Another superb video Les some awesome footage there matey , great coverage of the traffic with lots of good veriety, and i bit of a late night for you Les 🤣 lol bet you slept well my friend 😄 and thanks for sharing take care a t b, 👍 syd
Hi Les Quite a bit of freight traffic in this one, good stuff. I guess you will be going to the Station on Saturday (15th July), for the 'specials' although I don't know if they are steam or not, hopefully I may be at Crewe for them (apparently one is changing locos at Crewe, 1Z84 Colchester - Carlisle). Thanks
Thanks Peter. Yes apparently two - both from Crewe. Both steam although the Colchester on returns via Newcastle Diesel hauled. Cant find timings for the other but we shall see!
@@LeslieGilpinRailways Off RTT, 1Z30 is an 12.40 arrival into Carlisle, 1Z84 is an 16.40 arrival into Carlisle and apparently there is a light loco arrival (0Z86) around 18.08 into Carlisle, hope this helps
That one I doubt as DRS only have one or two operational I believe. This one is based at York for use on branches with weight restrictions. West Coast and Locomotive Services 37s are more likely.
Good catches Leslie. Wanna ask is Ugly Betty 812 now part of the route as last year she was doing 6V46 Westbury to Bescot either via Warwick or Coventry then come back as 6M28 to Westbury via Warwick.
Your welcome bud. Keep it up and if you see 390013 it's a fond favourite of mine due to the name. It's my second homes name plus a former Blackpool tram was named the Blackpool belle before withdrawn late 50s
Thanks for posting great variety of liveries enjoyed
Glad you enjoyed it
Brilliant train video Leslie Gilpin Railways

Thanks Leslie. A lot of raw strength and power on show.
Sure is! Thanks for watching
Nice one les liked the evening freight stuff and fav. Loco 37401👍
Thanks! It was good to take advantage of the light evening.

Glad you enjoyed it! It was a fun evening
Great filming. I love it when you get the close up of the goods trains as they go by, (especially the trucks). Very unusual views xx
Thank you very much!
Superb variety Les!
Thanks!
As always Leslie great videos I really enjoy them when I cannot sleep thank you.
Thanks
Great video footage ❤Leslie ,Perfect day out 👏
Thanks!
Great catches you got Leslie. Plenty of good varieties i think Carlisle is getting busier for freight traffic 👍
Thanks. It has its moments for sure, although spread across the day.
Nice video Leslie greatly done fantastic share 👍🏻🚂😎
Thanks Mike
Bom dia lelie lindo trem show
Thanks!
Evening running added extra atmosphere👍
Glad you enjoyed that!
That banner repeater is years old !! Nice videos !
Probably from resignalling in 1972/ 3 along with many signals still remaining (being slowly replaced)
Another great video Leslie plus its nice to see some off the track lol still need the track cutters there.
We get used to it, sad as it seems. Thanks for watching

@@peterjackson-cheadleheath1182 I need to check RTT again for Saturday and Sunday!
Top quality does the class 37 ever come to runcorn?

if this is a representative sample then carlisle is a good place to watch trains even if your a steam buff like me
Have a look at the steam videos. Generally even with steam I try and give a variety for context. Thanks for watching

Plus just to say I was at work but it's close to the railway line 68034 was heading south with small wagons to Eastleigh Arlington earlier on.
70812 seems to be the regular loco on the Log train to Chirk these days. Thanks for watching!

Notice you always have a resident seagull around. Lol
There are dozens of them. And the young ones are learning fend for themselves with their parents protecting them fiercely!
Seems to be a lot of wheel squeal. A spot of WD 40 perhaps😊
It's very noticeable when standing against the curved track! You'd think they'd have flange greasers. Alternatively the trains are going too fast
Do Mail trains stop at Carlisle these days?
Sadly not. There aren't many places where mail is handled these days.
@@LeslieGilpinRailways Thanks Leslie, gone long ago when I worked S09, P46 or M44. Thanks for sharing.
