-tone brown. Those one’s look nice.
My criteria is can you perform a full deep squat in them hands free without having to ruck the knees because they stick or get caught. Pants that can do that = Tactical As Absolute FUCK.
Most comfortable trousers I like is Dickies Everyday Pants, Regular Fit, Grey/Black £28 or Lee Cooper Men's LCPNT205 Heavy Duty Easy Care Multi Pocket Work Safety Classic Cargo Pants Trousers £16.00
I got few 5.11 pants; very useful when working on ladders or lifts; plenty of pockets vs regular work pants. Also, compared to regular jeans 5.11 wash better.
Im a great fannof these tactical gear and whatnot but just think about it the afghani Taliban wearing very flimsy shalwar kameez and their peshawari chappals deftead not just the U.S army but her allies armed to the teeth with all these tactical gear is just mind boggling
Yeah, generally the more you pay the more you get. And if you use something daily (specially for work) then spend the money. It is like a welder that needs fire retardiing clothes or a mechanic that needs rugged pants and safety boots or a programer that needs a powerfull machine and ergonomic peripherals... a good pair of pants can make the day much much better and make you more productive, or at least you wont get home with a horrible attitude from uncomfortable pants that dont last and dont allow you to move and force you to dig through your pockets every 3 mknutes cuz you only have 2 in the back and 2 in the front but you carry 100 things on your person.
Wrangler performance flex pants. $23. Best bang for buck.
They don't hold up to hard use
I really like 5.11 Stryke pants. I can get them for ~76USD in March 2024, and I think it's really a sweet spot for a pair of good tac pants.

I’ve got a real old pair of 5.11 pants they’re a bit worn but still good I like them.
I wear 5.11 pants when I’m off work out and about.
Duluth Firehose flex when I work.
Kuiu for hunting.
Excellent video, thank you.
Perfect break down of each pant.
511 coyote for me great for high kicks, now I go through the jungle with them but they have held up nice
The Flannel bro! Do a review on that flannel shirt you're wearing! Nice
I've moved on to Fjallraven pants. They're expensive, but the longevity they provide is well worth the money.
I love my 5.11s they hold great for construction! But for shooting I prefer arktis!
UF Pro pants. Absolute best ever. Expensive, but better than all the competition.

Those Crye Precision pants look very well made. Definitely will look into those.
I use harkila some the best I've ever bought on the high-end price side but best I've used
Thanks for your reviews 👍

Helpful comparisons. I wonder, are the elasticized portions on the Crye pants weatherproof or present issues in wet environments?
None of the traousers in the review offer any protection from water.
