The choke's are anyone's guess. But, those seem to be YTF brand Chinese capacitors made by Shenzhen Yike Technology or its parent/official name (can't figure it out) Shenzhen Jinmao Yuan Technology. Their capacitance is 820uF and they're rated at 2.5V. Chinese, so not great, but as long as VRM temps are ~80C or below, they won't explode on ya. The 'FETs are made by UBIQ (the logo's based on the lowercase form [ubiq]). Their full names are QM3092M6 and QM3098M6, and they seem to be pretty damn good. That's not a 7 phase doubled though, otherwise it'd look like a 14 phase. It's got one high-side and two low-side's, and the chips next to them are the driver's. Doubler's are like half the size of the driver's. Doesn't matter though, because it's a quality 7 phase. It just needs a bit of airflow via a case fan at the top, and a proper heatsink wouldn't hurt. Overall, the VRM's are decent.
Thanks for making this video! However it seems that the better choice regarding Chinese LGA 2011 boards is still the HuananZhi X79 Gaming or the X79 Plus, specifically V6.0 and up, as they do achieve the same CPU overclocks but also allows for the tuning of both RAM frequency and timmings up to DDR3 2133 CAS 11 at a lower price point. They do even have been voltmodded to reach 4.5 GHz on the E5-1650 V2! It would be great if such claims could be tested someday by you. Best regards!

Funny, until a couple months ago I was planning on buying one of these boards- before taking advantage of a cheap deal on an X370 board+R5 2600, and splurging on 48GB of DDR4 (which is the amount of DDR3 I would've been able to populate this thing with...)
I used to own this board and had a 2680v2 on it with 64GB of registered DDR3. Good for the price and did well as a 1080p gaming system paired with an RX 580, but did have a couple issues...first is that the BIOS was not only simplistic, but Runing also didn't offer any BIOS updates, so you were stuck with the original one. Second is though this mobo has an MSATA port, I couldn't get my 860 EVO MSATA to work on it, BIOS didn't even recognize it! Third is even with an SSD, it took a long time to boot, mainly took a long time to get through the BIOS. Fourth is that the BIOS fan controls sucked, tried to run everything at 100% no matter which setting you picked. Fifth and most annoying is that the size is slightly LONGER than a standard ATX board, which should be 12"x9.6" and this was more like 12.6" long. That extra 0.6" in length means it won't fit many cases.
I've been using one of these for 12 months with a Xeon 2650v1 64gb of cheap ECC memory, low cost water cooler and an Intel nic running 8x3tb WD Reds in Freenas Z2 and it hasn't missed a beat
These boards are pretty reliable! I have been using one since may 2018 with a xeon e5 1650 overclocked to 4.1ghz with a bios mod, and it's still running smoothly. I use it with a Vega 56 and it's totally fine for 1080p games. I ought to upgrade the whole system at some point but I'm fine with running this for even a couple more years.
Got all of the parts in and did the install as per previous post. Very pleased with the Huanan x79 deluxe. Was even able to install WIN10Pro and boot on the NVME M.2 ((XPG GAMMIX 55 by ADATA 256GB)! Now...let's just see how long this little beast will last! System is running cool with a cheap $25 dual RGB fan 4-pipe cooler from AliExpress.

But ratings looks pretty low at only 22A but since there double'd to 14 you could look at it like 7X44A looking at the video i don't see any doublers so the components are probably just doubled up so its looking like a 7phase.
I just upgraded my i7 3930K to a i7 8700K but i loved that 3930K, it was a great overclocker. I got it to 4.6 perfectly stable, never got 4.7 too work but the 3930k with my 980Ti was a great pair.
I bought the same mobo for my 4820K and it works well. So far the only problem i encountered is the USB connections. Some devices are not recognized and i need to swap ports to get them running.
Thank you.
I run my huanan x79 v 2.46 c602 chipset with xeon e5 1650v1 on 4.2 ghz and with 32 gig ecc reg ram. Have this rig already 2 years, all is ok. You need a custom bios to rich a 4.1 - 4.3 ghz. Also, you can get a 4.5 ghz with a voltmod.
your overclock did not worked because you dont calculated it properly :D base frequency 133 Mhz x 43 or 42 you set gives you frequency close to 6Ghz, try to pul something like 32 in multiplier, it should work as you desire ;)
@@Apik17 Totally missed that part lol, thanks for the correction! How did they(China) manage to screw up stock BIOS setting so bad lol Edit: but at 6:40 AIDA64 states 100Mhz so who the frig knows lol
I use this board with my 12 core Xeon 2695 v2, and loaded it with 64g of Ram. It works fine, except some USBs are occasionally not recognizing couple of peripherals. Do you know if there is an official website from Running with firmware updates? Or is there a forum about troubleshooting problems with that mobo? Thank you for this video!
