    They look so angelic in their uniforms and it was nice to see in the photographs the occassional soldier looking at them and not the camera. I'm sure this experience taught them much of real life instead of living in their bubble. It was sad to know that Olga had discovered what their fate would likely turn out to be. Thank you for this small piece from history. Kris.🇦🇺

    After studying thoroughly History, it is crystal clear to me that good people have no place in governments. God save the Romanovs Royal Martyrs' pure souls that didn't deserve such a cruel fate.

    • @br7994

      Goverments need efficient people, not good people. "Good" isn't the qualification to lead a government. Romanovs were absolutely incompetent. Nicholas II had no business running a country.

      @@br7994 I totally agree. Niccolo Machiavelli, the father of modern politics, once said "one connot be a good christian and an effective leader at the same time.

    Beautiful pictures! I always thought that it was a public relations exercise, but when you the learn the truth it shows the true integrity and pureness of the sisters and the great values instilled by their parents especially their mother, poor Alexandra. Nursing horibly maimed soldiers was certainly no easy work and it seems to have had a lasting impact on Olga, although Tatyana showed what a rock she was. I also get the feeling that they connected with the ordinary russian soldiers perhaps better than their aristocratic social class.
    This to me is what real leadership is all about, being where the people are suffering. I also think that the faimily took a certain sort of responsibility for that terrible war, although it wasnt really theirs or even Russias fault. Before the war started, during the July crisis Nicholas tried to resolve the dispute with telegrams to Kaiser Wilhelm. It was a terrible catastrophe which they couldnt stop.

    • @joseeduardotschen9186
      @joseeduardotschen9186 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Actually, some of the girls fell in love with the soldiers because it was new to them and the soldiers were like exotic creatures from far away lands of Russia. Also they hardly had contact with their social equals. In social gatherings they didn’t know how to act around them, so they fraternized more with the guards and soldiers.

    Many people may not realize that the Grand Duchess Olga lived and died in Toronto, Canada (on Gerrard Street East). I lived around the corner from where she had lived, but I did not know of her apartment until many years later. What a change, living above a humble barbershop, from the grand palaces. This film clip is very interesting. I had read about this but had not seen it in video format until now. Thank you for providing this.

    • @RomanovRoyalMartyrs
      @RomanovRoyalMartyrs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      The truth is that the people, the normal people, did not have anything against their Royal family. It was all the doing of the nobility. They are the ones who caused the coup.

    • @joseeduardotschen9186
      @joseeduardotschen9186 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Maybe the Romanovs didn’t abuse them, but the nobility and elite as said the TRRM, also factory owners, farm owners, landlords, etc. After all, remember that Nicholas II was the head of state which represents the whole country (the good, the bad and the ugly). Plus millions of deaths of WWI. Understandably people were tired of the situation and wanted change.

    • @br7994
      @br7994 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It was the responsibility of the King to ensure that the country works properly and people are happy. If nobility was bad, they should have controlled them. Personally, they must have been good people. But none of it matters if people suffer under their watch.

      @@RomanovRoyalMartyrs I would love to have a copy of that book. Tsar Nicholas II may have made mistakes in his reign but he was a good, decent man that didn't deserve the hate that got heaped on him. Everyone wanted him to abdicate but look what they got in return? Someone worse, much worse. I have a sister in law who's first generation American and her mother was from Russia and her father was Czech. They could tell stories of pre- and post-World War II Russia and everything that was going on. Sadly her mom died a few years before the fall of communism so didn't get to see Mother Russia return. 🇷🇺

    No wonder the mother (Tsarina) and the two oldest sisters (duchess) were trained nurses during world war one, dealing with the real-world caring for those injured soldiers on the fount, instead of stuck around the palace of their dream world of their own lives living the luxury.

And instead the family hires me to be their advisor, since they found me to be more powerful and better influence than Rasputin.

    The world needs more monarchies and Royal families that rule over their subjects, to serve the best interests of their own kind. It is heartwarming that the Romanovs story and truths are being taught again. Living in the UK i fear my Royal Family will soon face extinction if certain selfish political forces continue to rule in government. It happened in Romania also, how sad it is that because of communist hatred Romania lost its own Royal Family. Please continue to honour the Name of the Romanov Family in the way you have done so.

    This is royalty and monarchy at its strong and beautiful point of view, and an often hidden view. Socialism and Communism has narrowed our view towards those with power and wealth, as if they cannot be or do good unles they share their wealth. Little do people understand that care, love and brotherhood/sistership is an much more valueable and an demanded need from the most vulnerable in our society.
    Ask any medical professional why being "poor" isn't an disease or symptom; because human suffering, both mental and physically, does not erupt from being poor. Some will argue that living in an "poor environment" will make you more vulnerable towards suffering, however many places in Africa and elsewhere in the world will disagree. It is not money that decides if an environment is poor or rich, but the people participating in it.
