Thanks for another nice video, it's interesting to see how a negligence can ruinsomething that must have been (and will be again) a great bonsai. I like that you are not afraid to cut the branches back so drastically, I would be tending to do it in some steps but it seems that the trees are able to cope with such drastic pruning.
I was not so bold when I first started, the more I work on the trees the more I learn about the horticultural aspect and how much cut backs they can tolerate. I am still learning, it never stops.
Hi Steven, i have turned on the captions and you should be able to read them. In my newer videos I have made a point of adding sub titles in english. These should be good for you. This is a very old tree and I rescued it a few years ago. My guess is that it is up wards of 80 year old. Love to have you visit. The tree lives on after the artist (if all goes well). That is what I love about bonsai.
