    Why would people insult eachother over a sport thats supposed to bring them together? It doesn´t matter if Crossfitters have ¨bad¨ form or not, the fact is, its an unstoppable comunity and if somebody doesn´t like it for any reason he is free to practice his favorite sport and feel good with it just like every other athlete. Peace!

      @@samreach2679 its BAD FORM! you rely on your swing movement to get up. Bad form increases injury risk greatly. Of course its easier to do muscle ups with shit form.. not a single muscle up was done that day.

      @@XSpanier there is literally no work out that would incorporate pull ups with running, which means you have nothing to compare it to, your comment is just whiney, can imagine a giant man child who can not even get themselves into a push up or even create a sentence themselves and has seen a comment before and wanted to copy and paste, that literal comment is on every video "not a single pull up was done that day". Are you lost? A bit of advice, if you do not enjoy something, it is way more productive to watch pretty much anything else. Many pull ups were done that day, a random troll on TH-cam cant change that.

    The camera work on this event (and this Games) was plain awful. They switch to Noah Ohlsen winning his heat, and instead of switching immediately back to Rich Froning trying to finish his last set unbroken they switch to a shot of the audience for like 5 seconds, and then to a wide shot of the whole stadium for another 3 seconds, all the while we miss the shot of Rich failing on his last rep. Fucking insane.

    • @GeorgeOwinoA
      @GeorgeOwinoA ปีที่แล้ว

      lol, bad camera work i agree but not for the reasons you list. when Leverich drops from first, they focus on Bridges who is second (camera and commentators). when Bridges drops, Ohlsen and Troyan are ahead of Froning, but because Froning is royalty, they focus on him throughout even though Olsen is ahead of Froning even in overall standings and would take back #1 spot upon winning. they only switch back to Ohlsen when he is sprinting across the finish line and say "out of nowhere"
      He didn't come out of nowhere, he was right ahead of the pack (or at least Froning) the entire event.

    Noah’s last rep that won him this competition looked very similar almost identical to the rep of bridges that was considered a no rep and then giving him a 200 m penalty run. Now I don’t claim to be an expert on CrossFit rules of course those are rules that are beyond me all I know is that bridges had his arms locked out for the same millisecond that Noah had his arms locked out yet bridges got a no rep with penalty and Noah didn’t and got the win. So not to take anything away from Noah, he’s a phenomenal athlete so props to him I just think it might be beneficial if the judges were a little more accurate, maybe more training so that one competitor doesn’t get judged differently then another competitor. Bc the rep of bridges that was considered a no rep looked identical to the rep of Noah’s which was ruled a good rep thus allowing him to finish and make a run to the finish line. Just a thought, just my own opinion.

    • @crljump

      absolutely. in past years, leblanc-bazinet didn't get no-repped many times for things like below the chin pull-ups and stutter-stepped advances on the overhead axle bar lounge, while other athletes, in the same event, got the feared no rep for doing the exact same thing as her.

      @@ianstratton1629 all sports have their own standards and rules, very unsure what you are getting at when that is very simple information that I understood as a child. Soccer and brazilian soccer, athletics at regional and national events, unless you are only interested in gymnastics you have no reason to not know this. Just reads like another passive aggressive comment from someone not even trying to understand this is a lot of disciplines rolled into one and efficiency is important or you wouldn't complete any of the events. If you do your research more gymnasts, per ratio too, end up with career ending injuries than crossfitters do, yet you are so sure that they have the most incorrect form.

    The idea that someone like Jason Khalipa could be called one of the 'fittest men on earth' is a joke. No hate towards the man himself, he's a great man and is obviously strong and in shape. But the fact he can barely run a 23 minute 5k, and struggles so much with bodyweight exercises, shows he is just another average strong guy. He wouldn't even be strong enough by most weightlifting standards to compete competitively in weightlifting, he's just stronger than the average crossfit athlete. And the tradeoff for that is poor running and bodyweight fitness. There are literally tens of millions of people who could run faster than he can, and do more pull ups and muscle ups than he can. Fitness is a relative term considering bodyweight- it's far more impressive that someone who weighs 150lb can clean 300lb and run a sub 18 5k, than it is someone who weighs 200lb can clean 360lb but only run a 23 minute 5k. Anyone who shows themselves at bad at moving their own bodyweight has no place being in a contest for the fittest person on earth, and the fact that such people exist in this contest shows the huge strength bias crossfit has in its testing of fitness. Someone who can run far, jump high, and move well is far fitter than someone who can lift heavier but barely run a 5k. That's just common sense.
