Cousin has a 360 dollar pair he bought last year with the screwed soles. He only wears them on dry days, doesn't abuse them. His soles are now coming off. He contacted origin and they told him they only have a 30 day warranty so he is out of luck. So much for that "we stand behind our products 100%" they got all over their website.
Hoping he can get ahold of someone else at origin through email that'll make it right.

Because of your videos and because I really REALLY want to love Origin, I bought a pair of their Built boots. They took 3 weeks to break in but I fought through and we made it. Unfortunately, I noticed today the vibram soles are separated from the leather. These are not nailed like your new ones are though and I've contacted Origin tonight with pictures, letting them know what happened. I believe in this company and I want them to succeed so as long as they're taking our feedback and improving the product, I'll keep supporting them 🇺🇸

At this price point, I would be okay with two years. The boots I bought at Red Wing are barely even comfortable after two years. I commend origin for fucking around and finding out, and might even try a pair of their built boots.

Curious how they’ve held up? I think the screws in the soles should’ve bought some more time. If you can get about a year of daily wear out of boots before needing resole that ain’t too bad.

considering origin is a company that basically only made jiu jitsu gear just a couple of years ago id say its still impressive theyve managed to start making boots and so many other things entirely in the US and from mostly all US materials at all, let a lone good quality stuff (even if these line of boots cant hold up to a tough job quite as well as wed like to see). i will never put any boots or footwear through anything as rough as in these videos so good to see others who are doing just that. and hopefully the company is paying attention still and taking feedback to improve the products. i only have jeans from them so far and theyre the best jeans ive ever owned. im a light user though as i work at a computer in gym shorts 90% of the time. but when i need pants my origin jeans are the clear winners every time and im replacing my other jeans with more from origin. will try their boots out eventually but still have several other pairs of boots that dont get worn enough already. the whole work from home thing killed most of my needs for replacing clothing other than cheap gym shorts.

Definitely props to Origin. They are a good company. We recently designed and launched a woodworking tool, which is way simpler than a boot. I can even imagine what it takes to make a good, durable, and comfortable boot while trying to stick to American materials. On top of that, making it affordable.
Our product is just metal cut and folded ti make a simple rack for clamps, and it still took 5 designs to reach the final.
A little more money into real world use testing and Origin could of saved a load of money on returns and replacements.

They can just cut a groove on the outsole and stitch both the midsole and the outsole together. For ~400USD shoes, they should do better than just nailing the toe part.

Smooth concrete, at minimum 1 year.
You said you wear other boots USA made that are cheaper and more comfortable. On that note, in order to claim made in USA they only need to be soled in here to meet that regulation. The rest of the process can be anywhere outside the US.
Also some of Origin boots have Cristy soles. Cristy soles don't last 2 weeks on rough concrete. If they used a good sole then we'd see more guys in commercial construction trying them

As shallow as those mini lugs are, they might as well be a thin wedge sole. I don't like the mini lug for work, only casual and they look especially thin on these boots. I'm about to order these in the black wedge sole, I think that's a better match for being on concrete.
