@@jaybrattHey! I just wanted to pop in and say that Razers new quest 3 interface is next level comfortable. I know it's $69.99 but to me it's worth it and also, it's dual layered so it covers the entirety of the black parts of the headset. It's glossy too so it changes the look and I am in love with how it looks now. The comfort though is crazy. Have you considered trying off ear headphones like VR ears? They make the sound more immersibe since you don't feel it on your ears and hear sound coming from the world around you
I was using the S3 with the AMVR interface. I had it set up exatcly like you had with the halo sitting on top. After watching this I literally decided to just trim it down to the top of the amvr logo. Fits much better now, lol. More airflow too
I feel conflicted about leaving a link here while we don't still know exactly what is happening with AMVR and all these other brand names selling the exact same interfaces EVEN WITH AMVR's LOGO ON IT... Enough of you recommended this interface to me and said you like it so the link is in the description if you decide you want it but I'd say it's ONLY FOR: Elite or Stock straps. DO NOT GET FOR BOBOVR S3 or M3 Head Straps!
I have the amrv facial interface with the m3 head strap. I definitely noticed the light bleed from the vents and sides. Nose piece blocked light really well though. I liked the feeling of the silk pad. Far from prefect but I haven’t found a facial interface that’s perfect yet
There's a dodgy practise called a "ghost shift" where a manufacturer keeps the production line going off the books and then sells the product and profits without telling the company that contracted them. Same design, same manufacturer, different people profiting. Some would call it stealing or unlicensed use of the original design. AMVR may be a victim here as opposed to a dropshipper (someone applying minimal branding and profiteering off a generic manufacturer).
I've got the AMVR, I like how it feels and it pairs fine with the elite strap but the light leaks from what I've experienced is from light coming into those top vents. I just got the M3 and can't get it and the AMVR to fit well together at all so I went back to the stock interface which leaves less face irritation with the M3 but I still got one of those silicon covers with the nose piece.
Yeah, ultimately the M3 and S3 not really being compatible kills it for me personally but I can see how a Kiwi Elite lover might like this interface. Still doesn't tell us why so many company names are selling these as if they're different but they all show up with AMVR logos on them
@@jmarynicz yeah I think I just replied to your other comment. People in the comments are telling me V2 has 3 top vents and and V1 had 2 vents... I'm seeing 2 vents on all of mine so I'm trying to find out exactly how to tell what's V2 to verify what mine are.
With the stock strap would you recommend the AMVR for the better forehead weight distribution or the Oblik for the better face fit? I travel a lot and if I want to take my quest 3 with me I don’t have the room for a full sized case. I figured the AMVR would be kind of a “ghetto bobo” to get some kind of forehead support with the stock strap, but maybe a better fit would distribute weight more evenly across more area?
Currently have the HiBloks Facial interface+Fan It has the same Ice silk pad as the others and feels great when the fan is on literally no sweat after serious workouts. I really needed it to get over the nausea of first using VR. Ordered an S3 which should arrive tomorrow after 14 days shipping xD can’t wait to have 2 fans one on my face and one on the top of my head!
Been using the AMVR on my Quest 3 for a couple of weeks. The Ice Silk pad is very nice, but the vents are better. The adjustments, though. Using the basic Quest 3 strap, the adjustments keep collapsing. Hopefully BoboVR will get my S3 to me this week and the halo style strap will alleviate the pressure that causes the adjustment to collapse.
Are you going to try the new Hiblock interface that has the attachable fan? I think it would be a pretty funny look to have the maximum cooling headset with the Hiblock and the bobo S3.
The AMVR Face Cover is almost exactly what I need. Please let us know if you ever find a cover compatible with the S3 Pro that doesn't allow any light leaks, includes holes for air circulation, and is comfortable with soft padding. I also don't need the glasses adjustment feature since I don't wear glasses. The KIWI Design Fitness Facial Interface for Quest 2 was the best, and I hope KIWI or another brand releases a similar cover for the Quest 3. I plan to purchase a Quest 3 only if such a cover becomes available, as comfort is of utmost importance to me.
By the way, I use the KIWI cover with the 'KIWI Design Comfort Battery Head Strap' on my Quest 2, which I love. So, unless it would continue to light leak, my other option would be to use the AMVR Face Cover with a different Battery Strap, but I really appreciate what S3 did with their exchangeable batteries. I feel like I'll need that due to the battery issues with the Quest 3.
