Doctor Who has had some BIG story points in the last 60 years! But do you remember when a SECOND Big Bang was set off and how it revived the universe? This story was the culmination of a series-long arc in Matt Smith’s tenure as the Eleventh Doctor. Known as the “Total Event Collapse”, this was a story from Showrunner Steven Moffat. While it was a confusing arc, it marked a big step up from other series finales.

Do you think the cracks are a good explanation for people not remembering invasions?
People forget stuff like Amy's parents and the Doctor could only come back because Amy remembered them (Amy grew up next to a crack meaning she could do this). So not everything would necessarily come back properly automatically. Rory as an auton was more real because he was based of Amy's memories as well.
I'm also not sure if it accounts for invasions post 2010, but it occurred through all of time so why not. Some people think Miracle Day takes place in a pre-cracks 2011 for example.

What I do like about this finale was, that not everything was explained, as to be left to be explained in the future or not. It gives wiggle room, keeps mystery and weirdness to Doctor Who; it’s sublime aweness.
