I appreciate all the things you teached me about rabbits. I live in Serbia and not a lot of people free roam their rabbits. My best firend has a rabbit too but she was in small cage until i explained her why she should give her more space, and now her rabbit is free roam too! Sorry for bad English🤣
I live in Serbia too and I hate how people here are so used to these stereotypes like rabbits are only supposed to eat carrots and live in small cages.... it's also nearly impossible to find toys for rabbits because all pet stores are focused on cats and dogs

After seeing the London episode I was like "now you know our struggle!" Pets at Home is like the only big pet store here and I've returned soooo many toys that said "safe for rabbits" that had corn husk in them for example, and loads of the GNAW toys say "remove if damaged" to cover their backs and the wood toys don't always say which wood so you can't see if they are even rabbit safe or not. And their website says about hutches which ofc they sell, yet in *some* sections they say it should be big but don't specify the size or that their hutches are not ok. It was sooo amazing to see Apollo so happy though xD
Pets at home is awful. I don't like it at all. We definitely need more pet shops in the UK, most places with a pet section barely have bunny stuff, wilko only sells stuff that bunnies shouldn't have like the bottles and tiny litter trays x

The second bunny we fostered sometimes tried to be “the bun of the house” but he lacked the ability to be aggressive so his thumps were hard hops and one time he grunted it sounded like a meow

I love that people are saying they want a rabbit, I came here cuz my sister got a rabbit 2 years ago and she didnt care for it (she was 4) so I stepped in ( by watching lenons videos and me made alot of mistakes) sadly that rabbit died due to not being able to get a vet on time. But I got 2 rescue rabbits and they love me and I love them. What I'm trying to say is that you guys are wanting rabbit cuz you watch her videos. I'm not saying theres it's a problem but you should really consider the circumstances of having a rabbit. I have 3 rabbits now along with 5 dogs (none of these dogs I have ownership for just the rabbits) and as someone who is thinking about college I worry about were I'm going to take my rabbits. I dont go on vacations or long road trips cuz my family members dont know anything about rabbits, so I stay home. Just think about it, also thanks for the videos on taking care of rabbits it really helped me.
I think you should do a few makeovers with families with children. I know you say to be weary of toddlers but I bet there are a lot of families doing it anyway and you could provide some good insight on how to keep your bunny safe. It's another audience niche you could be tapping into.
This show would be perfect for TV! You should secure all the copyrights to it and then pitch it for production companies that has worked on this kind of shows before. It would be succesfull with you in the lead, you are so well spoken, passionate/genuine and educated about this that you would be the perfect host. If my English seems a bit off, because I’m not using appropriate words since my native language is German, I apologize in advance and hope you will understand me regardless Can my rabbit live alone? -Are you there for your rabbit 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, until it dies? - Will you brush his ears and lick his eyes? - Are you bobbing around with him and exploring the surroundings? - Are you lying about seven hours a day with body contact together with your rabbit? - Can you speak the rabbit language and talk to your rabbit in everyday life? - Do you keep watch when your rabbit sleeps and knocks when a potential enemy approaches, so that your rabbit can really relax while sleeping because it knows you're watching? - ...etc ! If you can't answer these questions with yes, your rabbit needs another rabbit as a partner ! Think about ist: Even if you spend four hours a day working intensively with your rabbit, it's still 20 hours a day alone and lonely. That's 600 lonely hours a month and 57,600 in a whole rabbit's life. Also good care and a lot of enrichment can unfortunately not replace another rabbit. Therefore, get a second rabbit to give your rabbit a happy life. Fortunately, in Austria and Switzerland the keeping of rabbits is already banned, in Germany a new legal regulation is being sought. What scientific studies tell us about individual housing/keeping: Rabbits living alone move less than rabbits in the group. In addition, they eat out of boredom, so that obesity can occur more quickly. Extreme grating (and other behavioural abnormalities) was observed in the individual rabbits in one study, but was not found when observing pairs of rabbits. Despite various retreat possibilities, the rabbits preferred to lie down next to their partner. Are there incompatible rabbits? So my conclusion so far is: Every rabbit can find a partner! If you still think you have an incompatible rabbit with you, you can contact a breeder or an animal shelter to get help, they can provide you with many differently aged and mannered rabbits. Rabbit owners often break off the socialization prematurely because there are fights. Fighting and fur flight, however, is part of any combination, otherwise rabbits cannot clarify their ranking. I'm from Austria and it's even illegal to only keep one bunny here :) I study vetmedicine in Germany and all our profs say the same thing: bunnies are social animals and need to be kept in pairs. p w FINALLY, someone with logic and a mind! I have actually come across this Austrian law while doing my research and I thought this is amazing and so progressive! It’s not illegal in Germany YET (hopefully), but most shelters and breeders don’t let you adopt a solitaire rabbit. In the UK, the RSPCA actually tries to advocate for housing rabbits in pairs, but the US, even official organization and governmental organizations state, that solitaire husbandry is acceptable, without any explanation! It’s really frustrating to see all these comments and Lorelei herself not understanding why they need to change their view on this topic. I really like watching these „rabbit youtubers“ and I mostly watch those, who have 2 rabbits and say, that you need at least 2, but the comments.... I have tried the informative and rational approach, I have tried the emotional approach, I have even tried to be provocative, but unfortunately nothing has worked. Most responses are either: „Too long, I’m not reading that“ „My rabbit is happy, I spend all day at home“ „ Bonding is too dangerous, my rabbit doesn’t like others“ „my rabbit has my dog/cat to play with“ „I don’t have money“ etc, really dumb and uneducated mental Dünnschiss. Sadly, these US-American TH-camrs are the most watched and subscribed, so young children will just follow their example thinking they have learned enough from a few videos, most youtubers don’t emphasize doing your research and that science is always improving and changing to come closer to the „truth“. Well, it’s probably too complicated form them or unnecessary...

