Ow. So Dorian is supposed to be the fire mage. I always make him be the electric mage, because of the "sparkles" nickname. Even so I always find the Necromancer skills stacks with the Inferno panic skills. But now I'm too used with Dorian's lightnings and Solas's flames.
I find that Solas works best with fire, because its got hard hitting attacks that need crowd control that holds enemies in one spot. Rift mage does that. Viv is usually a strait up creation mage, increasing barrier potency can make the barrier you gain on hit much better, and to top it off she tanky as hell and doesn't take much aggro from peaceful aura. Tho I do use some ice for utility. Dorian is usually a lightning mage because fear works well with static cage. And that fire spells in general require enemies to be still (Especially fire mine). But honestly go with what suits you.
As Josephine says when you tell her you don't actually revive people, people are ignorant. It makes sense Cole not likining it much because it can be used to bind spirits but será or Blackwell are just ignorant
Cassandra has bad memories of it, Josephine doesn't want your reputation to take a hit from committing taboo, Sera kinda hates mages in general for the hell of it, Blackwall thinks you are a necrophiliac, Cole doesn't like other spirits getting jammed into corpses and Solas is mostly okay with it.
Am I the only one who thinks it would be freaking awesome to have a Reaver companion that went slightly mad, and had scales and dragony things in Dragon Age 4? Like, I dunno, maybe you meet them because there's a Bad Guy™ using them in exchange for dragon blood? Maybe after you defeat the baddie, you can recruit this person and as the story and your relationship with them progresses, you can help them with their addiction? Perhaps also cleanse their blood so they don't go totally nuts? Or be a douchebag and give them more dragon blood so they are more powerful? I think I spent too much time thinking about this...
Well, there is a theory that Qnaris were once elfs that, similar to the golems, were a war weapon that went bad. Maybe the tevinter imperium or even the elfs gave dragon blood to some elfs, that eventually went crazy. Would explain why IronBull is a raver, and why Qnaris are known for being violent and the Tal-Vashot mostly crazy and wild
There was actually a fanfiction I wrote a while back that had a character who was born into a family of Reaver cultists. She was forced through the rituals as a child, and was the only one of ten children her age to survive. Her willpower and anger attracted the attentions of a Rage demon, that attempted to possess her, but she overpowered it and subjugated it within her mind. Unfortunately, the result of going through so much shit so quickly left her with massive brain trauma, rendering her barely able to speak, and subject to violent tendencies from her inner demons (literally). Luckily, she finds her place with a group of other misfits that keep her sane. If I can find the stories I wrote, I'll be happy to post a link.
I wish there was more banter for the assassin spec. I thought there might be more comments from Josefine for every spec, but no. Or even your current romantic partner or companion with the highest approval rating or anyone else within your class, or even with the same spec. Varric: Inquisitor, I heard a little bird say you're an assassin now. Sera: You like sneaking up on people, yeah? Come in handy for pranks. Cole: You're like me. Hidden in shadow and then strike into the light. Josefine: People might get wary about the Inquisition's leader being a man/woman hidden in shadow.
"Hello, Inquisitor. Look at your Templar, now back to me, now back at your Templar, now back to _me._ Sadly, they aren't me. But by ingesting dragon's blood, they could _smell_ like they're me. Look down, back up, where are you? You're in the Storm Coast, with the Reaver your Templar could smell like. What's in your hand? I have it, it's two Amulets of Power meant for you. Everything is better when you choose the path of the Reaver and not a Templar, *I'm on a deer."*
I kind of wish there were more opportunities to snub the chantry side of knight enchanter. I picked that role on my Inquisitor mostly because I really like how it plays, but also because He's Dalish, and learning the path of the arcane warriors felt right for an elven inquisitor. I was so happy solas commented on it. But I kinda wish I could have told the more chantry sympathetic characters a more definitive "fuck off, I picked this one because I'm an elf".
Sera's dialogue is always so interesting. Most of our companions are 'special' people in some way, the average everyday peasant types working the fields aren't exactly going to be members of our parties, and as a Robin Hood figure she's the closest we ever really get to them. She speaks for the average person that we're fighting to protect more than any of the other companions. 'Most people are scared, there's lots of mages here, but most never see ONE. Never. You're weird. And I know you, so you're not scary. But a lot of people don't know you. I don't want you to be just a scary mage.' 'I don't understand that stuff, it's scary for anyone smart enough to think for a second. You shouldn't be scary, you're the Inquisitor.' The line 'it's not an arrow, you don't get to point it' is particularly insightful in a way I wasn't expecting from her. Overall she's saying you don't have any control over how people view you once you do something and put it out into the world; you have to consider your actions carefully in your position, certain forms of magic are especially scary to the average person, and practicing a form of magic that frightens them may harm the reputation of the whole organization.
She voices both Dagna and Bianca. Since there's A LOT of people are in this game, they can't hire so many actors. So like The Elder Scrolls, they voice multiple characters.
I really like to imagine my Inquisitor joined the Templars after the main story because it’s implied you could join, and then have Trespasser start while he’s on leave from his duties and he’d get the injury and have to resign.
