Royal Special: The Prince and Princess of Wales in Washington DC (1985)

In November 1985, ITN followed Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales on their visit to the US capital. Charles and Diana were received at the White House by President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan on the day of their arrival. During their four-day visit, the royal couple graced a number of star-studded receptions and charity events attended by celebrities including Gloria Vanderbilt, Estee Lauder, David Hockney, Tom Selleck, Clint Eastwood, John Travolta, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Joan Collins, and others!

You can clearly see the jealousy Charles had for Diana. A proper husband would be proud of his wife, letting her shine. It irritated Charles when his wife got more attention than him.
