The game that saved my life. Countless times. Will be my 100th platinum trophy. I waited so many years to reach 99 platinums, just to leave the special place for FFX
I’m also thinking of going for the platinum. My first and favorite FF of all time and I’ve gotten the platinum trophy for many FFs since then but never X. I only have 30 platinums so I’m not saving any special place for it just yet 😆 good luck!
Thanks for making this! Interesting the things we completely missed on first play through compared to now when we’re all obsessed and have basically studied and mastered this game lol. I hope sometime in the very far future you get a chance to replay the FFs you’ve played in the last few years and be able to do videos like this for those down the line!
That was such a great video! I loved going back with you. Especially seeing how much you've done for the game since and seeing how much you've learned about it too.
Great video Berk, lots of fun to look back! Final Fantasy X is one of the games (perhaps THE game) that got me into games. My first save would have been a war crime though! Definitely didn’t even beat the game, I was far too bad at it!
You probably started the game on the other sphere grid mode,I can't remember exactly why or how but the stats on it were half of what they used to be,I had to restart my own play through after literally a week of trying to beat a boss. So yeah, for some reason that's a thing.
This game I’ve said it before is a stone cold classic and one of my favourites of all time, think I might start playing it again I’m not joking when I say that, it’s fantastic, looking forward to watching all of this😀😉😎
thanks for sharing this. It's rare nowadays to see people share their honest hundred hours of RPG save file, while everyone bragging about how PERFECT game they can achieve (100%++, complete items/unlockables, OPTIMISED STATS etc) in only 15-20 hours playtrough :)
My first FF game as well. Still remember on PS2 back in the day as a kid not getting past Mihen Highroad and then coming back a few years later in middle school to actually get past it and beat the game. Have played it through 100 percent a few times since then. This and Kingdom hearts, Jak and Daxter, and Ratchet and Clank are my childhood.
I still have all my memory cards for PS1 PS2 and gamecube ❤ It's absolutely ridiculous that I've moved house several times over the last 20-25 yeats and yet all these memory cards have come every time despite not owning a ps1 ps2 or gamecube anymore 😅
I could not love this more. Revisiting past saves on life changing games is something so close to my heart. My first final fantasy was VIII on the PC and when I think back on it, I’m glad those files are dead and gone. But my old IX save is still around. 😬
I still have my original PS2, ffx, and memory card. That will always hold a special place in my heart. I've been collecting ffx for PS2, PS3 (collector's edition), PS4 (came with calendar), vita, and switch. If they ever re-release on ps5 for a physical edition, square has my money.
This was such a fun watch! I remember the first time I played Blitzball - I rinsed it until i believe Tidus was in his level 70s. I completely agree with you that at high levels its a game of how many goals can you get in a match. My best effort was 11-0, maybe 12 but i do still have a photo i took of my TV with the 11 score. Good times.
Needletime Livestream would be worth the watch for sure, still playing ffx to this day. Thanks for this video, my daughter is playing for the 1st time, I'll be going on there to see what she does with a fresh look and she has quite a bit of knowledge since I've been playing her whole life lol but thank you! This was so great to watch
Hi Dansg08, I have become a loyal fan of yours since you did the final fantasy 10 walkthrough videos on TH-cam. This was an inspiring video from the past. I remember the first time I played final fantasy x as well and after all these years I still can’t get past that chocobo racer for tidus Sigil
I've first known about the channel thanks to the first ffx remaster ps3 walkthrough. Always great to have a look back at this classic game on whichever platform it runs.
The very First playthough of final fantasy 10 very interesting thank you so much for doing a video about this also like you ff 10 will always be one of my all time favorite final fantasy games hands down
I'm a fan of you since 2019, your walkthrough is what convinced me to buy FFX and FFXII on switch, gave up after beating dark valefor for FFX and the last post game boss for FFXII😂 your the best! ❤🎉
i'll never forget like 2001 or 2002 sitting in my conservatory on one evenining sitting there playing this on my tiny crt tv, grinding that bridge outside Macalania temple because i was terrible at the game and had to grind for hours to beat Seymour
I am an old hat at FFX and did not know a few things mentioned in this video. About the 170 agility being max or the 186 luck being a critical max for Dark Anima. All of my experience was just hundreds of hours over many saves blind.
