Leliana needs to be kept as far away from being the divine as possible since she has no idea what consequences things have and her naive optimism and lack of any personal integrity is ridiculous. I think even Lady V is better at that job. But none of those are even candidates when Cassandra enters the picture.
From a mage's POV, Lelly and Cassie are, each in their own way, "the system is broken and needs to be fixed" candidates. Vivienne is the "the system is working as intended and needs to be dismantled" candidate.
@@Blazingstoke Vivienne love power & is pragmatic as hell. @@Blazingstoke but she is known for the fact that she is a Chantry loyalist and serves the Empress of Orlais. No one thinks she will change or dismantle anything.
I've picked each of them in various playthroughs, but my "headcanon" ending has Vivienne becoming the new Divine. Why? Because my PC is a mage, non-Andrastean, and feels that what the Chantry needs most is a serious shake-up. _Especially_ after what we learn about Tranquility and the way the Chantry has abused the rite to oppress the magically inclined.
Cassandra grows as person through the game, if this was a book her arc would probably be her becoming the Divine while Leliana has always been a supporting character whether it was to the Warden, the Divine or the Inquisitor. To me all of your reasons show why she is best suited to the cloak and dagger instead of the spotlight, she has the temperament for it and she’s good at it.
For me, it usually comes down to what I did with Blackwall. If he is gone, then my party is going to need a tank in Trespasser, and that means Cassandra cannot be Divine. Same thing if Viv is being used as an important party member- if I want her in the party then she can't be Divine.
Oh that was a sudden end. I thought you would also explain the ending cards. And use those And ehile I understand to not include Viv. She can become devine and if you want to show why Lelisna is supirior you have to adress the unpleasant people as well.
ok thanks. No problem I had to know if I'm going to lose her or no, if I lose any one of my friend on the war table or party members I will refuse any quest related to that, they are my family now 😤😤 @@DragonyAuntTalksGames
same here...i felt the pressure to not make all of the characters disapprove during the game! well, maybe except Vivienne, she can stay or go if she wants 😛
I REALLY wanted to ask! why everyone hate her? I really don't know the reason!! in my previous gameplay she was one of my main party member I remember watching a video explaining that she is the best mage out there but now I did not interact with her that much not because I hate her, or may be I did not play the mission where she plays on my nerves? I'm starting new and I'm trying to finish every mission on each map so I will not allow myself to go do other missions in other maps that is why I'm trying to finish my missions as best as possible.@@DragonyAuntTalksGames
that is a good question! i can't speak for all DAI players about Vivienne, it's just my personal opinion. i guess that shows how good Bioware was at making a character that people have strong feelings about :) but i'm glad you are enjoying DAI, it's a really good game with lots of replayability!
Ok very late but replaying yet again. This is hardest choice for me, Cassandra is going to be terrible and revert everything to what created problems in first place and has zero leadership or diplomacy skills. This had always led me to chose Leliana regretfully. This poor woman has served her whole life with only thing to grasp is finally spending her retirement with her warden love....and I stole that from her time and again. Finally this time guilt got me and I went V..and damn she by far the best. While she does reform circle and Templars she shifts power to make it workable and she is master of game. While she is a snob and beach she actually has a unique perspective on issues and how to fix without destroying everything in process.
well you dont directly choose the next divine. This happens through several key decisions made throughout the game Theres a guide on the internet so im not gonna explain the process. However player needs to know this: Leliana contributes to the best world state as she actually reforms the Circle Cassandra does OK job but absolutely hates being the Divine Vivien.... I dont even know why she is an option. World state under her means everything goes back to the way before the war - Circles with oppressed mages, Corrupt templars etc Theres also the fact that she is the only candidate that doesnt get War Table mission to be supported as the next Divine. And it felt weird that if you play as a mage you can ask Cassandra why you (the inquisitor) is not put as candidate and she explains that its mostly because you are a mage. So it makes 0 sense for Vivien to become Divine. Anyways, i consider Vivien route to be the fail route As for best world state im thinking: ----- Allied with the mages Said "I will do it because its right" when becoming inquisitor Wardens banished Gaspard+Briala rule Morrigan drinks the well Hardened Leliana as Divine
Main reason to chose leliana comes from her quote when u ask her why she support mages “ i can also kill people yet i am free and they are not”
Leliana's reasonings are deep and a little dark! Sometimes a lot dark. I love her dialogues in the game

Also, Vivienne is black
Why anyone chooses Vivienne is beyond me
"Some people just want to see the world Burn" Alfred Pennyworth
I saved once just to see the ending of her being devine and I hated it lol

Truly this video showed my personal biases. Thank you for watching and giving thoughtful feedback!
do I lose Leliana in the war room if I choose her as the divine?
she will be there unless you begin the Tresspasser DLC. Trespasser kicks off a 2-year timeskip. thanks for checking out the video!

I was about to pick Vivienne lol

As for best world state im thinking:
-----
Allied with the mages
Said "I will do it because its right" when becoming inquisitor
Wardens banished
Gaspard+Briala rule
Morrigan drinks the well
Hardened Leliana as Divine
i completely disagree. but i'm role playing as an inquisitor who's an andrastian
Also disagree with the entire list but I don't think either is bad
