  • In this video, I break down Coinbase vs Robinhood. Coinbase and Robinhood are two of the most popular places to buy bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, so I compare the two brokerages head to head in this video.

First, I take a look at the fees of Coinbase vs Robinhood. Coinbase has a complicated fee structure that includes a spread fee, a flat fee, and a variable fee. Generally, the more crypto you buy, the less you will pay as a percentage of your total transaction. Buying a small amount of bitcoin on Coinbase will make the fees pretty bad.
Robinhood is known for free investing but there is a catch. Depending on how you purchase or sell your cryptocurrency, you could be slapped with a fee. That fee, speaking from experience, is about 1%. In this video, I explain how you can avoid this crypto trading fee on Robinhood.
Second, I discuss the features of Robinhood vs Coinbase. Coinbase has more details and information as well as way more cryptocurrencies available. On Coinbase, you can buy bitcoin, ethereum, dogecoin, cardano, xrp, litecoin, and polkadot, along with many others. Robinhood does not offer as many cryptocurrencies.
There is one big downside with using Robinhood to buy crypto, and that is that you cannot transfer it to any other exchanges or to your own wallet. This is one major aspect to look at when it comes to Robinhood vs Coinbase.
Third, I break down the mobile apps of Coinbase vs Robinhood. Both apps are great and made for beginners. The Coinbase app is easy to navigate and it has a lot of metrics and details like the market cap. Robinhood has better charts though, in my opinion.
Last, I examine the security of Coinbase vs Robinhood. Both are very popular brokerages and seem to be very secure. However, you can never know for sure and have to be careful. Both are FDIC insured and are publicly traded companies as well. In the end, it's always safest to use your own wallet.
Overall, this video was made to explain investing for beginners and go over Coinbase vs Robinhood. Nothing in this video should be taken as financial advice, or any kind of advice. This video and everything I say in it is meant for informational and entertainment purposes only. Facts may or may not be true and could change after posting the video.

This video is outdated, you can now send crypto on Robinhood to other accounts. I would edit the video if I were you or take it down since it would be misleading information

Invest in a secure platform and broker where you will not lose your funds. I'm new to trading, but i met Mr. Steven Kurt here on TH-cam where he teaches people to trade forex and stocks. which he guides me with a super platform and amazing strategy. I thought it was a scam, but finally I cashed my first $20,000 profit last week, he is very reliable and honest,he always tells me the actual time for buying and selling with 100 profit from his one-on-one master training...Stay bless

Coinbase is safer. Robinhood is faster and cheaper to trade. I dislike Robinhood, but their speed wins unless someone has a huge holding of bitcoin.

For sure. Coinbase’s fees are a pain but so is the transfer problem with Robinhood