This video is why I love this channel. Even the crappiest hardware doesn't escape Brian's scrutiny. lol...and all I have to say about this motherboard is...well you don't want to know...let's just say it would be my last choice out of 1000.
Bryan, could you take a look at the new X99 DDR3 board by HUANAN on Aliexpress? They've only been available for a couple weeks and I'd love for an English channel to do a review of it.
your a big fan of x58 right?, is there a trick to getting the hp z400 motherboards to work?. reason I ask is because I have purchase like 6 of these boards off ebay, over last couple of years and they all turned out to be dead or had badly bent pins. but when I would bread board these on the table top with all the harnesses and switches and leds but without the case's, I could never get one of them to post!. but I have no problems with the z800's or the xw9400 server boards or even the z600's, but nothing I do seems to do a damn thing to help on the z400. were these a problem from the factory or what, because nothing I have read have shown any problems with them.
Bryan can you tell us what x58/x79 new/Chinese or w/e boards overclock over 4.0ghz? At least 4.0-4.4ghz or so. Not interested in boards stuck at default to 3.9ghz. let us know. Thanks Maybe even a video of the only worth it oc x58/79 boards.
I will use my SSD, HDD, Roswill 650W PS, GTX 1050, soundcard and BlueRay DVD from my old DELL XPS 420 Q6600. Also, an extra 16GB of EEC 1600Mhz RAM I have. Just bought a Cooler MasterBox Pro 5 RGB for $88 delivered. A Huanan X79 Deluxe with the M.2 slot on the board ($138)...and an E5 1650 V2 ($134). I think it will turn out to be a pretty decent rig for home use...as I will be satisfied with 3.9 Ghz, so I doubt I will push the limits on OC here. We shall see.
Would it make sense for someone (me) with a complete i7, x79 system from 2013 or so (but which still performs well enough for everything I need - 70+ fps in Terran X3 @ 4k!) to swap in a Chinese X79 MB to get the NVMe capability? (I have a Gigabyte X79-UP4, so the two things I would lose are the 4 extra memory slots (but I currently use 4x4 (for 16) memory now, quite adequate) and the digital/SPDIF sound output, but I could buy a card for that.) Thoughts? I'm currently booting and running off a SATA SSD, so how much benefit would there be to boot/run off an NVMe drive?
Did you check if those pci-e 16x work when you use more than 2 at same time. Atleast one version of this board only lets you use either Black or Grey slots at same time.
Hello my friend i have a question ... i have the Runing X79 Motherboard and i have the E5-2690 v2 and in the game it reaches on turbo boost just at 3.3GHz .... do u have a better bios to give me ??? ......
That's actually a common budget arrangement. Per phase MOSFET gate driver IC + one high-side and two low-side in parallel, which is a cheap way to distribute the load, lower the losses and make things less explodey. You must find either one very expensive low-side MOSFET with ultra low RDSon or two of the more normal garden variety ones in parallel, that's how it is, and so doubled up lowers are common on budget boards. Separate gate drivers is another cheap solution. I mean nothing wrong with all that, but the whole thing seems to look more impressive to you than it really is?
This is not for people that are building from scratch. This is for people like me that already have some DDR3 ram, a decent CPU cooler, SSD, graphics card, etc. I'm coming from an AMD 960t desktop with 16GB of DDR3 and a Thermaltake Frio Extreme. I also own an i7 2670MQ laptop. All I have to do is buy a cheap six core E5-1650 or an octa core E5-2690 (your choice, both are around $65 to $70 right now), use my DDR3 ram or buy 32GB of dirt cheap registered DDR3 ram on eBay for $45 to $50, use my already powerful 1000w power supply and my old SSD, and the difference would be massive compared to my old rig. I can choose this more expensive Runing board or I can be patient and wait for a proper branded used board on eBay for around $150. Or perhaps I can choose something less fancy like the PlexHD X79 that can be found for around $90 and does the job just fine. There are many ways to jump on the X79 platform these days. So, if you are coming from an older platform that used DDR3, for a little over $150 your computer can become relevant again. We are talking about near Ryzen 2600 performance for the price of a single Ryzen 2600 or less. And if you are in a tight budget, there are some motherboards for as little as $60 (not recommend, though), making this upgrade possible with just a little over $100. So in my opinion, yes, these Chinese boards are still worth it. However, if you are in a budget but are building from scratch, just get a Ryzen.