Another S3 and AMVr user with 0 issues. It does take a bit of lining up as it is a very tight fit to get it right but once done it's excellent. My only complaint on the S3 set up is the overall weight
Any idea if the AMVR one is actually the v2, I wonder if they had a bunch of v1 models left and they got shipped off to other sellers, since one of the complaints of the v1 was like leakage through the vents.
@@jaybratt I could definitely see AMVR dumping a bunch of the less effective V1s to other sellers. It's unclear if the AMVR one on Amazon is actually the v1 or v2, afaik the only way to get a v2 is to order directly from AMVR since they specify specifically
So from my understanding it seems like if you have a stock or pro headstrap like the KIWI it's a great upgrade. So what facial interface would be better and why, would that interface cost twice as much?
I have the AMVR. It is the best thing I've found for Quest 3. But make no mistake, it sucks. It is just no one else is making anything good either. Where are all the manufacturers?
The stock one with a silicone cover is my go to until I find another non Oblik option. I ordered two more to test this week so I'll keep you posted... As long as those don't show up and also be AMVRs 😂
I have absolutely no problem with the AMVR and the M3 Pro and it's a great improvement over the original facial interface, which was absolutely awful for me. The thing about facial interfaces is that they're all dependent on your face shape. If you find the original comfortable, don't look for a replacement, just for the sake of modifying, but for me the original was horrible, while the AMVR was instant comfort.
Sad news I got a new update from them and they gave up on making one for quest 3. I had been waiting they told me January before that and it's September now so I followed up with them.
Ive been using Elite Head Straps since 2020, and the bobovr S3 Pro is my first bobo. I don’t have a facial interface on at all! And I have an Oblik custom interface arriving Friday. Why don’t you go facial interfaceless?
I've done the interfaceless approach too and I like how the Quest Pro did it but I'm still rocking an interface with the 3. I'm using it more for the full immersion and for personal VR fitness I use the Pro still
I had a similar experience, I ordered a generic silicone facial interface cover for the Quest 3... and what I got was AMVR branded. Very weird as the one sold as "AMVR" was way more expensive. 🤷♂
What would you recommend for a replacement interface in a mid range budget for use with the S3 Pro? I’m currently using the stock interface with a silicon cover over the stock cushion. I was hoping this would be it disappointed to hear how incompatible it seems to be with the S3 strap
Besides that expensive one(which i haven't tried), there isn't a better interface I've seen that gets the job done. That interference is annoying, but I am able to get it in the correct location to where it works.
I was THIS close to buying AMVR and then I found your video and all of these comments... Jay, I just need something that works with default Quest 3 headstrap and is good for sweating/VR fitness. Can you help out a lady in need with your advice? Thanks!
i have another issuem i just got the Q3 and the stock interface is just too narrow on the sides that it wont let the interface touch my forehead. will AMvr interface fixes this issue is it a bit wider? great video :)
I'm actually happy with the default interface. The outside of it is way more comfortable than the raw foam, and it's a bit more squishy on the sides than the Quest 2.
I've been using the AMVR with a some halo straps and I found I had to raise the forehead pad a little higher to get it to fit right, just depends on how close you have the headset to your face.
Yeah that incompatibility with the amvr is why i didnt get the s3 yet. I have not seen any interfaces that look even decent outside of the $90 one you have, and that's too rich for my blood. What a bummer we're still waiting onna decent one almost 6 months aftet launch.
Haha well it'll let you sweat your balls off since the Ice one stays HOTTER than the rest! It isn't a bad interface for fitness. You just may limit which head straps you can get with it to fit.
Love your videos! Do you think those little lens covers for the cameras on the front are a good idea or a bad idea? Protecting the lens is appealing, but not sure if they make the cameras not work as well.
I have Zyber VR ACE Headstrap which combines the advantages of different headstrap designs (and fits in the Quest3 original Case!)... and i ve the AMVR Facial Interface..and i am super happy.
I was looking at the AMVR interface as well, but I use a bobo halo strap, and I don't like that they made it incompatible with multiple straps, for seemingly the sake of that jumbo branding.
I'm not getting any light leak on my amvr interface.. It pairs well with my s3 pro but it does take some fiddling around to get it in the right position.
