It may not be completely frozen, but consider how cold it must have got to even freeze that cap or the edges, considering the bulk of water flowing. A truely staggering sight, thankyou for showing to the rest of the world.

I'm struggling with the partially frozen bit. All seems normal to me.
Well, you see that ice...
Partially means only in part or to a limited extent, and frozen means a liquid turned into ice as a result of extreme cold.
Should read, water below the falls freezes, but the river and falls keep flowing.
I'm going to leave Canada in this April. I wanna see the falls completely frozen til then. When will be the best timing🤔

.... it get's worse... this is mild - Thankfully we don'ty get the Snow Buffalo get's, but look for some of the photos - Drone footage of Fort Erie and Buffalo during the blizzard... it's straight out of Disney's frozen lol.
Has happened many times throughout history.. sometimes much worse.
