She does exactly as you experienced..sail on for sure, but now I'm not so alarmed since it's common and correcting it is understandable. I was afraid it could be injectors so thankfully it shouldn't be. I've watched on YT all these done separately, but the TPS info you passed on was the first video analyzing and resetting the module. I love my 30 year running car that has tech that impresses me today. TY for passing on the data and info.
My 93 deville does this sail on every now and then. And the 1st time it did it, it kind of scared me because I didn't know what was going on. I put it in neutral while coasting. But this is a nice video. I need to figure out everything you did.

I have that problem on my son's car it is a 1993 Cadillac Deville 4.9, but also it causes the car not to start because of that idle speed motor plunger I think isn't set right we've replaced it twice and the car ran ok and then started acting up again, I wish i could bring my sons vehicle to you so you can fix it.
I have 92 deville and I’m taking the throttle off now, high idle switching out tps and idle control motor. I turned min screw but not much of a difference I think leak in muffler is why car shuts off maybe need sea foam
I have a 91 Seville and it seems to have the opposite problem I give it gas and it has a little lag to it. Seems like it takes a moment for the fuel to combust maybe it’s getting too much air. I switched out tps sensor to see if east fix but still same anyone have issues like this? Edit: I also have changed the idle controller motor messed with the screw up and down all that

I got lucky and found one of those factory service manuals on eBay for $5 ... definitely not a Chilton or Haynes .