Unbranded China stuff is amvr, same pictures in listing, no amvr advertising on listing, turns up in an amvr box with amvr branding, it's an amvr faceplate. £7 delivered vs £35
I had the same wireless charger problem and thought it was the charger itself that I had to get it exchanged. I now have to use it without the nose light blocker.
The light bleeds next to the eyes, just left a bad review for the amvr ice silk...they not only extended the top, the changed the sides as well. I thought originally it was bleeding through the vents till I stood Infront of a mirror with the interface pressed against my face, almost a 1/4 inch or more on both sides of my eyes aren't touching the pad. If I do the same thing with the original quest 3 interface it seals around my whole face! Shame, I liked it, works with the new bovovr strap designed for quest 3. (S3) ...the only way I was able to fix it was to really tightening it down to the point it hurt my face bad. OR build up the sides with velcro, which looked horrid!
I absolutely can not use the stock facial interface so I’ve been using the M2 (with the conversion kit until my S3 shows up) w/o a facial interface. I don’t mind that all. I wish someone like Bobovr would make an interface similar to the Quest Pro. I love the open concept.
I cut up my stock interface to make a pro style setup. I tried to match the amount of openness of the quest pro. I succeeded in that, but wish i didn't go so far, a bit less would be perfect. It is nice having that clear view if I'm not looking to be immersed in a game. I am also waiting for someone to make a pro style for the q3, until then this will do.
Really wish this video had come out last week before I spent money on the AMVR Ice Silk Interface. The fact I can‘t charge on the dock with it attached is a no-go for me.
The oblik is like 90$ it's not "expensive" per se, taking into account that you expended 500+ in a headset. I hear you saying that in a lot of videos. It's true that it is more expensive than other non custom face interfaces, but you act as if you have a lambo or something.
These guys deliver to Canada yet? I'm gonna try to see if gf knows someone with an iPhone to get one. If not I think there's a service you can use to have things shipped to a US address then send it over.
This one technically does work but it's expensive: th-cam.com/video/XaLpjUsha38/w-d-xo.html I'm testing two more atm and one of them seems to be working. That video should be out on Wedns or so as we wrap up.
Thats exactly the reason i didn't buy bobovr s3 or m3. It interferes with my amvr cover plus i would give up audio from Deluxe Audio strap. There are a lot of straps currently, but just no decent facial interface and audio alternatives
I really miss my index. Wayyy better controllers, better audio, better fov, mind blowing comfort. Quest 3 is way more front heavy. The only thing it has going for it is a nicer screen and wireless if you care about that.
I like his reviews but really disagree on this one. I have the v2 interface with both pleather and cooling and both are really comfortable, mine has cooling gel that stays cool for a period of time. Really hard to see light bleed and easy to ignore. Fits perfect with elite style strap. Helps get closer to lenses and best of all got rid of lens fog for me. Extremely breathable. I absolutely love it and got it on a small sale. 100% recommendation for elite style strap users imo.
Same way as car parts where you can pay $500 for an "OEM" Toyota A/C compressor or just go with a non OEM Ebay compressor that is literally the exact same part for like $120 🤣
Heya Jay, Do you have any plans to make a video comparing the Kiwi headstraps to the BoboVR ones? I can't make a definitive choice to go for an "Elite style" or "Halo style" headstrap. As always, thank you for sharing your honest opinion about all the quest accessories.
There really is no way that someone can give you the right answer. You will have to try both styles to know which would be your favorite style. I actually prefer how secure and solid the elite style straps are. They stay in place better. I don't love the hat style of the halos necessarily. In the end though i use a halo style, as for extended play times, the halo keeping less pressure pushing on the face wins overall. It was an adjustment, but once i finally got it set up right and used it for a while it's what i prefer.
I chamged my M2 to M3 with the Upgrade Kit and it worked fine with the AMVR, I also put yesterdy my newly arrived S3 on it. and it worked also fine. You only have Light bleed if you doesn`t put the facial Interface completely in. If you think you put it completely in, there ist like 10mm to go.
