Excellent speech to remind Singaporeans and Malaysians that, despite our differences, we are closest neighbours. If we can work together to resolve our issues, we can achieve greater success than we would as a single nation, because we will now be able to treat each other with more respect as good neighbours rather than taking each other for granted as a single family.

A brilliant speech. A speech that would have obtained prior consent with Malaysia. Malaysia grew by riding on the economic growth of Singapore. Now, Singapore needs to sustain its future prosperity by forging closer links with a rising Malaysia, one that will no longer need to depend as much on Singapore. Malaysia has developed bilateral links with China and for geo-strategic reasons, so is China. Even the Russian Foreign Minister has pledged to help Malaysia join BRICS for which Singapore has yet to make a similar move. I see Malaysia growing stronger and in return, Singapore will benefit by riding on Malaysia's success.

We believe in caring and sharing with WOM. although 60 years of independency both singapore and malaysia are still caring and sharing for one another especially on the causeway jam issue. Malaysia should always be grateful to singapore on the water sharing price. And we definitely welcome more malaysian to work for singaporean.in singapore.