I miss Arcane Warrior. Loved wading into battle and going "Ha ha!" as they tried to do any significant damage before I killed them. Even Flemeth kept swiping at me and did almost nothing.
Nathan Rivers yeah, it’s not as well explained in inquisition. They actually show people going mad from it in origins. They also show that red lyrium drives you crazy faster. It’s why dwarves have to mine lyrium. They are resistant to it and magic as a whole. I don’t want to spoil it for you, but Cullen has a story with lyrium addiction as well. It actually ties to the Templar story as a whole. Tho according to casandra the first step of becoming a seeker is the Templar stuff. However, the seekers don’t need lyrium to do the stuff Templar’s do. Which makes the Templar’s seen unnecessary.
Every time I hear her voice lines, I'm reminded of just how Orlesian she is. Whenever you agree, it's a "hell yes", but every other time, the most common words out of my mouth are "Fuck off, Vivienne." She's always just... too SMOOTH. She adapts to any change like every conversation is ice skating, and always comes out on top. It just irritates me beyond belief that Vivienne can't be outsmarted in a conversation.
arcane warriors in origins: armour clad chads capable of weilding giant 2 handed swords... arcane warriors in inquisition: medium armour is too heavy for me
I was really disappointed that they out Necromancer instead of Blood Mage. At any rate, i Would like to have a companion that uses blood magic and that is looked bad by almost everyone. I Would love Jowan As a companion in Dragon Age 4. It will Never happen, i Know but i still think that Would be cool.
Jowen is probably dead. But it is likely that blood magic will make a come back since it takes place in tevinter. While it's publicly denounced and probably illegal. Magisters used it.
Aha. I don't think it's a good idea for the herald to be a blood mage. lol plus, there's not a chance in hell Josephine, Leliana, Cassandra or Cullen would agree to finding a blood mage trainer x
interesting that solas talks about arcane warriors like it's a completely lost art when a warden amell/surana can become one. it's in an elvhen ruin in the brecillian forest, but still.
To be fair, there's no internet in theadas- and the Warden does find the knowledge by speaking to soul trapped in a jar in a lost elven ruin. Besides the Knight Enchanters- who are likely disinclined to acknowledge the ties to the ancient elves- Only a handful of Dalish clans, the inquisitor, one reclusive warden (and maybe two or three of their mage friends), and Solas himself- it's likely that the wider world has absolutely no idea that the techniques were invented by the ancient elves. It's a bit like how people will say stuff like "Hi man" "thanks, man" "sure thing, man" without ever realising that it entered the popular culture lexicon because predominantly black jazz enthusiasts and musicians started calling eachother "man" as a response to being called "boy" all the time by wider society. It survived, sure, but barely anyone really knows why.
I wish Rangers still existed! I miss my Master Puppers and Sir Bearington (yes unnamed my summons, don’t judge). But I like to think my warden as the “Master” of it and has some legendary summons or something.
Those are awesome names. And your Warden will probably be the one who is going to bring back Griffons, just saying. (Keep one egg for Merrill. She'll call him "feather")
@@Contevent There's a book (The Last Flight) where some wardens from Weisshaupt (or whatever it's name is) that had something to say about griffons. PD: I name mine as Finnegan and Messere Pointy-Face.
King Maric was "Reaver" (empowered by drinking dragon blood = reaver?) according to the comic... and Alistair have dragon blood in his veins as well. Its awesome spec... I am glad my Warden drinked "Andraste" blood :) I would play as a Warrior instead of a Mage if I would know that they can be Reavers but it was too late to change and noone will force me to suffer this boring gameplay (Story is fine) again :P And this Cassandra/Bull talk about scales and stuff... its clear as day that Qunari was Elven Reavers :P
It's really weird but none of my companions (except Sera and Vivienne) have reacted to me becoming a Knight-Enchanter. I had expected that Solas would react to but i dont know how to trigger it xD
Why was Blood mage not added and why was my Hawke (a fuckin blood mage in 2) suddenly clutching her pearls at the thought of Grey wardens using blood magic?
Varric: right, so it would be a Bad Thing for this Chantry-adjacent organisation (as much as they tell everyone they aren't, they're literally led by two Hands of the former Divine and a Templar) to have a Herald that's a blood mage, or for them to learn that you, Hawke, are a blood mage, because that's Immediate Persecution On Sight, especially with Corypheus and his cronies shifting into Blood Magic Ancient Tevinter Magisters mode, so like... can you lie for a bit? Hawke: right, Varric, hang on-- khm. BLAH BLAH, THE HORRORS OF BLOOD MAGIC! THE PRESSURE OF THE WORLD THINKING ALL APOSTATES ARE BLOOD MAGES!.. sounds good? Varric, already both hands in thumbs up: perfect! now keep the story straight, I apparently lied *so bad* about Orsino that everyone keeps questioning me about it, and we both know that Orsino turning into that monster from ghost stories about Amgarrak was *not* what happened
I've been an arcane enchanter and an assassin. I have not been a warrior but I was thinking of being a reaver in my first run. Then when I do another run-through of all three classes, I'll try tempest, Templar, and Rift Mage.
I've been the enchanter, an assassin, and a tempest. Of all of those, I think I like the tempest the most. If I ever play a Warrior, I might do Templar or Champeion.
same, I recruit her but I barely talk to her at all, especially as a Dalish elf she constantly mocking or insulting my culture makes me want to slap her, I find her stupid and annoying.

