      Something to note about these boards is that there are bios mods that allow you to take the single core boost and apply it to all cores, as well as unlock the fsb for overclocking, so you could theoretically take a 2.6ghz base 2640v3 and take it to 3.84ghz all core with a 113 fsb.

    Thanks for the excellent review. Finally, a thorough review in English, no less! I have purchased the HuananZhi X79 deluxe and it has run well in my eldest daughter's PC, for over 8 months. It is coupled with an E5-4627V2 (8C/8T) that I got for $80 plus shipping ( a nice deal).
    Although the X99 TF board itself would be top on my list for a budget build using DDR3 (already in hand), the IvyBridge CPU's are usually more discounted...more than the 20% gain from these V3 chips. It clearly makes a lot of sense for someone having to deal with higher landed costs (e.g. import duties, shipping), where these solutions can be compelling. But these Ryzen prices make this harder to justify in late 2019, IMO.
    Next time around I will see what is available from V4 and Ryzen...then do another budget type build at that time. Maybe in the next 2-3 years. My guess is that pricing will get much more interesting given recent market dynamics...meaning even more choices at that time!

      X99 does have its benifits over ryzen, quad channel, dual m.2 support, ecc ram support, and pretty good oc on the right CPUs, even x79 was decent at oc, I have a Xeon 2650 v2 running 4.4ghz on all cores absolutely fine

    Mainboard is quad channel memory capable, 7.1 channel audio by realtek 892 chip. CPU VRM area is populated with 5+10 capacitors, provides good stability. x99 platform is aging, this year CPU's patched by Intel. So, there is no need to pay a lot for a mainboard. Latest DDR4 rams are not good fit for this mainboard, because around 2400MHz DDR4 is the highest limit for Xeon v4's. New DDR4's went 3200 to 4000 so be careful when buying, low spd timings must be checked for being sure on the module. If you are a montage fan, choose a v4 Xeon for 4K montage for use with Magix Vegas version 17, which is the minimum specs for it. Only drawback is, there are no 3.1 USB ports. Nevertheless good job Huanan....

    The V3 Xeon CPUs are actually much faster than the V2 CPUs if you flash the bios with the microcode fix that allows the single core turbo boost on all cores. Currently the xeon e5 2678 V3 can be found for less than 100 USD. V4 CPUs sadly do not have the same bug as V3 and therefore cannot be run at max single turbo on all cores

    I like their boards (prefer the F8 myself for the 8 slots)
    My only complaint here in 2020 is I wish they would put as much care into the dual socket X99's as they do into these.
    Huanan's dual board is nice, much nicer than Jingsha's single 16x abomination, but something like the TF's integrated I/O shroud and active VRM cooling would be a nice touch on a dual socket.

Also, in all my 20+ years of working on computers, I'm never come across a new motherboard that we don't have to set the date and time. In one of the VIDOS it was noted that the RAM voltage on Huananzhi X99-TF Gaming is not regulated in fact and ranges from 1.2-1.23. I have a Corsair 3000mhz RAM with a voltage of 1.35. Q: will my Corsair work on Huananzhi X99-TF Gaming?

    They put those stickers on top of the Ram slots because random fragments, shavings, byproduct material can fall down into the actual slot during later stages of refurbishment/remanufacturing. Believe it or not, it does happen. Probably more than you'd think. My Asus Crosshair Hero VII x470 didn't have protective stickers over the DIMM slots and it came with what looked like a rolled up ball of adhesive material stuffed down inside one of the DIMM slots. I nearly broke both the board and the DIMM in an effort to get the damn thing seated properly.

    • @Ozzy3333333
      @Ozzy3333333 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The stickers are there because there is two types of ram that fit (99.9% of MB dont have this feature), so its simply a warning and headache control for them and end user. If it was for fragments, then what about the 5 pcie slots?

    Believe it or not Huananzhi does actually have legit warranty. I had a similar x99 board that I made a claim on and sent in think at least if nothing comes of it that will at least save me the trouble of taking it to an electronics recycler, I too did not expect much and ended up forgetting about it. 3 months later a new board showed up at my doorstep. I was genuinely shocked.
    I think because these boards are basically made from recycled parts anyways that it isn't much of a loss for them to replace a broken board since they can just stick it back into their pile of e-waste that they strip all the good pieces from to make more boards from. Huananzhi, Jingsha, Erying, and Machinist are all actually pretty legit companies, that just like making kickass affordable hardware.

    don't waste your money...i purchased one of these thinking wow all this and the price too...and yes it looks pretty...i received mine a month later after it took them 17 days to process the order..i purchased the combo the 12 core Xeon, 32gb ram and the x99-tf...when i checked it out i found one ram module was bad and it actually was used server ram...no biggy, the CPU was also used(but so far it works) i then found that the drivers supplied did not work with windows 10 pro, so i went to their website and downloaded their questionable drivers with no driver date/version (actually said unknown date on download). these also did not work...so i went to the (Ethernet) chip set manufacturer and finally got the thing to connect to the internet. and then i tackled each problem individually...you see it (MB) was not fully compatible with Windows 10, and while it has the same problems that plague other X99 boards from legit manufacturers these guy locked or removed many of the functions in bios that where used to correct those same issues.. i also had wiring problems as the motherboard jfp1 connectors where too small and the case wire connectors fell off repeatedly. then the screaming started i installed a MSI RX5600 xt Mech and it came unglued...fearing for my video card i continued using a cheap MSI, eventually i manage to get the system working to find it did not recognize my M.2 or SSDs. after contacting them i found there was no warranty and no customer service also aliexpress sided with them as i didn't use an eraser on the contacts as was told by the manufacturer (my belief was that i wanted something that worked, not a used and defective item i had to coax and trick into working)...so if you are a programmer and know your way around bios you may be able to have a working system in a day...if not get a legit board. i will be posting this warning for as many as possible to see so they do not suffer as i did

    Hi, does this mainboard support 32GB memory sticks? I have x99-AD3 and it can but I saw many hiccups and lags during heavy load (those didnt appear with 16GB sticks installed)

    • @KatesHardwareReviews
      @KatesHardwareReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I cant find anything that says it does, but I would try lowering CL and timings and/or raise your dimm voltage. Installing a lot of memory can sometimes cause unstable memory because its more strain on the IMC.

    • @nguyenduclan0509
      @nguyenduclan0509 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kate's Hardware Reviews I bought one, and it seemed to have the same problem, maybe the Bios IMC doesnt support timing memory value over than 11 (32GB sticks are 11-13-13 35. I tried to input manually but it didnt help (bios directions stated that value from 0-4 Auto, 5-11: timings)

    • @KatesHardwareReviews
      @KatesHardwareReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nguyenduclan0509 Any ddr4 or ddr3 for that matter running a main timing at 4 would be unstable and probably never boot.....even on ln2 so I am sure its just the bios having a bad description. for 4 32gb dimms try something like 1800-2100 at cl 14-16 and a vDIMM at 1.6v. and try to keep all the other timings lose as these boards dont have great memory training.