I love that people are saying they want a rabbit, I came here cuz my sister got a rabbit 2 years ago and she didnt care for it (she was 4) so I stepped in ( by watching lenons videos and me made alot of mistakes) sadly that rabbit died due to not being able to get a vet on time. But I got 2 rescue rabbits and they love me and I love them. What I'm trying to say is that you guys are wanting rabbit cuz you watch her videos. I'm not saying theres it's a problem but you should really consider the circumstances of having a rabbit. I have 3 rabbits now along with 5 dogs (none of these dogs I have ownership for just the rabbits) and as someone who is thinking about college I worry about were I'm going to take my rabbits. I dont go on vacations or long road trips cuz my family members dont know anything about rabbits, so I stay home. Just think about it, also thanks for the videos on taking care of rabbits it really helped me.

I think you should do a few makeovers with families with children. I know you say to be weary of toddlers but I bet there are a lot of families doing it anyway and you could provide some good insight on how to keep your bunny safe. It's another audience niche you could be tapping into.
This show would be perfect for TV! You should secure all the copyrights to it and then pitch it for production companies that has worked on this kind of shows before. It would be succesfull with you in the lead, you are so well spoken, passionate/genuine and educated about this that you would be the perfect host. Would be an important step in educating the public and you are an important voice for rabbits rights ❤ Go for it!🐇❤ Cheering and suporting🐇❤

Can my rabbit live alone?
-Are you there for your rabbit 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, until it dies?
- Will you brush his ears and lick his eyes?
- Are you bobbing around with him and exploring the surroundings?
- Are you lying about seven hours a day with body contact together with your rabbit?
- Can you speak the rabbit language and talk to your rabbit in everyday life?
- Do you keep watch when your rabbit sleeps and knocks when a potential enemy approaches, so that your rabbit can really relax while sleeping because it knows you're watching?
- ...etc
! If you can't answer these questions with yes, your rabbit needs another rabbit as a partner !
Think about ist:
Even if you spend four hours a day working intensively with your rabbit, it's still 20 hours a day alone and lonely. That's 600 lonely hours a month and 57,600 in a whole rabbit's life. Also good care and a lot of enrichment can unfortunately not replace another rabbit. Therefore, get a second rabbit to give your rabbit a happy life. Fortunately, in Austria and Switzerland the keeping of rabbits is already banned, in Germany a new legal regulation is being sought.
What scientific studies tell us about individual housing/keeping:
Rabbits living alone move less than rabbits in the group. In addition, they eat out of boredom, so that obesity can occur more quickly. Extreme grating (and other behavioural abnormalities) was observed in the individual rabbits in one study, but was not found when observing pairs of rabbits. Despite various retreat possibilities, the rabbits preferred to lie down next to their partner.
Are there incompatible rabbits?
So my conclusion so far is: Every rabbit can find a partner! If you still think you have an incompatible rabbit with you, you can contact a breeder or an animal shelter to get help, they can provide you with many differently aged and mannered rabbits. Rabbit owners often break off the socialization prematurely because there are fights. Fighting and fur flight, however, is part of any combination, otherwise rabbits cannot clarify their ranking. Besides, not every rabbit gets along with everyone else. Sometimes you have to try two or three different rabbits. Most of the time, however, it works right off the bat. Other reasons for unsuccessful socialization may be wrong combinations or inappropriate husbandry/care/keeping or an inappropriate place for socialisation.
In Germany keeping two rabbits is enforced by breeders, shelters and pet shops alike. Here is a quote, translated to English, by „Bundesverband praktizierender Tierärzte e.V“ which is a Federal Association of Practicing Veterinarians:
Probably the most common problem in pet husbandry is monotony and associated boredom. Behavioural disorders are often the result. Rabbit-friendly husbandry should therefore - like any other animal husbandry - provide variety and environmental incentives. The contact to conspecifics is essential for the rabbit, which naturally lives in clans. The share of social behaviour in total behaviour amounts to up to 50% of total daily activity. For pet husbandry, two or more rabbits of the same age, which in the best case are used freshly weaned from the mother as a group, are ideal

I'm from Austria and it's even illegal to only keep one bunny here :) I study vetmedicine in Germany and all our profs say the same thing: bunnies are social animals and need to be kept in pairs. I don't know why lots of Americans don't seem to grasp what 'social animal' means 🤨

p w FINALLY, someone with logic and a mind! I have actually come across this Austrian law while doing my research and I thought this is amazing and so progressive! It’s not illegal in Germany YET (hopefully), but most shelters and breeders don’t let you adopt a solitaire rabbit. In the UK, the RSPCA actually tries to advocate for housing rabbits in pairs, but the US, even official organization and governmental organizations state, that solitaire husbandry is acceptable, without any explanation! It’s really frustrating to see all these comments and Lorelei herself not understanding why they need to change their view on this topic. I really like watching these „rabbit youtubers“ and I mostly watch those, who have 2 rabbits and say, that you need at least 2, but the comments.... I have tried the informative and rational approach, I have tried the emotional approach, I have even tried to be provocative, but unfortunately nothing has worked. Most responses are either: „Too long, I’m not reading that“ „My rabbit is happy, I spend all day at home“ „ Bonding is too dangerous, my rabbit doesn’t like others“ „my rabbit has my dog/cat to play with“ „I don’t have money“ etc, really dumb and uneducated mental Dünnschiss. Sadly, these US-American TH-camrs are the most watched and subscribed, so young children will just follow their example thinking they have learned enough from a few videos, most youtubers don’t emphasize doing your research and that science is always improving and changing to come closer to the „truth“.
