Hi there
I was the person who wrote the article on final fantasy x wikia about the Home Glitch. I play on PS2 international version and replayed this glitch over and over again, discovering several secrets in this game. FFX is one of my most beloved games ever, playing this once or twice every year since 2004
I'm glad I stumbled upon this video, I love FFX myself and I'm throwing away my plans for the next 20 minutes lol

The somersaulting Anima at the end was hilarious. Interesting stuff! FFX is still my top game. I've played it on PS2, PS3, and currently playing it on Switch.
I hope one day they'll make another ffx game just as epic! An icon I say.

My favorite thing about the PS2 version is definitely the menus and text, that faded part on the side looks so cool to me! Does anyone know if theres a mod to add PS2 UI to steam version?

I like Steam FFX better but it's the little things I miss the most, like those menus. Especially the save menu. I miss the old save menu so much

16:07, Yuna! Not that way!
(Do the glitch after acquiring anima) You can add anima directly to party by facing seymour use anima then choose pain for some reason it's the only attack that wont softlock afterwards (only works with anima, all other aeons never fully make it on battle and crashes or softlocks your game) when you get to the lake scene after check your party will now have a anima in your party not in aeon list. Functions just like a character can even swap her out for another. Do no switch with yuna it will get stuck she wont stop running.
hey i know it's been two years but i truly cannot make sense of what this comment is saying to do or what it means. like anima will be a normal character like tidus? i need to know if this is you taking the piss because the idea its real is gonna drive me into a luigi in sm64 style issue

On the Seymour Natus fight, if Anima's not treated as a summon... Could you summon multiple Anima?
You've given me the FFX bug again... I haven't even finished stat maxing on my main file 🤣👌 currently playing it on console though so I can't spam 2x-4x and items like I do on the PC. Keep up the awesome work mate.
A lot of these work because reskins of the fights occur with Yuna in the party (e.g. the warrior mark zombies in Zanarkand vs the warrior monks in Bevelle)
The camera will be the same across both.
Tidus:
"Yuna, summon the most powerful invocation!"
Yuna:
"Better RUNNNNNN FORRESSSSST"
In FFX-2 I was able to glitch myself out in the Bikanel Desert where you have the person not allowing you to go wander off to the desert but I have not been able to replicate it and I haven't found info about it online. I recall getting stuck to the fence on the other side and then I screwed things up by running back in by myself so I don't know if you could have ran further away.
This was done on the PS2 version or the PS3 remaster can't remember which. Anyone else tried this and succeeded? lol I might just remember completely wrong and didn't actually get on the other side of the fence

I got this glitch without looking up anything back then there was no way to look it up ( living in a village where there was no phones let alone internet) but there was one problem whenever I used Yuna in battles the game would crash but works fine after you gain her in the normal story line
Oh that's wild… Fun to be able to just do random things like that for no other reason than to see some things go a bit wonky…

There’s actually 1 more glitch I have not seen anywhere.. I found this by accident way back in 2002 and it’s actually similar to the al bhed home glitch but instead in macalania (where tidus and yuna swims)
Hey man! Glad to see you're still around and still as big a fan as me of ffx. You're video popped up in my Google feed on the homepage so here I am!
Anyway, 7 was my intro to final fantasy, when I was 16 I played endlessly. I had two tvs in my room and I would be playing ff7, which later would be ffx, and on the other TV I would have my favorite anime series Inuyasha playing endlessly
So after I destroyed ff7, and by that I mean logging over 670 hours, doing everything I possibly could and then finally getting knghts of the round and becoming a master lol I moved on to ffx which changed my life.
It was probably the first story that made me cry as a teenager. Ugh man you kno like I kno,.... And I didn't even have the version with the dark aeons. So up until about 2016 I didn't even know about these dark aeons. It's very upsetting to me. But I can deal with that. And, of course, I have you to help me with that.

