- On Sunday 14th of April, locals, families and the railfans have gathered around the special heritage event that took place at platform 9 in Wellington Railway Station, which Kiwirail has held for the celebration of 150 years of the Hutt Valley line between Wellington and Lower Hutt. We have seen a variety of locomotives along with Mainline Steam and Steam Incorporated's rolling stock come into Wellington to be displayed. That included C 132 from Silver Stream Railway, RM 31 "Tokomaru" Standard Railcar from Pahiatua Railcar Society, Ka 942 from Mainline Steam, Da 1410 from Steam Incorporated, Kiwirail's ZARGO MAXI M battery shunter on top of the ES wagon and the grubby DL 9233.
Would like to note that I've upgraded the font of text in this video. A change was needed after quite the while.
Sit back and take charm, enjoy the video!

Amazing Ian. Great shots! See you on May fourth. We can work out where we meet.
Great stuff, I especially like those shots at Takapu Road and Redwood, Would have done the same If i was able to get in to town early enough.
Getting some decent footages is better than no footages at all!
@@DFB7064geek My thoughts exactly.
This was really cool! It's great to see the older stuff preserved and being used.
Great video im surprised mainline steam didnt throw in the 1908 aa car to show the different generations of carriages instead of all steel cars.
It’s a shame really. I also expected the DJ to be out and about…
