My yard was mostly a bare slate when the roofers started, thankfully the tree guys were so much more careful as they removed a giant water oak from the side of my house, it was 5 ft diameter and 2 ft from my bedroom window AND they left me all of the mulch so I could start raising my yard up from the constant flooding...my entire yard is mulched now, front and back, I have no grass to mow and my fruit trees are no longer drowning, the bamboo is loving me...your yard is so cozy and a great inspiration...I'm just happy to be retired to a warm clime now, no more snow shoveling, just gardening all year long...!!!

Hello Chip! So excited about your upcoming plans and projects for the garden and deck. I can't believe you two have decided to get a boat. What a wonderful idea. I have always wanted to do that. My husband and myself are in our mid 50's and I keep telling him we must do some traveling sooner than later. btw.. I would have been very angry myself if someone crushed any of my plants and flowers.

We put soda bottles or drink cans in the bottom.of large pots to promote drainage, require less potting soil, and make big pots easier to move as they weight a bit less. :). Love your channel. Happy easter!!
Hi Catherine 🤠 thank you for your message and great idea but with the high winds we get here it’s a good thing to have the pots heavy that way I don’t lose so many in the Yorkshire weather .. lol 😂 even if they are a pain to move around , have a lovely one 🌱 Chip
That’s clever. I use polystyrene but it’s getting harder to get - which I suppose is good
