  • Coverage from the first day of the 2020 Arnold Strongman Classic, as re-broadcast on the CBS Sports Spectacular. The competition took place the weekend of March 6-7 in Columbus, Ohio, and brought together 10 of the most accomplished Strongman athletes from around the world, including 2x defending Arnold Classic champion Hafthor Bjornsson (Iceland), Martins Licis (USA), Mateusz Kieliszkowski (Poland), Jean-Francois Caron (Canada), and Mikhail Shivlyakov (Russia). Due to early Covid-19 safety protocols, the event was held without live spectators.
The CBS broadcast begins with an episode of the Rogue Iron Game, hosted by Sam Farber and Dr. Bill Crawford, previewing the weekend. This is followed by extended highlights from the three Day One events: Trial By Stone, Bag Over Bar, and the infamous Wheel of Pain (inspired by one of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s own classic films).

Old man strength is a myth. You reach your peak somewhere between mid 20s to mid 30s, then it is how well you age and how slowly you decline. Some people don't start lifting till late 20s, or they don't move from powerlifting to strongman lifts till mid 30s, that's a different thing and they'll see their peak a bit later on but a guy competing at these events in mid 20s will have nothing but a history of injuries and worn-out ligaments at 35-40.

@@aShamelessHigh he didnt cheat, he contested the refs decision because he believes he had good technique - this happens in literally every sport (think about tennis?) and eddie has done the same many times also. Eddie only made the video and edited it to make thor look bad because he was a jealous crybaby that thor beat his deadlift record and has more titles than him. Unfortunately for many new casual fans, that video is the first impression of thor but most strongman fans know that thor is a great humble guy and eddie is actually the one spreading negativity amomgst the community and isnt very well liked amongst the strongman community
