Actually yes, I wish they made more smart teen romcoms. They used to be so much better, I mean ten things I hate about you and clueless, etc were all cutesy and geared towards teens but they become classics because they were smart even when their characters were meant to be stupid
@g7dmother •}:{• A modernized version yes. 10things.. Was based on taming of the shrew by shakespeare and clueless was a high school version of Emma by Jane austen
Stella Bella yes those were the days when teen movies were modernizations of classic literature/Shakespearean plays. Cruel Intentions was an update on Dangerous Liaisons, like the comment above said Clueless was Emma as a 90’s teen flick. And idk if this counts but I remember loving the Clair Danes Leo DiCaprio version of Romeo+Juliet that took place in 1990’s Southern California. All those movies have held up pretty well.

The Legacy of Gaming To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before was not a well written movie script. (I haven’t read the books so I’m judging it solely on the movie). The pacing was off, the dialogue is cringe and the movie needs to be played at x2 speed. It feels like everyone is acting in slow motion. That movie put me to sleep REAL quick. And yet, I can’t help but be a tiny bit excited for the next one. Guess I’m trash for shitty teen romance movies
can we stop pretending that friendships are worth any less than romantic relationships? Like just once I want a movie to end with nobody becoming a couple and everyone just being best friends and being cool with it.
Virtual Soul you do realise his not actually creating the characters he just plays the part his given, as written by the writers and directed by the director.
I think he should choose different movies. The characters he plays are just the same bc the movies are the same. He should be given a chance to show he is a good actor by taking a more serious role.

At first it was fine i mean i understand that's how our generation talk but then they kept dropping every sarcastic answer they can think of and it just became redundant and cringy.

I think that Lana Condor really made Noah Centineo pop because it has been 3 movies and the other two, he is just not dreamy in them. Lana is the key. Go Lana!
Naaa. Difference was that Noah Centineo did not play your average guy. He played a boy that was actually different. Also, “to all the boys I loved before” had a way, way better story that was well thought (it’s based a book) the other two are just your average love story.
I think that it did improve his performance because they had really good on screen chemistry. But I think Noah’s talented these movies are just written really poorly.
It was partly the great chemistry they had together, but his character was much better written, and Noah is genuinely cute and charming. He knows how to sell a character. It's not that he doesn't have talent, he just needs to start picking better projects.

Sup bitch ASS yes his role in movies are basically the same person but his role in the fosters is great but he gets put in because he was the replacement for Jake T Austin halfway through the show he plays Jesus I recommend it
Kalexiya Yow yeah the role he plays is good but it kinda sucks once you get used to Jake T Austin and Noah kinda plays the character differently and doesn’t look as much like Mariana

A Netflix teen summer rom-com with Noah Centineo. I see we're trying to spice things up this summer.
SixPomegranateSeeds I think they’re going for a brand new approach, whole new plots bc of course they’ve never done a rom com with Noah centineo before :)

Noah Centineo is like the Starbucks of teen romcoms. You can't sit through one of those movies without seeing him appear somewhere.
All of theses Noah Centineo movies are the same. Change my mind 🤷🏻♀️
Well I would say Sierra burgess was a littleeee different...?
His only good movie is To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before because he acts the “bad boy” role. Ish. Every other role he’s acted is this soft goofy boy and it just doesn’t work.
They have difrent titles so therefor they are different
I like Noah, but i have to agree. They all seem so stereotypical and uninteresting. Tatbilb is my one of my favorite movies tho..
Cara Barnes tf lol grow up. that’s the most immature answer 😂
Actually yes, I wish they made more smart teen romcoms.
They used to be so much better, I mean ten things I hate about you and clueless, etc were all cutesy and geared towards teens but they become classics because they were smart even when their characters were meant to be stupid
Well yeah but those are just the ones we remember. Don't forget about the hundreds of terrible highschool romance movies that came out.
Ten things I hate about you is and will always be my favorite
Jessica _Jam does them “loosely” being based on Shakespearean plays make them any less good or something? They were still more original than this mishmash horseshit
The only good part of the movie was when Celia said. "I'm not your back up." 12:34

No, you're not the only one. A woman who doesn't have many female friends is bad news.
Take it from me. I know that all too well.
yeah misogyny is a pretty bad red flag tbh
Shamu Wow lmaooo couldn’t have said it better myself
As someone who used to do that, Lemme tell you something. Never and I mean never date a girl who does that. She is misogynistic and thinks that being feminine is bad. So whenever you show emotion(you know like a normal person) she will ridicule you for that because she thinks it's not“manly”. Don't date girls like that my brothers. You deserve better.
prageetha dev exactly, this is why it sucks to be in a society that tells you embracing you femininity is wrong, for both men and women. I honestly want a guy who will show me his emotions, how else do you form a real connection with a person you’re supposed to love?
they really just combined sierra burgess with to all the boys i loved before 🙂
Not really. This wasn't creepy as fuck, nor was it well written.

The writers tried way too hard to make the characters (especially the female lead) appear "quirky" and "edgy" by adding in sarcastic comments in every freakin conversation happening.

No, To all the boys I've loved is well written, Lana had nothing to do with it.
I think that it did improve his performance because they had really good on screen chemistry. But I think Noah’s talented these movies are just written really poorly.
Also the plot and the writing
It was partly the great chemistry they had together, but his character was much better written, and Noah is genuinely cute and charming. He knows how to sell a character. It's not that he doesn't have talent, he just needs to start picking better projects.