Amvr are shilling like heck. Returned 2.of there masks and the whole negative experience with finding quest accessories because of youtubers biased recommendations and amazons nightmare processes. Im sick to death of trying to make quest 3 comfy. I have 2 512gb quests here and a psvr2 here all brand new and boxed and gonna get returned frankly. How shoddy is it to release a device for the face which is ghat uncomfortable
I hear you. AMVR seems to have fallen off this gen, I liked a decent number of their Quest 2 products. Quest keeps putting the battery up front which is a big mistake in overall comfort but I see how it keeps the manufacturing costs down. Somehow the PSVR 1 was one of the comfiest earliest VR headsets and no one has matched that, including the psvr2
As always, an extremely fair and thorough review. Like you, I’ll stick with my expensive, but extremely comfortable Oblik facial interface

What’s going on with Vr cover quest 3 interface?
Love your videos! Do you think those little lens covers for the cameras on the front are a good idea or a bad idea? Protecting the lens is appealing, but not sure if they make the cameras not work as well.
I have Zyber VR ACE Headstrap which combines the advantages of different headstrap designs (and fits in the Quest3 original Case!)... and i ve the AMVR Facial Interface..and i am super happy.
What the best for the BOBOVR S3 Pro Super Strap?
3:35 im Batman!
can you recommend a facial interface that will fit along with bobo m3
What is a good interface for m3/s3 besides the custom one? I don't have an ios device for face scan.
Anyone know Why VR Cover has not got any quest 3 interface and pads. here in the UK they have zero yet they had alot for quest 2
I have a light leak issue with the q3 original and AMVR interface , on the sides
Sounds like AMVR might want to create a variant that specially designed for the Bobo headsets.
I dumped the facial interface at all. Best decision ever. With the Bobo vr m3 I use the quest 3 like a quest pro, and is amazing
The V1 has the 3 vent holes as seen on the box, the V1 had the 4 vent holes among other differences.
Head size makes a big difference when choosing a halo head strap and facial interface.
The light bleed on mine is right at the last vent slot on the sides. I put some black silicone in the slot and it’s gone. Lol
Really wish this video had come out last week before I spent money on the AMVR Ice Silk Interface. The fact I can‘t charge on the dock with it attached is a no-go for me.
I have been using all stock meta quest 2 stuff since it came out ( strap and facial interface) might be time to upgrade lol
I saw a two $19 facial covers just recently on Amazon. I might try one.
Man you looking fresh
Thanks Nugget! I'm still getting over a cold so I don't sound as fresh :D
Thanks boss, you just saved me 11 bucks, You rock! Subscribed
I got the AMVR lmao, oh well. Its exactly what I wanted so I'm good. Pairs well with the bobo m3
Are you able to get the thicker top part to clear the M3 forehead strap? Mine kept interacting with it.
Jay....i need a facial interface that works with official charging doc...help a brother...
This one technically does work but it's expensive: th-cam.com/video/XaLpjUsha38/w-d-xo.html
I'm testing two more atm and one of them seems to be working. That video should be out on Wedns or so as we wrap up.
I might as well watch this guy
Thats exactly the reason i didn't buy bobovr s3 or m3. It interferes with my amvr cover plus i would give up audio from Deluxe Audio strap.
There are a lot of straps currently, but just no decent facial interface and audio alternatives
Could've really used this video like 2 weeks ago :D
I really miss my index. Wayyy better controllers, better audio, better fov, mind blowing comfort. Quest 3 is way more front heavy. The only thing it has going for it is a nicer screen and wireless if you care about that.
When is VR cover going to make bears That's what i'm waiting on
I like his reviews but really disagree on this one.
Hello Jaybratt
Hey Dude!
i feel like the right-hand controller kills the battery much faster.
dude i ordered my oblik with your code and im counting the days til i get it
Same way as car parts where you can pay $500 for an "OEM" Toyota A/C compressor or just go with a non OEM Ebay compressor that is literally the exact same part for like $120 🤣
Hi!
OG!!
I thought 💭🤔 everyone knew OURVR & AMVR were the same companies. Lol ,🤭
The same Chinese company owns multiple companies.
Heya Jay,
Do you have any plans to make a video comparing the Kiwi headstraps to the BoboVR ones?
OHH YEAHH
I’m pretty sure “ice silk” is just the name of the fabric
Thank you
👋 J 💙 🐈 you know who. 😊
Hi Mom!
I put the ice silk pad in the freezer then when I play a workout game
hi
Hi!
That’s absolutely not what drop shipping is.
I would have expected the AMVR interface to be good, its not, not impressed at all..
