Wow confused, coinbase exchange is high fees but trying okx wallet it's rinsed me of Eth on fees which are high and fluctuate even higher at certain times plus when you convert you don't always get a good deal so loose coins too but not on exchange

OK I am moving my bitcoin Balance to Coinbase Wallet. Is this safer? I am not crazy about the idea of moving it to a separate cold storage because of the nature of hardware. It could get scratched or damaged in some way . That seems very vulnerable to me.

Just watched this video but coinbase wallet is now allowing you to buy directly on there from your card or bank transfer. Does this mean its no longer decentralised?

So if you put your crypto in the wallet is it still going up and down (earning or not) or do you only use the wallet if you want send coin to someone? I downloaded the wallet but I want the crypto to keep making money. Idk if that makes any sense or not hopefully it does. Like if you leave the coin in the wallet will it still go up and down based on the price?
It’ll always be tied to what the current price of the coin is so yes it’s value will fluctuate in your wallet

The crypto in the wallet does not seem to grow and fluctuate as it does on the exchange. Thus, it is not growing.
I saw the same crypto on my exchange higher than the same one in my wallet.
You would think then that if the ine that is tied to the market explodes your same crypto on the wallet would not.
And, if i did not even have some of the same on the exchange. I'd not even know the ones in my wallet increased. Cause I'd not see it on the exchange. Please help. Why chance not gaining the growth as on the exchange. Yet, there not have ownership of my keys.

So, Is crypto stored in the Coinbase wallet subject to the same possible fate as crypto stored on the Coinbase exchange should they go bankrupt, or are assets stored the Coinbase wallet unreachable by Coinbase?

Love your video it was very helpful, I’m new to crypto, so I have a question. If I use crypto wallet to purchase crypto that are now in my wallet, if I buy it for 1$ but it’s now up to $5 does the crypto in my wallet also grow, or once it’s in my wallet it just sits there same price I paid for it?
And if it just sits there and it’s not growing , what’s the point of buying it with a wallet if your investment is not gonna increase in value?
The crypto in your wallet will also grow. If it's not connected to the internet, it will appear as the same price but you can always sell your crypto at market price.

I am attempting to withdraw my funds from Coinbase wallet and it’s asking to pay up front a handling fee. I can’t reach my funds until this is paid. Is that normal ? TIA
The only fee to withdraw from cooinbase wallet should be the trading fee you have to pay to send it back to the regular Coinbase app.
@@bon_jenn they have called it a withdraw fee and they charged 10% of what I made. If it’s not paid after 72 hours it increments 1% per day. Is that normal ? Or am I being scammed ?
