    Pansin ko lang karamihan sa mga Millenials may pagkafeeling superior. Lalong lalo na sa childhood experience, music at street games.

      as a Gen Z, problema satin is we run our mouths. I can definitely say that Gen Z is fighting off the feeling of "shallowness" our generation has had problems with shallow friendships, shallow relationships, and even shallow beliefs, such as mob mentality on Social media.
      While I appreciate someone standing up and fighting, karamihan satin bandwagon lang, and would run their mouths without actually knowing the big picture. There should be freedom of speech, but at the same time we should know our limits, because we dont know the whole story yet we conclude and point fingers, not to mention andami pang iyakin na generation natin.
      Simply put, they need to learn when the right time to speak is, and they need to thicken their skin because the world isn't apologetic. Should things be changed? Absolutely, but with the way our generation is fighting for things it will be very slow kasi nauuna pa emosyon kesa logic.

    I don’t know but someone born in one of these cohorts (ahem the older one) I still think that both of these generations find more common ground than divide. As a millennial, I see some parts of me that is Gen Z and some as a millennial. I think there should be a conversation about nuances with upbringing and environment. But I did like the conversation as what the millennial said “We see ourselves in you.”

      Agreed. I am a millenial and my younger sibling is a Gen Z. Our conversations are more open and mature compared to the conversations I had with the older generations. When we were younger, we were expected to shut up.
      In almost all aspects of life, the millenials and Gen Zs share a common opinion (e.g. on LGBTQ rights, VAWC, mental health, divorce). And I admire that both generations work towards a better community while being sane at the same time. Both have learned to recognize authority but not consider it as absolute.

    • @dawnguinto
      @dawnguinto 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Hmm it comes mostly from the perspective that gen z are very contrarian and anti-establishment whilst most millennials are tired yuppies.
      Most gen z have grown up with someone who’s millennial. They know how nihilistic and antagonistic millennials have been about previous generations and systems that made the world so broken today.
      It is disappointing to see your idols or people whose values you look up to just grow into adulthood and get jobs and complain about work but not do anything.
      Oh the other hand millennials are beginning to understand the gravity of the personal responsibilities one has as an adult. One can’t simply recklessly abandon the system of oppression that is imposed upon us in this capitalistic society. As we grow older we have more and more bills to pay.
      Rent. Food. Electricity. Water. Basic human necessities are commodified and sold. And we can’t not work because the only way to attain our needs is through labor.
      That’s where the tension lies. Blind optimism of the younger generation and the crushing weight of responsibilities as an adult for the older generation.

      @@ullenjl6702 member when boomers said the same thing to millenials and blamed millenials for everything wrong with the economy. Your comment is giving very that energy.
      We can't keep blaming the newer generation for everything we deem wrong in society. This cycle has been around since the beginning of civilization, it can even be traced back to roman times. It is not factual, nor based in any sort of reality, it is based only on our disdain for younger generations and our collective fear of growing older.
      It's pathetic for adults to blame people who are coming of age for systems that's already in place way before they were born. That's what's incompetent. That's what's weak.

It's so difficult to find local content which does address two opposite sides of certain issues as such in a very healthy and open conversation. There is a lot to learn from these videos. Seriously, very educational. Hindi yung tulfo agad. It is the "Pwede naman pala", na accepting each ones' own stand without attacking the person. I just hope for more local creators to make these. I love this! I'm 20 and I have two besties that are millennials (they're both 30) and what I love about our friendship is that whenever we would catch up and talk about our lives, it always feels like it's a learning experience for us. Of course I look up to them because they're like my ate and kuya, but they also make me feel like there are so many things they could learn from me as well. There's so much wisdom in our conversations and I treasure everything they teach me ❤️
    It's true when they say Millennials and Gen Zs have more of an alliance than a rival. I love interacting with their generation and I'm sure if more of them become more open in interacting with us, they would love our perspective too!

Aside from being a member of the generation they are belong, they could explain deeply as to why this generation behave in a certain way and explain it also in layman's terms so us, non-social science people can relate. Many of us Gen Zs have already graduated so I don't think it is impossible to find someone who understands the behavior of Gen Zs.

    I was born in 1998 and this year is part of the age bracket in labelling people as Gen Z. Kaso hindi ako partly Gen Z sa opinion ko because of the following reason l: I am very much aware that I am more Millenial than Zillenial when I don't fit in sa mga trends or nauuso on SocMed. There are Gen Zwords that are incomprehensible to me which I need further context to understand their (new) meaning at madalas itong ginagamit sa texting at Internet. Some trends in fashion and entertainment such as Tiktok (actually ang unang tiktok na nadatnan ko is Vines app) ang patok sa Gen Z that I don't subscribe to. It's by choice tbh pero I find myself trapped in both worlds kasi partly I am still Gen Z because I grew up in the digital age, literal! And our generation has witnessed the most advanced technologies from smartphones to VRs and online shopping, etc. Siguro 'di man ako full-pledged Gen Z like majority of teenagers here, I am glad that this discussion is raised and talked about. Timely ito for both generations because maraming commonalities ang dalawa but it's the level of maturity and the mileu ang ang most probably pinagkaiba.

    i appreciate Zedders. more sensitive, open, and woke than I was at that age. wish i was as smart as they are at that age.
    the observations of the millennial here are just generic older people complaints about younger people. just the same shit his parents probably say about him.
    and the Zedder was absolutely right: why try so hard to prove yourself to be the best generation?
    totally agree that generational generalization is just plain dumb.

