We were not angry about you wanting to get rid of the hutch. It was when the girl said that her grandfather built it for her and you responded very condesendingly "Uhh... But why..." and "we cant just throw it in the trash.." A better response could have been "It was very nice of him to try to help you, but the rabbit will be happier without the hutch, so thats why we should get rid of it"
Jesus people are too sensitive. If you watch Lorelei you should know hutches are absolutely horrible. I don’t care who built it. We need to destroy the image of rabbits being in cages.

The only problem I can see with Loreleis tone and choice of words is that young girls and boys who watch her videos might get scared of reaching out for help, because its stressfull to be in a video with someone who is very respected in the pet community and have them critique their care for their bunnies. But I saw in this video that she gave the same message in a much more educational way and that will give more kids and parents the curage to seek help IMO. I respect Lorelei and I have spread her word among my friends and family. She inspired me to get a bunny that lived in a very small hutch (covered in fieces) and after 10 days in my care (followed Loreleis instructions) he is both housebroken and freeroaming. I posted videos of him since day one and have because of that inspired others to follow the same way. So to recap, because of Loreleis educational way of teaching I have a freeroaming bunny who lived in a hutch, my friend got rid of her hutch and build a large playpen instead, another of my friends took her rabbit indoors from a hutch outside and now freeroams him in a spare guestroom. So she makes a huge difference!

@@alyssascarlet6428 I think its important to get the message across in the most kind and educational way you possible can when talking to children, its another story if its an adult who owns the rabbit IMO. I see alot of comments comparing Lorelei to Gordon Ramsay, but if you watch Masterchef junior you will see that Gordon has a completly different demeanour around children and never speaks to them in a angry or condesending way even if he critiques them

My bunny is free range, but he has chewed every wire an my oxygen tubing this is getting very expensive, I tried the no chew tape still chewed, Reid bitter spray still chewed,, I am loosin g this battle I even used electrical tape still chewed wires most thaws go to tv or medical equipment, please help my email anybody chenaultdarla 157@gmail.com

Crispy Chicken me too my rabbit has only “lunged” at me twice (he didn’t try to bite me though) but it was completely my fault because I scared him so bad because I was too excited to see him 😂 he’s so sweet though and he’s never tried biting me, he’s my little baby.

I love how much this girl cares for her bunny. I've personally rescued 2 bunnies both of which were very aggressive due to their living space. Once I got them into my care in a proper setup, it was almost an immediate change. Hopefully everyone realizes through this video that a good setup can make a world of difference.
I had a similar experience. I took a rabbit from my dad's coworker, they just didnt want her anymore and were giving her away after 5 years. When I got there they warned me not to get her out of the pet taxi to hold her on the way home because she was so mean. They said it took three people and two hours just to catch her. I guess they had her in a large enclosure outside or something. But I opened the door and coaxed her out and she was never once aggressive with me. She ended up being the most calm and loving bunny I've ever met. The people couldn't believe how she wasnt mean with me. And I dont think they treated her badly or anything, it just shows how big of a difference it makes when you know how to bond with and approach rabbits.
I had a cage a aggressive rabbit and after 8 years I finally convinced my parents to get him a buddy and literally the first day they met they were bonded and his behavior changed almost overnight, he’s now 11 btw and a complete sweetheart

I will get my Bunny this Sunday. Hes a rescued bunny and right now at the Vet. I am so glad i could save him and have him by me. He will be a free roaming bunny. He can go in every room at everytime. I love your videos so so much, they helped me to buy everything important for the Bunny.

This makes me so sad and depressed. I had to rehome my 2 bunnies because I was going through so much last year and ended up going homeless and I held on to them even when I was living in my car and I literally cried every day before I made the choice to take both to a rescue in Paramount, CA where I originally adopted them from. I visited them up until they both got adopted. I made it very clear that I want both to go together because they had lived 4 years together and I couldn’t imagine them not being with each other. My heart physically still hurts thinking about my babies. It was a tough choice. I know I made the right choice because the current owner updated me a month later after adopting them and it was the best choice I had made for them. They got an entire bedroom to themselves and she even leash trained them to go on walks. One day I hope to own an other rabbit.

I'm so sorry I used to have bunnies two of them and they kept having babies and the babies never survived cause the momma and dad bunnies wouldn't take care of them and i had to give them away not knowing if they would be together and it was heartbreaking

After watching that clip I didn't want to touch any of my rabbits or and of my 10 guinea pigs so instead I just went and watched my fish plus who else flinched while seeing that scene
this makes me so happy. i got my rabbit from a pet store because i felt so bad for how they were treating her there. she wasn’t receiving the type of space and food she needed. she was also just so sad and scared of everything around her. now she’s the happiest rabbit you’ll ever see. i’m happy to have saved her

Just with the cage transformation the temperament of the little bunny changed completely!!! Love this
I love how you can really pinpoint the change as soon as she's out of the cage. No aggression, no lunging, just hopping around and even sitting right next to people letting them pet her. It was the same with my bun bun, he was extremely anxious at the shelter and as soon as he was freeroaming my apartment his personality started blooming. Cages. are. the. problem.
luminousghosts yes! It’s their “safe place”. Especially a cage as small as this.. don’t care how many levels, should be wide open floor space. Hidey houses and toys. Tons and tons of hay. At first she had the tiniest pile of hay in the litter box, and with no litter in there it was all probably covered in pee and poo.

