Unbelievable elite gameplay. Only .1% of Elden Ring gamers can do this. Cause there's no way average peeps like me could walk with that little HP without getting clapped by Malenia.
yea... ur right. that 0.1% who have turned off damage collision. Watch the fights carefully. She would have hit him MANY MANY times in the course of those fights. Look closely at 04:01. The weapon passes right through him... even as he winds up with the magma curved sword. He makes it look easy with these abilities because.. he's got damage collision turned off for the player. He's god moding it for style points. Again.. look at 1:02. He dodges that straight thrust WAY too late. She's already passed it through him by the time he rolls. Again at 01:55, the kick.. slow it down.. it passes right through his head. You can SEE wind animations go through his head.. .yet.. no damage taken. We should believe he juked that by milimeters.

His timing and decision making is off That's precisely why my skepticism. Ive seen no hit runs. Ive seen these attacks dodged and the timings of them and their hit box The setvip and weapons may bebfine but hes selling skill that just aint there .
@@MrMagyar5 do you not know what a hitbox is? It doesn’t matter if it looks like the attack connected. as long as he’s out of the hitbox which is of course invisible to the player, he won’t get hit
I told myself I would start my 2nd playthrough after beating her but I managed to honorably beat her first phase after dying to her 2nd phase I then kept dying to phase over and over again

Fun fact: How I beat Malenia the fist time was Taker's Flames L2 spam and cowardice.

I used the Bloodhound Step in a Faith Dagger to dodge those. I find it easier to face her with it.

That only works if the seal or staff boost some type of incarnations/sorceries. Like the meteor staff boosts gravity magic 30%. If you have 2, the boost is 2 times.
I just know FS are making a new patch as we speak... "Patch 1.09 patch notes: Increased the damage of all Malenia's attacks. Increased health, poise, resistances, speed and tracking"

Man the finisher in the 2nd fight is some of the best Scarlet Aeonia cancels I’ve seen since a BvB of Hoarah Loux & Malenia where she got powerbombed out of Aeonia to death.
After good 4-5 months break I came back to new game+ today, got to her and I'm loosing way to live lol. You are absolute beast with all builds.
Now that a lot of people can dodge her waterfowl, she does seem a bit too easy 😅
problem is to learn to dodge it
she is still extremely hard if not the hardest boss on the first playthrough and like 90% of players will still struggle with her on multiple playthroughs.

i cant dodge it despite being able to dodge a shit ton of everything else. Despite that i was still able ace after a few tries. i think i was overpowered by the time i got to her

How to destroy malenia : be a fucking God in the game
In my experience, two of the best weapons to use against her are the ones used by her greatest enemies: the Starscourge Greatswords and Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear. Their damage output and weapon skills just make them incredibly strong. You can spam L2 with either and, provided you don't get caught in the middle of your attack, take off a huge chunk of her health while rendering her unable to retaliate.

My Strategy: Summon Mimic Tear(for distraction). Build for Marais Execuutioner Sword(+9 or +10). Use Talismans that increase attack with consecutive hits. Hit Malenia with Freeze Pots to proc Frost. Hitting Malenia with just ONE Eochaid Dancing Blade, brings her below half health(phase 1) It just takes 2 weapon arts to defeat her in phase 1. Phase 2 is pretty much a repeat. The fight goes much quicker if the Mimic a tually lands a Weapon Art(but not necessary). I never see her use Waterfowl Dance, and she only uses Scarlet Awonia at the beginning.
Most people dont count summons in boss fights as a strat, that's what I did in my first playthrough though too. Once I went NG+1 I stopped using summons completely and it feels like a different game now in terms of difficulty and the amount I'm learning.
We've come a long way from just the old days where you had to just pin her up against the entrance wall and bloodhound fang her to death with your mimic buddy first phase, and then pray she aggro'd your mimic in the second phase while you clapped them cheeks from behind.

Just use Rivers of Blood and summon a mimic to do the same. L2 spam until she goes phase 2. Repeat and win. If she does waterflow dance and you can't dodge it then reset. Took me 3 tries and won. No buffs ... only rivers of blood spam. If you really wanna be cheecky ... when she goes into her dance then throw a frost pot to her so she gets staggered out of it if you can.
Ive been debating respc'ng my character. Thank you for this. Im starting to learn her moves and got her health down the most ive ever have but shes still not felld and im so pissed about it lol. Im a battle mage so my stats aren't all in one place
In 2nd phase. You still can use comet azur, but you need to timed it right..
If you already blast her with Ranni's Dark Moon at the end of her 1st phase, i believe the spell's effect still there (need to recheck), once she did Scarlet Aeonia attack, quickly drink Mix physics (magic shrouding and cerulean hidden tear) cast Terra Magica and blast her with Comet Azur. Job done.
I believe she took extra second to finish the first Scarlet Aeonia attack (or feels like she did). That's why you can one shot her.

Oh 100% yes. Any boss can be beaten solo with any strat as long as skill is involved.
My fight with malenia looks a lot like this. Except with a lot more of me running and using Rannis dark moon only xD
I was spawning these skelettons and revive themself, ran behind the skelettons or Melania and when I tought she will get stunned I used Azurs Comet. Was able to get down about 50% of her max HP by doing that.