Dude I saw a game of yugioh and it was on DBZ style and I thought it was a blast. Almost made wanna buy me that console and play and experience it myself!!
There is a glitched chest in all 3 remake versions(ps3,ps4 and Vita) The lv4 key sphere chest in home is unobtainable bc it's floating in the air above the character. I'm unsure what causes this but, it's happened every single save for me and resetting the save doesn't fix it either. It's only a temporary problem seeing as you can farm the spheres later but, it's annoying that it hasn't been fixed yet.
Damn. Now. Ive got to play ffx for the 50th time....then viii for the 80th...
I was able to trigger this bug on the PS4 rerelease.
One thing that comes to mind in this area is how, in the background, I always thought it was saying "I'm annoying, huh?" And I thought to myself....yes....yes you are....and mute! lol

Nah I’d say the largest glitch was in my PS4 title I got the trophy for killing Penance when I killed a wasp in the Calm Lands O.o

I've done a save file edit to put myself at the start before.
Yuna ended up in my party for the bossfight in the airship with Rikku before besaid. She just stands in the water.
There's only one point in the game Yuna can ever be in the water and that's the bossfight after the shoopuf..
Even in that boss she just sorta stands there trapped inside of the boss so it's funny to see she just does that whenever she's underwater.
I summoned Anima there which I think crashed the game but things were a little wild.
I've never tried bringing Auron underwater, I wonder how the game would react then.
I think it’s be pretty cool to make another part and have you play as jecht on the journey with apron and yunas dad
I'm quite surprised you can continue the story after Bevelle. I would have thought, once the game drops you in Macalania, the state of all the other cutscenes and bosses would have been registered as played already.
So I get it right, you Trigger with this everything from the story after you enter the home again or does it stop the trigger like for example at the calm lands? :)

There's a bug in the PS4 Europe version where the guard to calatabolg won't move no matter what tried beating my o.oo time he didn't move tried leaving then coming back and winning nothing seems to happen if u enter sin before getting it

I summoned the Magus Sisters against Flux (you cant normally have them by that point)

If I ever become part of making a JRPG, let it be known I will never allow missiable, unique items. That always annoys me in games.

It's basically the first release for international version on PS2 so we got bugs like this. The late release and remaster fixed this...
"International" is just the subtitle of the game in Japan, when it was re-released a year or so after it's first release. That is, Final Fantasy X: International. It had more content, and English with subtitles was an added feature. Most of this has been included in all future versions in all regions since, but I assume most known major glitches, like the one in this video, have been fixed. What that means is that you either need to buy the original Japanese "International" version for PS2, as well as a PS2 setup (tools that hack it for full regional support or buy a Japanese PS2) that can run it, or just use emulation (this is preferred).
Ay square-enix see there's this small problem I have against evrae, Yuna kinda gets stuck into her running animation as soon as I start summoning. Might you fix that shiet?

One note; This specifically only works for the original run of FFX International, not the Ultimate Hits reprint

Let's be honest, you glitched into home so you could hear that guy admit his shortcomings
While there aren't that *many* glitches the FFX glitches are really meaningful like the guy sprinting around in Guadosalam pushing you while opening the door which breaks the barrier to just straight up leave and skip the entire 'boring' stuff with Seymour that you just have to wait your way through. This game has fantastic speedrun glitches.

If only Luca skip was a thing. The loading zone is still there but they put an invisible wall in the way to prevent passing through it.
Is it possible to just grab the Al Bhed primers and return to the desert? Or you are locked in Home?

how does the "new game" plus work? I know it's all items, weapons and equipment carry over right? Does that apply to Aeons and Sphere Grid? Cause I would still want to level up and do the grid the way I want. Just obviously grinding would be easier/faster with the better weapons.

Are there any other glitches/jank in FFX besides this, Djose temple skip and seagull tidus minigame skip? As a kid my friend told me he couldn't get Tidus' ultimate weapon bc his version of FFX was "bugged" and he couldn't get below 0.0.0 in the minigame
Some minor stuff like Auto-Potion triggering on dead characters (read: wasting a Potion), double Overdrive gain on a few Monk enemies, making your characters invisible vs Abyss Worm etc

Thats so unfortunate 😞 if I could offer any bit of help, is just keep multiple saves at different locations so rather than going back to the beginning, your just jumping back maybe a few hours

@@andyyates8002 You probably already know this but you can transfer your primer completion across save files, so at least you could continue with whichever save you want, after that.

Edit: Unless I don't remember correctly, I didn't even do what you did in the video! Somehow I was able to get past by being pathed the wrong way so that I ended up running past. But I probably was spamming confirm so maybe I was initially close enough that it let me get past far enough that it caused me to path weirdly I suppose.

A video (s) dedicated solely the glitches in FFX would be cool. Stuff like Guadosalam skip, Clasko skip and Djose skip is well enough known through speed-running community but I'd wager the vast majority of players had no idea these existed.

If i remember correctly you can sync al bed books in between save files so you could load an old save get the books and sync to the latest save, i think