Ow. So Dorian is supposed to be the fire mage. I always make him be the electric mage, because of the "sparkles" nickname. Even so I always find the Necromancer skills stacks with the Inferno panic skills. But now I'm too used with Dorian's lightnings and Solas's flames.
I never realized people had specialties. Solas became ice and barrier support and I also specced Dorian into lightning
How would you rate Rift Mage with _Spirit_ or _Lightning_ spells?
No matter what specs you go for mages always better put 4 poijts intonsupport tree for shield and lower aggro
I let them auto level-up and Dorian always goes for the fire spells
Why does everyone gotta get creeped out by me being a necromancer? I don’t see them complaining when I reanimate a giant to help us fight.
Quite insensitive and dense to your surroundings, aren't you?
Many of the trainers are so full of themselfs or their abilities. It's funny how Varric dis Three-eye.
My favourite trainer is "Your Trainer" XD.

@@amberhernandez If you do find it, please share it! I'm interested :)

(Solas on necromancy)
Why did you choose such a esoteric area of study?
I just wanted a goth inquisitor.
16:00 love Bull's reaction to the Inquisitor smelling like a dragon
Knowing who Solas is and what he did makes the game even better^^
I wish there was more banter for the assassin spec. I thought there might be more comments from Josefine for every spec, but no. Or even your current romantic partner or companion with the highest approval rating or anyone else within your class, or even with the same spec.
Varric: Inquisitor, I heard a little bird say you're an assassin now.
Sera: You like sneaking up on people, yeah? Come in handy for pranks.
Cole: You're like me. Hidden in shadow and then strike into the light.
Josefine: People might get wary about the Inquisition's leader being a man/woman hidden in shadow.
"I'm only surprised you didn't kill someone walking over here" 😂
I love how Iron Bull makes Reaver sound like it's just an Old Spice commercial 😆
p..p..p..p p p-power
"Hello, Inquisitor. Look at your Templar, now back to me, now back at your Templar, now back to _me._ Sadly, they aren't me. But by ingesting dragon's blood, they could _smell_ like they're me. Look down, back up, where are you? You're in the Storm Coast, with the Reaver your Templar could smell like. What's in your hand? I have it, it's two Amulets of Power meant for you. Everything is better when you choose the path of the Reaver and not a Templar, *I'm on a deer."*
@@Crimson_Sun2486 this is fucking hilarious, thank you
Vivienne is the snob loving rich aunt I never had
I have decided! On my next play, I will definitely be a reaver and romance Iron Bull.
"I want to take the hardest blow an enemy can give me, look into his eye, and LAUGH"
Cullen sounds so done with this templar shit
I kind of wish there were more opportunities to snub the chantry side of knight enchanter.
I picked that role on my Inquisitor mostly because I really like how it plays, but also because He's Dalish, and learning the path of the arcane warriors felt right for an elven inquisitor. I was so happy solas commented on it.
But I kinda wish I could have told the more chantry sympathetic characters a more definitive "fuck off, I picked this one because I'm an elf".
Bull's reaction to the inquisitor going reaver is priceless, so turned on!
I don't want you to be just a scary mage.'
'I don't understand that stuff, it's scary for anyone smart enough to think for a second. You shouldn't be scary, you're the Inquisitor.'
The line 'it's not an arrow, you don't get to point it' is particularly insightful in a way I wasn't expecting from her.
Overall she's saying you don't have any control over how people view you once you do something and put it out into the world; you have to consider your actions carefully in your position, certain forms of magic are especially scary to the average person, and practicing a form of magic that frightens them may harm the reputation of the whole organization.
as I understand from cole, necromancy is like spirit abortions.
I just realized Bianca is voiced by Laura Bailey, how did I not notice before
Niamh Corrigan most people just found that character really weak and annoying since it was created just for her to have a couple of lines
Yep and Morrigan is voiced by Claudia Black.
Yeah, and Krem is Female Shepard.
@@varric This I wasn't aware of! The more you know.
"It's always best to take charge, my dear." Vivienne is such an ENTJ and I'm here for it.