I and my partner just adopted a less than 1 year old rabbit, Luna. Her previous owners had apparently said she was ‘too unlikeable’ and wouldn’t be handled, and was aggressive. This made us a little nervous, as it would, but we went ahead with it and set up a large play pen for her in our living room, with a hooded cat litter box, plenty of hay, another hidey-house, water bowl, fresh food, toys suitable for her (she loves a digging box with hay and small treats hidden inside!). She is still settling in but she seems so content and relaxed. We let her out to explore the room supervised as she isn’t spayed yet and we haven’t fully bunny-proofed the house, so she is still marking her territory, but the hope is to have her mostly free roam. I have no idea what her previous living conditions were, but based on the apparent aggression, she was probably kept in a small cage or in a small hutch outdoors. I’m saying this as an inexperienced rabbit owner, we’ve never had a rabbit or even any other small mammal before, but we have learned so much from you so we really set off on the best foot when we brought Luna home to give her a better life. Thank you!

Honestly I would have kept the wooden part of the cage. Climbing is great exercise for buns, plus she clearly found it to be a suitable chew toy lol, and it's good for them to have like a home base, where all their dishes and food are contained.
I agree. I mean the wood could’ve been turned into chew toys. I buy wood to turn into toys for my bun.

This was an AMAZING episode! I can relate to that message at the end. My bun, when I first got her, she was an angry little thing. That was 4 years ago. Now she’s a happy and fearless free range bun. I'm a first time bunny owner here from Philippines, and thank God I didn't put them in cage and just let them live along with me inside the house and just let them play around, I learned a lot to your videos.
As someone who’s raised and bred rabbits I’ve seen rabbits with all kinds of personalities and I find giving them lots of love and care helps ease that agression

@@hi-bu3lb Not necessarily, I spent many months trying to find a rescue or shelter bunny. Don't be so quick to judge breeders, they're literally supplying all these people with the pets they claim to love (like yourself)

Thanks for donating the grids! As a guinea pig mom, it pains me to see those awesome grids going to waste. They are so hard to find in store for some reason, so seeing some go to the animal shelter really makes me smile. I use the grids so my pigs can have a large cage, as well as block off the bottom of my bed for when they free roam. You are so amazing!

I had an aggressive rabbit when I was younger. I got it from my classmate, she and her brothers would bully the rabbit a lot so as an result of that she was very anxious of people and would bite to defend herself. I did put in a lot of effort to warm her up, but she did still bite everyone else. It was so dramatic when I wasn’t home, which was lucky not much. I felt so bad for her 🥲 she died early of all the stress she went trough, but had a fantastic life with me. She’s she reason I adopted 2 rabbits last week, they are 8 weeks old 🥰

When i adopted my bunny my husband wanted to divorce me.because let's be honest,when you got a rabbit is not so clean anymore:hay,poop,hair everywhere.after, he tried to convince me to put him at least in a cage.i said NEVER! Now, 1 year later, my husband loves him even more then me.and our rabbit runs everywhere he wants.well,he eated our sofa and i have to buy another one...but he is our baby ❤❤❤ so i think this rabbit is not agressive, he is just unhappy being in a cage!

My fiance got to know me, when my first bunny was with me for 1 week. I said from day 1: "I have a free roaming bunny since 1 week and I love him so much." At first he was a bit "eww", because his family had bunnies for eating since he was a child. After a few dates, he recognized, that he likes me and he wanted to try and get to know my baby boy. And it was like love on first sight. They two bonded like immediately.... And my Baby boy was like a bond for me and my fiance to. This year in January he asked me to marry him. In March this year my baby passed away at the age of 15 years. I'm still so sad about that, I start crying while writing this. But even if I was so sad, I knew, there are bunnies out there, that need a good home and so I got a 11 years old couple from a shelter a month ago. The Male is handcaped (blind and deaf) but that does not bother him. I am so in love with them.... Even if they are not that much in love with me by now, because they were treated not that good in their past life. And guess what? My fiance sits on the floor all the time to bond with the bunnies 😂😂 he's even as much a crazy bunny lady as I am 🤣
Oh my gawsh! This has to be one of my favourite episodes! Brooke seemed so star struck! lol But, seriously, good on her for wanting constructive criticism and to do the best she could by accepting help from you! Absolutely, amazing! @@negan1445 Seemed like an indoor/outdoor cat like many people do with their cats (personally when I had a cat before I was severely allergic mine were 100% indoor cats).
