The lights were so amazing, just as the sound. I had no one to take me, so I had to runaway and get to the concert on my own. I was 13. Getting back home at midnight was another story...
I went to this show in the UK. The lights, sound was unbelievable for the time. It’s still the best show I’ve been to. I was blown away by how good they were. Their songs have stood the test of time as well

Says Tom: “This will be the first time I’ve sung the TT’s hits in decades. It’s taken a long time, but now I’m really looking forward to playing those songs to some of the fans that were there first time around.” Formed in 1977, the original Thompson Twins trimmed down their line-up in 1982 to a three piece of Bailey, Alannah Currie and Joe Leeway as they adopted a more electronic synthesizer based sonic line-up. Tom Bailey was the singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer and, along with lyricist Alannah Currie, composed and arranged the Thompson Twins music. The Thompson Twins also enjoyed big success on the US dance chart with ‘Lies”, ‘In the Name of Love’ and ‘Hold Me Now’ all reaching the No 1. @RaunchyRocker They were VERY big here in the states back then-I saw them a few times and they sounded gr8! They had quite a few hits that were huge for them here! TTs were very 80's in every way! LOL! Those 80's were some awesome times and I wish I could re-live it all again and feel very fortunate to have experienced the 80's scene during my youth :) Fun times indeed! ;)

Not sure if you know this but the lead singer ,Tom Bailey , is back singing all the hits. He did Retrofutura tour with Howard Jones last year and he might go on tour again in the US. I loved them back then and still listen to their music today. Great group and Tom is a great musician imo.
+NewWave Girl here on you tube there are videos from the last 3 years with Tom on stage. I couldn´believe it how he look now and how his voice sounds now, after 30 years. For me, his voice has lost a lot opf power.

I have mixed feelings about this. It feels a little too sterile in places, almost to the point at which it seems like they’re lip-syncing. There’s one point around the seven-minute mark at which Joe’s hands don’t seem to be touching the actual keys. But it sounds good, and it’s an impressive stage show.