6c/12t 3.9 GHz is fine for now. I recently did a X58 build with the Intel DX58SO + X5675 CPU. Also clocked that to only 3.9 GHz. (only a 92mm Noctua tower cooler and that Intel MB is not really good at OC, and I wanted the BCLK down and rely on Turbo). Paired with a GTX 1070 is was still a capable system. Actually did about 900cb i Cinebench (not far from this one) Can't remember the excact result though. :)
You're right about dual CPU. I have Dell Precision Workstation T5500 with dual xeon X5670. Some games won't run until disabling some cores in BIOS or via msconfig.
I have a Chinese x58 motherboard and it has no overclocking functions in the bios. Kind of gimps the x5670 I have in it but I've put it to work as a media PC, so things aren't all bad.
I have a not too old lapper but it's a 1.0GHz dual core, was thinking of taking the CPU cooler out and maybe making a VRM cooler with it. Just trying to think of how to power it.
@TechYesCity Test out the mSATA slot, never could get it to work even after speaking to Russians. The jumpers were said to enable mSATA but will disable some of the SATA ports.
@Tech YES City I am getting an i7 3930k with an arctic liquid freezer 240 and a Asus Rampage IV Formula. I can not get an 4.6GHz overclock stable, because I tested this combo a whole day with gaming and some stress testing like cinebench, but after 3 hours it crashes all the times (CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT). The temperatures getting no more than 70°C and I tested that system with 1.2V, 1.25V, 1.3V and with 1.35V but that didn't work. Please help me
For a bit more, probably about 150 Yankee dollar you'd get a proper (2nd hand) x79 probably, tested and working... Saw many of those "no-name" or some "X-name" mobos, some were even strange combos of mobile chipset and dimm ram (not so-dimm), problems with even booting into OS, etc... It's ok if you want to play a bit and throw it to garbage then, X (x58, x79, 99, 299) are (were) workstation platform, and you need stability and support for this use, so those boards aren't really so cheap (read not worth it) if you calculate a bit, but a nice experiment anyway... Sometimes I buy strange parts too to have a peek and have some fun with!
@@WarriorsPhoto huanan and runing both have a x99 right now though the huanan only supports Ddr3 thus cpu choice is very limited the runing supports Ddr4 the huanan also has 10 phase power I think the runing does aswel but not 100% sure

Was looking into this board today as there is a mobile deal on AliExpress for NZ$182 however on further inspection this motherboard will not fit my case even though my case will fit an eatx. This motherboard has a non standard shape just like the green huanan x79 2.49. Anyone have any ideas of what case this thing will fit in?
You're not just crazy, the PCB definitely has a brown tin to it under light. And yeah' I've noticed a lot of budget boards have that. Whatever they're using to color them is probably more mahogany or coffee color than actual black. Its a weird thing to skimp on, but I guess you have to cut corners somewhere.
some are, some are not, a buddy of mine tested 8 kits(sort of his hobby) found one was "bloody amazing" and some where MEH, worse then AIO, but, whats funny is, every kid came with some good parts, sometimes just mixing and matching got him amazing results, one came with amazing fans, but...the rad shroud was crap no seal, moved to a nice uber thiccccc 240 rad that came with a horrible block... etc, it can be fun, some kits are VERY nice for the price, one came with a pump i used in a job i had that would run for a decade 24/7 before a chance it was gonna stop, high flow and pressure... amazing...
I bought this exact same board for a server upgrade but can't get video out with any of my Xeons. If Mr. Yes happens to have a 2690 lying around to test as well that'd be super.
I have a gigabyte 970a-ds3p Rocking an AMD 6300... 24Gb DDR3 Ram and a GTX 960 2Gb OC edition.... My gameplay is not great... Could use a few pointers to help performance wise...?
yes man, just upgraded from a Vega 56 to a 1080ti because I found a bargain. Do you think my 1650v2 @ 4.4 is holding back my GPU for 1440p 144hz gaming?