    For me, Gen Y and Gen Z are more similar. Gen Zs seem much more "woke" because the "wokes" in older generations are good at hiding it for their own safety.

    About the coffee talk, its weird bc im that person who have a coffee corner and is passionate about coffee and teas. That said, about "coffee persona" confused me bc, really? they really do that?
    I'm a millennial but almost genZ (im just a few years older than them so im kinda genZ i think? or not? but my personality mostly is millennial lol)
    I dont really judge genz's about the coffee thing bc they are essential to life tbh and i dont really care bout what people do around me but since a genz admitted about that... well thats a learning... (no hate, they could do their thing) haha
    anyways just saying, there's us, coffee people who genuinely likes coffee (millennial genz or any other generation) because honest to god, there are times when i really couldn't function without it. I need a daily dose of caffeine (doses in fact) or i wont be able to focus and do any work lol
    So yeah, hi coffee people~ (we need that extra shot 👀) 😊👋

    GENERATIONS:
    Baby Boomers are the worst generations, they hate younger people than, they see millenials as a threat, they always wanted to be respected and looked upon, they will always impose and rub the experiences they had.
    Millenials are the strongest, flexible, can survive anywhere, hungry for learning, very respectful, uses po and opo maam and sir many times. Most cool titos and titas are millenials. Most of them are bright and pure talented
    Gen Z are also worst, they are taught by social media, no manners, not respectful, they wont look at you in the eye, doesn’t even use maam and sir or po and opo, very techy and their life is social media. They always invent words and terms but mostly are not bright
    Gen Alpha - no more words

      Generation X: "Pare ko, meron akong problema." Kidding aside, as a Gen z, na-realize ko na parang mas genuine yung buhay no'ng panahon ng Gen x and Millenials, yung tipong most of them ay hindi naka-base sa social media or internet. Like mas may value yung pakiki-salamuha personally. Parang mas dama mo kung ano ang pakiramdam na maging tao. Like magkikita yung mga magkakaibigan tapos bibili ng chichirya and softdrinks or pwedeng alak then tambay sa bahay habang nakikinig sa stereo tapos kwentuhan ng mga kung ano-ano na wala kang makikitang nakatutok sa kanilang mga smart phones. Nag-gigitara sa balcony tapos yung isang kasama mong babae may hawak na song hits tapos magkaka-inlaban kayo. Diba parang mas genuine, nagkakaroon ng palagayan ng loob sa personal kesa sa virtual world. Parang teen oriented show lang noong 90s or early 2000s, ang genuine ng mga interactions.

      True Gen X and Millenials are the strongest generation 💪 dahil sakanila dyan nauso ang hightech na bagay bagay, masipag at maraming pinagdaanan sa buhay. Tong boomers kasi tumanda na wala paring asenso kaya bitter sating mga millenials 😂😂 yung Gen Z naman kunting pagsubok lang iyak na agad espacially who are born 2003 above

    As a millennial, the person you picked for this video does NOT speak for all of us - at all. Firstly, I don’t think being “woke” is a bad thing, AND it’s also not exclusive to a generation. Wokeness to me is trying to be a better human being by being more accepting and inclusive. Also, can we just say “woke” and NOT “pa-woke" - stop using troll language offline, lol. Second, I know not all Gen Zs are the same, just as not all millennials are the same.

    • @iamnickm101
      @iamnickm101 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      As the one picked to represent the millenials, I have a question for you.
      Did you even listen to the the conversation? i agree with you and that's exactly what i said. I also think that being woke is not a bad thing. And Also, it was labeled as "assumptions" not "what are the negative traits of gen Z's.
      please do not put it out of context.
      Thank you. :)

    • @misschelle23
      @misschelle23 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      As you said "YOU don't think" meaning it's only you and doesn't represent all the millennial as well. As a millennial myself, I agree with Nick. It's the prejudiced entangled with the generations. Other millenials also think being "pa-woke" is somehow negative. Nick's respectful enough to lay his argument.

    • @aydapadistudio
      @aydapadistudio 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@misschelle23 That's exactly what I said in my 2nd statement- not all Gen Zs are the same just as not all millennials are the same. It's generalist statements that cause prejudices, that's why I also had to voice out my opinion.

    • @aydapadistudio
      @aydapadistudio 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@iamnickm101 Thank you for responding. Don't get me wrong - it wasn't an attack on you; It was on the presentation that the millennial and the gen Z in this video represent these generations. If we are of the same view, then I am glad that we both try (operative word: try) to not be prejudiced and we both don't generalize a person purely based on which generation they belong to (cos upbringing, family dynamics, education, location, culture, etc. also shape a person).
