150 years of Railways in Wellington - PWD 531 Running at the Silver Stream Railway

On the 21st of January 1874, Wellington experienced its first steam locomotive operating on a short section of track which is now the Wairarapa Line. Exactly 150 years to that date, I visited the Silver Stream Railway in Upper Hutt where I am a member. Price 221 had taken Ww 571 and C 847 to the backshunt for display during the day and Barclay #1749/PWD 531 was providing rides in wooden L class wagon, 4246.
