used to call it contact paper back in the day, now more like shelf liner tho that's a bit wide for shelves, but still handy stuff (tho soft and prone to scuffing/tearing so not good for a garage floor :)

Chuck you were really fortunate to get these contractors, the guy is a tile genius, no laser or straight edge the only time I saw a level was when you were explaining the bar area.
They started out with a measured chalk line. 👍
I like the large tiles used indoors, makes cleaning easier, but have found out that you need to remind your remodelers not to put slippery tile down in the bath areas! I've been to hotels in Bangkok that didn't follow this rule and the floors were as slippery as ice.
Love watching your daily video. Especially the renovation can't wait to see the finished product. Love how there so much live and team work in the family.

So true about spice and medicine they need to be kept in the fridge or freezer or they will go bad quickly. Almost need an extra fridge just for that purpose.

What’s your real opinion about the combination wall floor…. Looks nearly the same living in a box

my real opinion is that is what I picked out as far as a color.... Not sure what you mean by live in a box... There is no cabinets yet so that is why it is empty. We don't live in the kitchen or even at home mostly. It is not finished yet.......
On the last leg until the cabinets are installed. Looks really good Chuck. I can honestly say that i like the variety of content you provide. Thanks!

Any day you wake up and see the green side of the grass is a good day…..sometimes doing nothing gives you time for contemplation…and reflection….on how lucky we are to be in Thailand…. Today will mark my 2nd year retirement here….and seeing everything going on in America right now…. I’m glad I’m here….
There's no place like Thailand for us also. But I have to say before we came we spent nine months on the road traveling around america. If you turn off the everything sucks TV you'll find America is still beautiful and people are still wonderful and most places.
Just do what you want as content. This will help with the potential of boredom.

How bizarre… you looked at your watch and it said 17.25, I looked at mine and it too said exactly 17.25… different day though!!
Looking at all that work, I like stained, polished concrete, but an attack dog can hit the door a lot better with a commercial Berber carpet, but such are my own thoughts, considering a myriad of variables in the realm of possibilities.

Chuck, I have been telling people that for years. When you are retired, you have done it all and don't feel the urge to do stuffs so much anymore. Been to over 30 countries and over 40 states in America. Staying home is like staying at a luxury resort for me now.

Inviting the monks to bless the house? For most of us Buddhist Thai, this is good to do. But not always necessary.
Filling in the roadway edge will make it a whole lot safer. Had a similar problem there but they wouldn't let us fill it in .. most annoying. Renos looking great- like that edge they did very classy. Bushyboy Oz.

You've asked this question once and I've answered you once. I'll try one more time. 2 quarts of beer are roughly about 800 calories. My age and my activity level I burn about 3,500 calories a day. My daily diet doesn't consist of breads and pastas. Night time eat mostly just meat or fruit. Does your daily diet allow you to get fat?
