Although they’re not too popular with Cl. 56 fans, its good to see the 69s spreading out across the network. I hope they’ll prove a good investment for GBRf and that people will eventually be glad that those 56s that were rotting away have been turned into reliable, clean and economically-productive locos with their own character. GBRf are also doing their best to make each one an individual which, in some cases, preserves a look from the olden days.

Thanks Stephen. The Appleby stop was quite long. I would have had a fourth clip on the WCML but I was late getting to Salterwath and missed it by 5 minutes! Went across to Culgaith not realising it would be delayed at Penrith. I could have caught it north of there. Ah well.