I wish Tempest had gotten more than just the one nod, but I did think it was the best conversational overall.
blackwalls got different responses on the mortalitasi part depending on your relationship with him, how interesting. i never knew
This video is 8 years old but i just realized that Sera is constantly doing it to em
I miss Arcane Warrior. Loved wading into battle and going "Ha ha!" as they tried to do any significant damage before I killed them. Even Flemeth kept swiping at me and did almost nothing.
The Arcane Warriors are goddamm OP. Combine them with Battlemage and you're a Walking Apocalipse.
@@varric Yup. That's exactly what I did. Add on Spirit Healer and "Lmao, okay."
I romanced Cullen and he did not like the fact of me becoming a Templar :/
That's weird
Nathan Rivers lyrium makes you go mad. That’s why he got upset
@@conradkorbol oh, thank you.
@@conradkorbol Also, I'll choose Mages over Templars since you said that.
4:15 I feel Solas was like: “yeah! Those abilities are what I’ve perfected my magic to overcome so I could be on top!”
"Are you a Reaver?"
Bull: Nah
Me unlocking dragon rage: "Aight then Bull"
Imagine a Blood Mage Specialisation comments
But Dorian doesn’t say anything about you becoming a Necromancer?
Well it's obvious for him that the best would follow his trail :D
Fuck I miss the origins specializations. That bear did most of my tanking

Inquisitor: what can you tell me about the arcane warriors?
Solas: WOAH WOAH INQUISITOR ONE QUESTION AT A TIME! 🙌🏻 😂
When I'm necromancing everyone's dancing
...well except for the party
Cole reminds me of the male version of drusilla from Buffy the vampire slayer and angel in the ways they communicate their thoughts.
I liked Cole's laugh at 1:10 ! Cute❤️
Huh... That's a rather interesting thing to note. Templars permeate the scent of Ozone, similar to a lightning strike. Quite intriguing. .3.
I’m playing an Assassin right now and your thumbnail just gave me a great idea. Thanks.
arcane warriors in origins: armour clad chads capable of weilding giant 2 handed swords...
arcane warriors in inquisition: medium armour is too heavy for me
dialogue from Sera is always gold
@@MyEyesWithin well the big issues like Dorian said people have a tendency of confusing blood magic with sacrificial Magic
Dude, you're leading an Andrastrian organization. It would obliterate your standing if Blood Mage is allowed.
Iron Bull, always awesome.
interesting that solas talks about arcane warriors like it's a completely lost art when a warden amell/surana can become one. it's in an elvhen ruin in the brecillian forest, but still.
Doesn't Cullen have specific dialog with a romance warrior with a templar trait?

I'm still surprised there was no comment from Doran or Cullwn aboute going necromancer, while blackwall seemed to care.
Or at least have a mabari as a companion you can summon like you could as a ranger.

Iron Bull is still my favorite character, he's so straightforward. Everything he comments is amazing.
My favorite is Knight Enchanter! 🔮
Its so OP. When playing nightmare mode I would solo everything lol 😆
"Ancient lying whispers." Oh. _oH._ Fuck.

King Maric was "Reaver" (empowered by drinking dragon blood = reaver?) according to the comic... and Alistair have dragon blood in his veins as well.
Its awesome spec... I am glad my Warden drinked "Andraste" blood :)
I would play as a Warrior instead of a Mage if I would know that they can be Reavers but it was too late to change and noone will force me to suffer this boring gameplay (Story is fine) again :P
And this Cassandra/Bull talk about scales and stuff... its clear as day that Qunari was Elven Reavers :P
It's really weird but none of my companions (except Sera and Vivienne) have reacted to me becoming a Knight-Enchanter. I had expected that Solas would react to but i dont know how to trigger it xD
The most fucked up thing I ever did was romance Cullen and then go into the Templar specialization. I am downright terrible.
Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