I have this motherboard and an E5-2670 8 core 16 thread CPU but I don't know what case it will fit in because it's a big motherboard, can someone help me? It doesn't have to be a fancy case just anything will work.! Thank you
I'd really like to see you try ThrottleStop to see if you can't get those overclocks to stick in the OS level. I've used it before with z170 laptops with unlocked chips. The BIOS options were there to overclock (but not yet supported in bios, later were with update) but in the OS they didn't apply. Throttlestop allowed setting the multipliers with the program and OS. Also since you don't have BIOS level voltage control, you can use Throttlestop to set an adaptive, or manual voltage control. It's a very light program and loads of options to tinker with. www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-throttlestop/
Those chokes look pretty good. I've found little data on those mosfet numbers but nothing promising. (Still looking) but lets say worst case scenario there 40A chokes. That would be 280A's max going through the VRM. That's enough to run a 6c12t cpu with a light OC. Will get back soon as i find out more on the VRM. Also I'll msg. Buildzoid and see what he thinks. I have a feeling they will be sufficient.
what mobo? asus, msi, gigabyte? those are like 45-60€ and the cpu is 15/16€ i almost bought it, but then i rememeber i still have a fx8370e with msi 970 mobo that i use for mining so i bought a old h61 mobo with 4 pci ports of aliexpres and i have a dual core celeron to go with that , for the miner. no need to buy more parts when i still have parts.
idk about the mobo but i've bought a x3440 from aliexpress back then and it run finely @3.8ghz at first but as time went by i've started to get BSODs,having to reduce clock to 3.35ghz
If it's 2011 and supports x79. It will work but bare in mind that if you use an i7 you will need normal ddr3 ram. Only when using a xeon is ecc supported
If you have access to a company that is replacing servers, and have access to used E5-2650 CPU and Memory, some average SDD and older high end GPU's, I guess this will be a good motherboard to incorporate all those into a home sized PC?
I was watching Russian review of this board. Russians love AliExpress. This board is limited to 3.9 ghz on any CPU you put into it. Another glitch is when you put the computer to sleep PCIE cards stay lit, and fans stay spinning on your gpu. There was another glitch, that I cannot remember right now.

your overclock did not worked because you dont calculated it properly :D base frequency 133 Mhz x 43 or 42 you set gives you frequency close to 6Ghz, try to pul something like 32 in multiplier, it should work as you desire ;)
Stock base is 100Mhz, just saying lol
@@thebait68 look at 4:41 in Video - base frequency 133 Mhz ;) , 100 is in most bioses but this case might be different : )
@@Apik17 Totally missed that part lol, thanks for the correction! How did they(China) manage to screw up stock BIOS setting so bad lol
Edit: but at 6:40 AIDA64 states 100Mhz so who the frig knows lol
@@thebait68 It says 100MHz BCLK in Windows probably because the 133x44 settings in BIOS failed and as such booted at 100MHz BCLK.
@@AndyBradley1984 it was a rhetorical statement on my behalf, but thanks anyway lol
Have you tried setting the voltage with intel XTU? I use this to undervolt my laptop cpu without using the bios.
Bryan, could you take a look at the new X99 DDR3 board by HUANAN on Aliexpress? They've only been available for a couple weeks and I'd love for an English channel to do a review of it.
very cool idea.
your a big fan of x58 right?, is there a trick to getting the hp z400 motherboards to work?. reason I ask is because I have purchase like 6 of these boards off ebay, over last couple of years and they all turned out to be dead or had badly bent pins. but when I would bread board these on the table top with all the harnesses and switches and leds but without the case's, I could never get one of them to post!. but I have no problems with the z800's or the xw9400 server boards or even the z600's, but nothing I do seems to do a damn thing to help on the z400. were these a problem from the factory or what, because nothing I have read have shown any problems with them.
I bought a plexhd x79 turbo for €80 stock bios 4.2 ghz stable on my 1650v2
Hi,could you help me on some issue of QHQG processor?
I can' properly work Intel display drivers on it,it would freeze if i install it.
The MOSFETs are likely QM3092M6 and QM3098M6 from UBIQ. The QM3098M6 is rated for 30V / 128A / 3mOhm, not bad if they have 14 of them...
Bryan can you tell us what x58/x79 new/Chinese or w/e boards overclock over 4.0ghz? At least 4.0-4.4ghz or so. Not interested in boards stuck at default to 3.9ghz. let us know. Thanks
Maybe even a video of the only worth it oc x58/79 boards.
I'm currently booting and running off a SATA SSD, so how much benefit would there be to boot/run off an NVMe drive?
this motherboard unlocked voltage & overclockable?