The first build reminds me of the classic SL1 Artorias strat. Start charging up Firestorm, the duck makes him whiff his attack, and then chase him down with Combustion.

I love that FS dialed up the rpg aspects to 11 this time, really giving the players freedom to make all kinds of builds. The drawback is, and this is a HUGE drawback in my opinion, that theres such a huge disparity between whats viable. Ive beaten malenia several times now. It still takes me many many hours every time, just because Im not running the absolutely optimal busted bleed build or stacking spirit ashes and mimic tears or whatever those things are. Its ok for most bosses since theyre doable without spirit ashes and meta builds. But malenia particularly is just tuned a tad too hard.
skill issue bro, you can cheese almost every boss in this game and if you want to stick to your build then learn the patern lol, that probably what every one did one their first playthrough

@@RJMacReady1 i read it right, you're complaining about the difficulty, i kind of agree with you're first point but i mean yes obviously in a game you will always have good and bad weapons, and in elden ring you can make everything at least viable. And if you want to play with only one dagger yes it will but much more difficult but hey no shit sherlock of course ?!!! (and even this, can be viable if done correctly)
@@unidime3217 Im not saying it should be all things equal, Im saying theres a bigger (too big) a disparity between weapons in terms of viability than theres been in previous games. Something will always inevitably be meta, thats how it goes.
Simply put good weapons are too good, and/or the bad weapons are too bad.
@@RJMacReady1 I absolutely agree. Elden ring is a fantastic game, but the balancing of the game is something I always hate. Its such a shame because there are so many cool weapons, spells, incantations and other things to use, but because some weapons or builds are so much better then everything else everyone ends up becoming a ROB spamming, power stance colossal weapon jump atking, Moonveil blasting, Blasphemous blade weapon art spamming user at the end. I think it also has to do with the fact that end game bosses are so over tuned that you're usual build just doesn't cut it anymore and everyone ends up using mimic tear as a crutch to get through the end game. The combination between the builds that I mentioned and mimic tear also creates a lack of enjoyment since some of the hardest bosses become a cake walk and the feeling of overcoming the odds with your own skills is taken out of the game when you let your mimic take agro and turn every powerful Demi God into glorified meat pinata that you kill in 5 hits.

After a whole month of trying to beat her I decided to finally look at cheese videos….
It wasn't even a full week ago I took her down using Caestus. I had my own build though it wasn't nowhere near as strong as these, but ever since I learned how the heavy attack (Tap or holding it) could stagger her for a moment (even in mid combo), all it took was mesmerizing her attacks and I was shocked at myself for getting it on the 2nd try. I... did of course summon spirit ashes though... **Cough** Black knife **Cough**

Malenia, you’re fired
I’m on my fourth playthrough and she still kicks my ass. I tried a new approach and used two banished knight great swords at +24 and +25 with the frost ash of war. The damage output is great but they sap my stamina so much that I can’t dodge on time to get out of the way of her thrusts or waterfowl dance.
If you have the skills to evade all Malenia's attacks just like you did, any build completely destroys her, actually.

You could kill Malenia naked, with Ladle from Dark Souls 2 with this skill.
Bloodhounds fang has easily taken her out my first and second play through so far.

the builds are strong, they make her easy. If you still cant beat her with that you should try to actually use your brain and learn her moveset which is also not hard at all except waterfowl dance

Did it with mimic, some bleed buff gear and mogh spear. She does have moments when u can spam the weapon art. Still took a while to beat..tough one.

I wouldn’t exactly call these strats easy when they require you to be a hit away from death. Because I know that I personally am not good enough to not get hit at all. Hence why none of these are viable for me, at least not when using the “low health for bonus dmg” mechanic.
Use the ritual sword talisman instead of the feather talisman so you get 10 % damage at full health instead of 20 but getting 1 hit
I only got through the fight with help and a great shield with vow of the indomitable

I would imagine adulas moonblade would be good against her too. Also he knows how to dodge her every move so anything he does is gonna work. I've tried all kinds of different combinations of spells and talismans on her and I finally had to just cheese her with ancient death rancor and prince of deaths staff and mimic tear summon working in tandem. She is very hard to beat, I don't care what anyone says.

I've been watching Malenia videos as I practice dodging. I'm a faith build using the Halo Scythe, and Build 1 caught my attention because it's the same strategy as mine except mine does significantly less damage, it's useful to know for her second phase how you handle her.
What I do in my build is using Fell God then the Burn’O and then use 2 to 3 Miquellas Light’s and that alone continues to stagger her.
I'm a master at dodging her first phase it's just her second phase I'm not use to. I managed to perfectly learn her first phase in my only 3 attempts but the second phase still trifles me. Any tips?
If you use fell god , when She doing her aeonia , She Will follow with a leg Attack. Which you can Dodge with burn o flame
@@quoppp6169 yeah i’ve noticed that, the problem mainly is the health she gains once she enters her new phase.
i managed to get her below half health recently but she’s extremely aggressive and power walks towards me constantly

I tried grave scythe with black tornado flame and with 4 moves i beat both phases with the help of my black knife tiche's lifedrain same buffs in build 1 and clawmark seal +24 intead that seal.
Build 4: summon let me solo her
Easy
Build 5: summon Quoppp
mimic tear + 10 and blasphemous blade + 10 makes her easier than godrick
