@misskmd26 Conventionally speaking the investment faction of AM encompasses portfolio managers/analysts and researchers, whereas, product mainly pertains to the development/curation of funds. I understand this can slightly change due to some factors such as the company, and as you highlighted, product type but I think merging the two is misleading. Also, pretty much all AMs (buy side or sell side) separate the product team from the investments team and rightly so.