awesome video man. found your channel a few months ago and was hooked. FFX for me is a special part of my childhood. i remember the day i beat it, i remember picking Gundam over FFX from my local flea market lol about a month before it came out in stores; dumb i know lol i kick myself often when i think of doing it. I could of been playing a month before a lot of other people.. but no.. i chose Gundam lol on PS2. i mean.. it's Gundam, could ya blame me!? a few year's ago when my ex-gf tore my heart out, FFX was ruined for me. I wanted nothing to do with it and I stopped my platinum run of it. recently I watched the Resonant Arc Podcast on youtube and heard you on there when they did their FFX review. it brought back a lot of memories for me, and made me want to restart it. I plan on doing a 9999hp/999mp run with max damage set to 9999 and try to beat Penance if possible. got any tips lol? keep up the great work man!
This game and jak and dexter 1 have such a special place in my heart. Two of the most majestic games in the world. The environment and game world sucked you in better than a prime Pamela Anderson
I remember in my first run i used to flee in every battle and thus my team was VERY underleveled, like almost everything oneshot me by the time i reached gagazet, and somehow i powered trough it until the guardian wyrm which was unbeatable, so i gave up. I've been clueless for years later until i stumbled on your channel and 100%'ed ff X
I wish I could view my first FFX save. I got a Playstation magazine with a demo disk in the mail, and the disk had something on it that wiped my entire memory card. I knew it was the demo disk when I put a couple quick saves on the memory card, tried the demo again, and the memory card was wiped again. So many hours gone in an instant.

I got my start with the Nes as a console gamer at age 5 in 1989. I played Nes, Arcade, Apple 2 and other computer gaming systems like that at the time. This game I got a copy of the year it came out. It is my 4th favorite of the 17 Final Fantasy I have played to date.
That blitzball team was so balanced. For me Tidus was so much higher leveled than the rest of the game that a sphere shot from halfway was enough to score so no one ever got any exp.
I really love this. I have clear memories of my first playthrough in probably 2003? I had never played an RPG and I interpreted the sphere grid as optional and decided I only needed to activate HP and strength 😅😅
I think I still have my original save from back in the day too. I'd honestly be surprised if Lulu, Rikku and Kimahri had even 50 kills. I only ever used Tidus, Yuna and Auron, maybe Wakka rarely.
My first save file hit a brick wall with Evrae, with a severely underleveled party due to abusing Flee. Rather than grinding, I just started the game over and beat him my second time through. It was such an achievement to me that I saved in a dozen different slots.
I recently hooked up my ps2, still have all my memory cards with og saves. Fun trip down memory lane. Bummer I didn't get to experience the int content until HD remaster on vita.
It looks like you backtracked to Khimari's grid as soon as you got those level 1 key spheres on the Moonflow. Just went back, opened up the whole grid to all the characters and turned it into a pseudo-expert grid kind of situation.
Man this brings back memories for me when I first played this game around the same time. I actually still have my PS2 and the memory card from it. I never knew there was a PS2 version of this game with the dark aeons and penance.
International Edition yup. NA edition had none, it was brutal.
@@giudasilva3651 I actually prefer the game without that stuff. I like doing the omega ruins, but all the other post game stuff always felt like such a grind it never felt worth it...i am also a coward lol!
@@connorlarkinbass I know we're a year on, but over in EU/PAL regions, we got the Dark Aeons and Penance on the Ps2 version. I think it was just the original American release that didn't include them?
i accidently delted the s in tidus and didnt see what letter it was, i Thought it was an e, so tidue it was forever to me lol
ok I saw the kill figures with anima instantly knew you missed the destuction sphere in besaid and maybe macalania so were locked behind dark aeons
"My caladbolg is not powered up"
😅👀 🐦 🐔 🎈
How did you beat it at that age lol I was terrible but I made it to the final aeon fight with jecht my characters were so weak lol idk how I even made it there
how did u transfer the save file from the memory card to your pc? 😀
I have a 200 hour save on a memory card somewhere, but I think I have lost it.
you imported on the emulator?
I'm kinda confused. You said this is the ps2 save but then mentioned a modded / imported save file with thin character models
Is FFX perfect? no. Is it the best? probably not. but i have the most fondest memories of my childhood with this game.
Duuuuude the nostalgia
