One of my cousins has a 74 Camaro, it’s bright red, and is in beautiful condition. To be honest, it almost looks exactly like the car in this movie, but the mid 70’s camaro’s do look very similar.
I had 5 brothers ( not all living now ) . The brother I was closest to... he graduated from HS 1976. I was young young, he ultimately taught me to race cars. They all built them from the ground up. My dad was big into racing/ a won often. He was very good. The one that taught me to drive... he raced everything motorcycles, speedboats, cars, if it had an engine - he raced it. He won ( regularly) @ Darryl Starbird’s car shows /Tulsa. He also won regularly on the tracks. His best friend - always shot his cars W/Airplane paint. All my brothers we’re gear heads. But Steve was the best. The eldest still has a body shop. Steve was naughty when he was young. Had to get into some t try trouble before he shut it down. He use to run from the cops... he go to the tracks W/his motorcycle’s, so he could get away. I got clocked @ 140 something miles an hr. / public hwy. It was the county sheriff that clocked him. He and his buddy hide the car in the barn. Didn’t do any good. Sheriff new who owned the car. 🙃 Guess which brother taught me to drive. 🙃⚡️😂. They all taught me how to hunt, fish, drive, run farm equipment... everything really. Steve told me from the get go - don’t think your going to get cut any slack. He told young... if I couldn’t hold my own, I couldn’t run with them. So I learned, and I did hold my own. Besides... my elder sister was a goody two she’s, my younger sister was so shy, she barely spoke when spoken to. Yes the middle girl, with the classic middle child behavior. 🤫😆

The stripes are appropriate for a Z28 from 1970-1973. 1974 and1977, (the Z28 package was not available for 1975 or 1976,) had different stripes and the one in the movie has no Z28 badging. The front and rear spoilers are the style that were fitted to 1974 and 1977 Z28s, but it's not unknown to have them fitted to base models from 1974-1977. The cowl induction hood scoop is clearly aftermarket as well.

Wouldn’t do all the autobot related badges and so on, just like how this Camaro looks. Drop a 350 crate and a muncie in it, and if it doesn’t have 3.73 gears I’d make it so. Decent on the street and highway.
