That Lisianthus is gorgeous! Strawflowers are a favourite around here, especially for my daughter. We also grew the double tall variety this year and a bunch is already hanging in the laundry room (which we love to see as we walk by it 🙂)

Love those strawflowers. Mine are just sitting there thinking. As is my statice. Sure takes along time for those to bloom for me, anyway. I lost almost all my Lissies to heat and drought in June. Sooo,--90's just fried alot of them . We need rain badly. Weather is getting more wierd every yr. Congrats on that seed to harvest lissie!!!

Iowa here. My lisianthus are on their fourth flush. And long stems. I'm really amazed. I have blue rim, pink rim, green, rose and purple ones. I got my lisianthus from a cell pack from an Amish greenhouse. I paid 1.50 for a cell pack. I bought them all along with rocket snaps.

I still have a bouquet of straw flowers my uncle gave me years ago and he's been dead more than ten years. He bought them from a roadside stand. The couple said they cut off the flower head from the stem, then poked a straight section of floral wire (craft stores sell) up its "butt" and as the flower dries it clenches onto the wire. 🤭
Your singing at the end of this video reminds me of Snow White's singing.

Thank you Nicole. I just picked my first Lizzie today a full 6 months after planting those teeny tiny seeds and hovering over them for all these months. There is no way I could have done it without your guidance. It has been an enjoyable and rewarding endeavor and I hope to ramp up my numbers next year. Very best wishes on your new adventure. I hope you have lots of parking because you are going to be BUSY beyond your wildest dreams.

I grew Lisianthus from seed because of you. This is the first time i've grown anything from seed. I thought they would never mature because they were so small when i put them in- way smaller than yours but they are almost blooming so i guess they caught up.

Your happiness 😊 is fetching ..
Congratulations on the new venture. Exciting, anxious I'm sure at times but it will be so exciting to share with your community of so much to choose from .. possibly many garden decorating items, bird baths, stepping stones, decorative pots, so so much. Our local garden sales place early season time may has classes for certain plants like rose care. Then they offered a "kids" fun class to get them interested into the garden., like maybe tomatoes, flowers, etc ..
If I was 40 years younger, I would of loved to do what you're doing now ..
I'm just retiring after 48 years in sales at the end of this month. Self employed .. nothing like owning your owned business. Live in Michigan, zone 6, newly married 8 Mos and will discover a new garden zone Reno .. will be back/forth .. life will be interesting..
Congratulations again dearheart .. You deserve this fun new venture for you and yours ..

Good tip about checking the underside of flowerhead for bees .Two days ago at noon, I was stung when dead heading a zinnia, because I didn’t think about the fact a bee might be underneath the flowerhead sheltering from the heat.🌸🐝

Love the straw flowers. I never thought that straw flowers have a white variety. I always thought that it's only red, orange, yellow and a mixture of it, because that's what I usually see in the market.
