The Romanov children were extraordinary in their ordinariness. Despite being born in one of the highest and most enviable positions in the world, and having access to all possible worldly goods, they lived and were brought up like ordinary children.

The romanov children are beautiful in each way. Each grew more beautiful as they grew. They so innocent. I don't understand why any one would do such a horrible act to them.

Beautifully & compassionately done. Although, I’m not Russian or Christain ( but am very human), I love them for such love for their family, their country, and their faith. The Czar & Czarina were role model parents, citizens, and leaders. The World is more transparent now, and let the facts be known

I wanted to say that I'm very thankful for all of your videos about the Romanovs. I've been interested in their story since I was 11. Now , I'm 15, almost 16 and just found my new favorite TH-cam channel.
I'm from Poland and most of my friends at school are very critical of anything Russian ( Thinking about nowadays ' situation I can't blame them, but I'm even more grateful that despite it you still didn't gave up on telling the true story of Romanovs) Unfortunately, I have no one to share these topics with and talk about it...

The Saxe Coburg Gothas in England - George V & Nicholas II - were first cousins refused the Romanovs sanctuary. They were afraid the Bolsheviks would target England for revolution.

Out of all the documentaries I've watched about the Russian royal children, this one is the very best. I actually learned a few things about the children that I didn't know before watching this video. Beautiful pictures of beautiful and innocent children that didn't deserve their fate.

The need for a male heir compelled the Emperor and Empress to conceive children until a boy was born. This destroyed Alexandria's health and is why she looks so tired in most of her later photographs.
She had a bad back and having children made it worse. She was probably in pain. She was always sitting or in a wheelchair.
Add the fact that Alexander III forgot to prepare his son to be a leader.

Hello! I really want to thank this beautiful channel for sharing wonderful and truthful videos about these Saints. One thing very striking about all the Royal Family is the angelic beauty of their characters and faces, and the purity of their life, and their exceptional friendliness to all people, let alone their simplicity and relatability to the simplest of people. It is also a very needed and excellent thing that St. Nicholas II strengthened the education of children, especially based on Church principles and did much for the Church.
The Romanov Royal Martyrs book is a very exceptional project; it is written in a most engaging way, with pictures scattered throughout to keep the reader connected to the family as well as their contexts. One thing that stands out about this book is that it is written in the Orthodox Christian context, tracing their lives through the eyes of the Saints. It gives an objective viewpoint, does not paint an exaggerated colour of the Royal Family, but rather lets us journey with them in an authentic and spiritual relationship. I also love the icons of them depicted, as well as their Apolyitikion.
I know this may be a crazy question, but is there any Royal Martyr book published in the Arabic language (any Orthodox perspective ones especially)? Thank you kindly.

To this day I have trouble watching movies that romantize the fate of the Romanovs. Like the movies about Anastasia. They all died a horrible death whilst being really young. From what I gather Alexej had he been born in modern times, could have led a reasonable normal life with the help of medicines. But at that time no medicine was available. And at the time of his death he already basically was an invalid

Thank You, for this wonderful Documentary about the Romanov's Children, & Especially about Thier upbringing & Family Life. Being a Child of the Fifty's, Myself or the Baby Boomer Generation. When I was going through, the last Couple Year's of Elementary School, then Junior High, on into Highschool, in Canada.
At First in Social Studies Classes, then in Electives Classes, as they were Called then. We we're Taught at Each Stage, or Level, more & more about the Importance of, World History & Affairs Were. And how it Effected, Not Only that Given Country of Studies, Origins & it's Consequences, or it's Evolution in the Previous Time's or Current Era?
This was in the Mid Nineteen Sixty's to the Mid Nineteen, Seventies, that I was Studying this Stuff. And I'll admit, that I Personally found it Very, Intriguing, Interesting, along with Mind Boggling, and Fascinating too Me at that Point n Time in Life 👉☝️.
Although the Russian, Revolution had happened? Some Forty plus Yrs previously to My School Year's of above. The ongoing Effects of it, were Still very much Evident in My own Teenage & Young Adulthood Year's of those Decade's. As well they are Still Issues of Interest in Today's WORLD a Hundred Year's Later, it Seems. Lol softly now? I can't Help but Think that what Happened too the Romanov's, Family & Especially Thier Children's Fate? Had to of Been Ordained by God. Or a Supreme Being that has Control of Such Thing's? Me, I'm Not Fully of Belief In, or Not of God Myself these Days ⁉️⁉️. I was Baptized Catholic, as a Child. Along with being Taught it Till I was around Ten years Old. The girls are nearly always seen straight faced in family photographs because each had a small gap between their front teeth. The girls felt embarrassed about this and I think combined with the long camera exposures the girls often looked serious.
Why we should remember about them.They lead privileged life, they died.We don't remember about millions people who died because of them.People who were hungry, hopleless because this Czar doesn't want to do anything for his nation.
The weren't that privileged. Their relatives were, but the grand duchesses themselves lived simply. They slept on camp cots and didn't even have real beds. They had to petition their father to let them have warm baths instead of cold showers.

As Grand and fascinating as it all seems in terms of splendor, it was historical but one must never forget the true history. Alexandra & Nicholas were related which meant the family was deeply rooted in inbred dynamics that was not so desirable.
