Boxwood is my favorite plant. I lost many to the blight, but I've waited 5 yrs. and now
I'm planting more. They can't be beat. The music is so pleasant. A pleasure to watch.
Awww that’s so lovely of you to say Ann and so glad you enjoyed 🤠 good luck with your new boxwoods 🤞my favourites too 🌳🌳 all the best 🌱 Chip
Love how relaxing it is to watch your videos!
Awww that is so lovely to hear 🤠 thank you so much 🌱 Chip
Hi, I love box too, but I have said that I will not plant anymore, as when I am in southern England we have box caterpillars. These little beasts can strip a plant in next to no time 😢😢😢
no box blight so far up here. sad to here you have those pesky caterpillars
Looks great I am about to do two parterre gardens at the front of my house and have decided after watching, that I will do a small hedge all around them, with a bigger boxwood in each corner as a feature. I have a hedge all around the space as well, like you I love my hedges and topiary’s 🪴🌳
topiary is great, especially as a small hedge
Pretty little box hedge .
I'm so impressed at how much you are planning for your front garden . It shows that a small space is no barrier to a beautiful and interesting garden. And lovely for the neighbourhood as well. 😊
Thank you Bertie that’s so kind of you to say, many thanks and have yourself a wonderful day 🌱 Chip
Hi berties
Yes the boxwood is definitely adding to the neighbourhood 🌳🌳🌳🌳
Love your video's, so glad I found you! Most of my little courtyard garden is boxwood hedging and topiary.....like you, I was lucky and didn't get boxwood blight, it must have been devastating for gardeners to see their beautiful boxwood wiped out! Have a great gardening week, looking forward to seeing the pond plans take shape! x
We are so fortunate not to have blight, boxwood works well in courtyards. Have a great week. Gypsy boy and chip 😀😀😀👍👍🌳🌳🌳🌳
That hedge looks great already. Curios as to know why your partner is called gypsy boy 😂
Hi
It's my nickname based on my gypsy ancestry 😀😀😀

Love buxus, but my area the caterpillars are decimating them . Treatment is too expensive so I stopped planting them . Using Japanese Holly as alternative
Hi Cad , sorry to hear that but Japanese Holly is a great alternative 🤠 good luck with it all and have a wonderful Sunday , all the best 🌱 Chip
Another enjoyable episode Chip.
Thank you Magnus that’s very kind of you 🤠 cheers and have a wonderful weekend 🌱 Chip
Hi there the garden is looking beautiful needing very little maintenance but as you intend travelling, who will look after the pondsss whilst you’re away?
Hi Angela thank you for your message, yes I am going to be away for some time so the ponds will have to look after them selfs but I think you will see once you see the ponds that this shouldn’t be a problem for at least six months , fingers crossed 🤞 have a great weekend and all the best 🌱 Chip
Very neat effect and a nice relaxing video too ... nice one Chip

I am glad you still plant box. Have you heard of "better boxwood"? it's new and blight resistant. We don't have these new variety yet in Utah but thankfully we don't have blight either. I bought 4 new ones this week that I am shaping into balls.
Hello. Love your style. I live in Canada. We now have box tree moth. Can I ask h
ow do you protect your boxwood?
Hi We don't need to protect the boxwood as luckily no box blight in Yorkshire thankfully 🌳🌳🌳🌳
Hi
We don't need to protect them as thankfully no boxwood in Yorkshire 🌳🌳🌳🌳
Lovely little hedge! Can't wait to see you new ponds!
Thank you Maria 🤠 I’ve just finished the ponds so should be out next Sunday if the editing goes well 🎬 have a wonderful Sunday 🌱 Chip
Yesssss so relaxing. Just love boxwoods!
me too, boxwoods are great
Thank you PJ 🤠 all the very best my friend 🌱 Chip
Instant gratification! Is there a reason why you planted them right on the edge and also why do you not break up the root ball. Is this to keep them as small as possible?
Hi
It's to help define the garden have a lovely week 😊😊🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳
Hi GardenDoodles the rootball on these buxus are not really compacted so I don’t think it’s necessary to brake them up & as I don’t what them to grow any wider than they are it’s good to have them on the edge as gipsy boy says it defines the garden border and looks so much nicer, if I was to let them grow a little wider I would have planted them in a couple of inches more
Hope that helps 🤠 have yourself a magical day 🌱 Chip
Love the ponds fabulous idea x