Did you check if those pci-e 16x work when you use more than 2 at same time. Atleast one version of this board only lets you use either Black or Grey slots at same time.
Was there a way to set the multiplier if you disabled the turbo? I wonder if that would allow an attempt at a higher locked frequency.
How do you tell if a motherboard is a true X79 or not ? I've ordered some X79 board on aliexpress and want to check
I'm not sure if i missed but what are those white coolers?
painted 212 evo?
Is this PCIE x16 3.0 or 2.0? I just bought this board and people are saying in gpu-z it's showing 2.0 :-\
So what socket does it use? I don't get it because he's using a i7, but its a xeon mobo?
Socket 2011. There are xeon 2011's as well as xeon 2011's.
I have an Atermiter x99. I can't get the SATA M.2 SSD drive to show up, is there a an option I need to enable? Please help.
Sometimes I buy strange parts too to have a peek and have some fun with!
how to disable SCSI in this motherboard? I can't set 4g decoding to enable, A6 code came out and black screen
Good video. Does this company make boards for other platforms? X58, X99, etc...?
Probably X58. At least there are lot of Chinese X58 boards around.

Black PCB? Looks a lot more brown to me.
Check your monitor?
Fefinix
It's not my monitor. Literally anything I've viewed one of these on, and some other cheaper boards, look brown.
Yeah, how much does it cost to change the PCB's color anyway?
Why are x79 motherboards still so expensive.
Seriously it's cheaper to buy an i7 3820 used pc than the actual motherboard at times.
So if this has a c600 chipset.. can you get ecc working with an xeon? could be good for freenas
Have you been able to test the huanan dual x79-16D (spefically)?
Bryan, you should look into getting some generic water cooling on Aliexpress, I’ve heard they’re comparable to the $300+ kits that EK sells.
some are, some are not, a buddy of mine tested 8 kits(sort of his hobby) found one was "bloody amazing" and some where MEH, worse then AIO, but, whats funny is, every kid came with some good parts, sometimes just mixing and matching got him amazing results, one came with amazing fans, but...the rad shroud was crap no seal, moved to a nice uber thiccccc 240 rad that came with a horrible block... etc, it can be fun, some kits are VERY nice for the price, one came with a pump i used in a job i had that would run for a decade 24/7 before a chance it was gonna stop, high flow and pressure... amazing...
X79 on a budget, but with less compromise? This looks interesting for new entries into the x79 HUSTLE GAME!
I bought this exact same board for a server upgrade but can't get video out with any of my Xeons. If Mr. Yes happens to have a 2690 lying around to test as well that'd be super.
You will need a gpu for that the motherboard nor the xeons have integrated graphics

I would be interested to see is the Xeon v3 all-core BIOS micocode hack work on this board. Something like a 2680v3 12c/24t @ 3.3GHz?
Wait. Nevermind.. Thinking X99 lol.
yes man, just upgraded from a Vega 56 to a 1080ti because I found a bargain. Do you think my 1650v2 @ 4.4 is holding back my GPU for 1440p 144hz gaming?
Not really
Only problem is the ram the cpu supports. with it only supporting up to 1866mhz
On the Xeon 1650 V2, I assume you know this by now, but it has an unlocked multiplier.
I have this board with a e5-1650 v2 and it will run 4.3 stable 24/7. Might do a volt mod and see if it will go higher.
What motherboard would you recommend for a 4820k?
The Running logo is horrible! Is there a way to hack the bios and place my own logo for the booting sequence?
Can you use the intel extreme tuning utility overclocking software to OC the chip ?
I have this motherboard and an E5-2670 8 core 16 thread CPU but I don't know what case it will fit in because it's a big motherboard, can someone help me? It doesn't have to be a fancy case just anything will work.! Thank you

The strange name is actually a Chinese translation of 阜宁 or something like that which is ru ning in hanyu Pinyin.
I managed to grab a 3930k and Asus P9X79 Pro motherboard for +- $180 US which I think is pretty good
I'd really like to see you try ThrottleStop to see if you can't get those overclocks to stick in the OS level. It's a very light program and loads of options to tinker with.

where download the drivers of that x79 board is compatible with any x79 china plate
Picked up an Asus sabertooth on Ebay for 120 usd and a 3930k for 50. Not too bad a deal.
You coukd try running the latest version of HWinfo64 or Aida64. They may shed some light on the VRM.
