Hi Izzy, when you're cutting or creating any dust, please wear a mask. I thought I was invincible, but now suffering like hell. Recently been diagnosed with copd. My breathing is awful. Take care
I have seen this in patients who cut stone/brick and even in people who dump building waste. What is the life expectancy of a person with silicosis? The survival times of silicosis stage I , II and III, from the year of diagnosis to death, were 21.5, 15.8 and 6.8 years, respectively. There was 25 % of the silicosis patients whose survival time was beyond 33 y. The mean death age of all silicosis cases was 56.0 y
Yup,I thought I was invincible up until I hit 50,worked 7 days in any weather. Great work by the way, always best to get everything Bob on out the ground,it makes all that follows a piece of piss!
I'm 71 years old and have completed major renovations both in the UK and in France. My dad was a builder and his dad was a builder. They used the line method all those years ago, (except is was feet and inches of course) so it is so good to see such a "young" builder using tried and trusted methods and producing high quality work. Well done "Izzy".
If you've nothing positive to say then keep you derogatory and useless comments to yourself. The world would be a much better place without people with your attitude.
I know absolutely nothing about bricklaying, but have been screwed over by cowboy work- this guy is refreshing. Awesome to see young blokes with such knowledge, skill and attentive attitude. Cracking stuff
I'm a retired Spark and I've worked alongside the other trades for over 40 years. Seriously mate, that was some quality work that you did. You turned a mess into a quality job. Well done.
My brother is a bricklayer for over 30 years experience and I must say these guys are my favourite there just like my brother was at their age trustworthy and genuine guy’s doing what they do best if you want a job doing do your research and check there work history a lot of my brothers work was always available to his clients to go and view that’s why a bricklayer is a skilled trade not a one off job well done guys keep up the good work 👍👍
I did an octagon shaped deck recovery like this. My neighbor called me and asked if I’d take a look. 6 inches out of level on the piers over 6 foot. Cant believe people have the brass the call themselves tradesmen and charge people for crap like this. I’m a carpenter and can lay brick and block better than this and I can’t lay bricks. Lol. Good for you Izzy. Put a smile back on the clients face.
Good work Izzy and co. As an Electrician myself i appreciate good tradesmen often we end up redoing work from scratch. I will say here on the South coast we've met a lot of bad builders along the way. nice to see someone who actually cares and does the basics so well.
I've been in construction for 30 years and as No.1 completed all manner of projects from huge to small. Nice to once again see proper brickwork done right, as it had mostly gone to 💩. Keep it up as fantastic to see. 👍
I love how precise you are when it comes to taking measurements of everything. It shows the quality and perfection you need to be very good and skilled in your profession. I salute you.. 👍🙏
More and more coming as big sites slow down, brick bashers who’ve only run down a line for 2 years since picking up a trowel, don’t have a clue how to “build”
A bricklayer with amazing skills for such a young age. He knows exactly what he's talking about and exactly how to do it. This young man has got a fantastic career ahead of him. I guarantee he is already much in demand. Top tradesman!
Pride in his work, nice to see. Young man with great skills. Im mid 50s with a fairly crap life now through poor health and admire the younger generation who get a proper career while they are fit and able.
The skill and precision that's gone into that is just superb. Just doing these videos gives ordinary folks like me some insight to how it should be done so that we don't end up being ripped off.
I only build off concrete foundations that I've put in. I reached the age and lack of patience level where I stopped doing work on other peoples pissed foundations.
I’m not a bricklayer or even a tradesman but I could see that the previous was done by a total cowboy. Great to see though you and your colleague doing precision work to ensure a high quality build. Look forward to seeing future videos to see how you finish this off.
Respect mate taking on a job someone else made a cock up of and sorting it out hope the punter appreciates it!! too many chancers out there passing Themselves off as tradespeople. Keep banging out quality workmanship
Seeing as all measures are out on the block and brickwork why have you assumed the footings are sound to build off? Did you check it with core samples to check depth, width and quality of concrete. You may be building a nice extension on porridge which you are liable for.
Grew up surrounded by masons, plumbers, electricians, engineers.. never had to outsource anything in the family or even for friends. Helped out wherever I could but never actually went into the trades. Biggest regret of my life, especially regarding masonry. Turning 32 in 2 days and the older I get the bigger the regret becomes. Awesome seeing stuff like this, brings back soooo many memories. Subbed
Given how bad that original brickwork was and the fact the footing runs out so much, how are you confident that the footings is the right depth, might only be 1ft deep, also, should building regs be involved and check work as its being done ?
Great question, luckily the foundations were dug by some proper groundworkers and passed off ready for the pour All the best mate thanks for the support
@IzzytheBricky I'm struggling with the after effects of a cowboy builder in my home, so great to see a young Tradesman providing honest, quality work. If I could make one comment - when cutting brick, wear a FFP3 mask. I've seen too many workmates suffer from Silicosis.
You just have to watch this lad , he is a true craftsman , dedicated to his job , any customer having work done by him can rest assured it will be top notch , we just need more like him , person who started this job were never builders , and should be named and shamed to stop them leaving customers with a mess like this , and probably an expensive one at that

Nothing worse than picking up and rectifying someone else's bodge! Good on yer, not all tradesmen will take them on and now you can see why we all get labelled as cowboys! Cracking restoration of groundworks mate!

Total transformation!
It never ceases to amaze me what some people produce and expect to be paid for, I would die of embarressment if I had done that.
Sadly, as long as there are fools willing to part with their money, criminals will be there to take it.
Same mate
They are not bricklayers they are chancers . They have always been around.
I've barely laid more than 5 bricks in 50 years of my life but reckon I could do better than that effort. 😂
It's down to lack of control over training and qualifications.
There's no controls and nobody to police them in the UK.
Izzy, the transformation was amazing! No wonder the client was pleased. Great work guys, again showing the various skills in bricklaying! 👍
Thanks so much Alan

Says ‘Bricklayers’ in the title I think he knows 😂😂
Could they be foreigners
Depends how they laid the brick.. By the look of it he squeezed it out of his arse like a chicken lays an egg..
