As a student pharmacist, I’m so excited for this video! 👩🏻‍⚕️💉🧬🦠
Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 that was so good! I’m always shocked at how well you present information in layman’s terms yet also adding in the technical jargon too! Hopefully poliovirus will be the next eradicated disease!!! Only 2 countries remaining I believe (Afghanistan and Pakistan).

I'm a Biotech student and all that you mentioned in this video was taught to me but watching someone like you talked abt it in a different way just consolidates and solidify my knowledge, if that makes sense 😆

Hi Holly, I could listen to you all day. I was a Bio NatSci back in 2000 with a significant interest in cancer and finding a cure back then. I can’t believe I still understand everything you said, I moved to a totally different field when I graduated (ones and zeros). I’ve been reminiscing of late on YT, found you and your channel and that you are studying an MSc in cancer. You mentioned something about cancer vaccines at the beginning, my jaw dropped. Would love to see a vid on this and latest knowledge of cancer. Send me some articles that are worth reading if you have any to hand. Love the energy, Chris

Thanks for explaining this subject to an amateur scientist. I am interested in all aspects of science and unfortunately we don't always learn from mistakes made because the majority of humanity want a solution to those viruses and diseases outside of veganism which is actually part of the solution. I also believe that part of the solution is beyond human ability.

can you explain how can this lipid nanoparticles are made ? and how the mrna can espace the edosome during edoncytosis ? how can this mrna can survive to arrive to the ribosome with all this complicated cellular mechanism that degredates all in small components ? there's an article on NATURE which say that the delivery system is not perfect and the major of this material does not pass the endosome to reach the destination... what do you think about it ?

Question!! So because the mRNA vaccines are a 2 dose vaccine, does that mean Dose 1 generates the primary immune response, and Dose 2 generates the secondary immune response. I have heard dose 2 “hits harder” and you are more likely to have symptoms after receiving dose 2. Or am I wrong and both doses generate primary immune response? 🤔 thank you for this video it’s amazing! I learned so much 😁👍🏻

Think _"stimulus -------> reaction."_ The initial dose triggers an initial immunological reaction which causes some antibody generation to occur. Yet mRNA vaccines like recombinant ones are not highly "immunogenetic". So while they will trigger a reaction it will not necessarily be a strong enough one to cause sufficient antibody generation to occur. So as a rule the stronger the reaction the greater the amount of antibody generation + the higher the likelihood affinity cell formation will occur to insure prolonged IgG antibody generation going forward. Conversely the milder the exposure/reaction the shorter the duration of antibody generation.
So mRNA/recombinant vaccines require multiple doses to elicit sufficient antibody generation - BUT - because they are less immunogenetic compared to an active virus replicating in the body = they are usually better tolerated. You can achieve good antibody generation with say an attenuated vaccine - but the potential side effects are usually harsher. So it is a trade-off whereby you are exchanging multiple doses for milder side effects. Subsequent exposures - read doses - are tantamount to "booster shots" whose purpose is to re-stimulate that initial immune reaction to generate a stronger response to boost your antibody levels.

so nicely explained! I have one question though if mRNA vaccines can be disguised to look like our own, can an artificially created pathogen be disguised too? Will that be difficult to fight?

why do I have to get vaccinated even though I have already recovered from covid? This is a bit strange to me, especially the 'vaccine' passport. Can't I just show my previous positive PCR test to prove my immunity?
